I can't Believe georgie was so best and Sensible in this Episode.
Honestly I think it's this moment that he sees that he needs to step up. He can tell that his parents have all this buried tension and it's getting close to boiling over.

Georgie was late getting home, sees the chaos, wonders “What the hell is going on?”, and tries to comfort his mother. At least he wasn’t negatively affected by anyone.
But never the Father who is the one carrying the weight of the world for the rest of the family. Mary is just a piece of work, self-centered, and clueless.

When the show began, he wasn’t really but now he actually is the best. And once the show ends his character arc is complete as we see him in the big bang theory

Missy and Georgie are much more relatable. Sheldon can be funny but he’s so out of touch with reality and so consumed with himself. I feel like by the last couple seasons, people were watching the show for the characters around him

George was actually right in this scene. The majority of men go through this or worst because nobody actually asked what we're going through. We have to suffer and act like nothing is happening. Females usually ignores what's going on with guys minds. That's why there's so many men ending their own lives.
To be fair, many guys I know answer with "I'm fine" when asked how they do, despite maybe not feeling good. Mainly because they believe they can't be a burden to others due to their expectations.

I’ve watched this episode at least 7 times and I do not at alll remember this scene
The irony is she blocked and snuck around made unilateral decisions behind her husband’s back for years - and then when he died, Georgie suddenly had to be the adult.
Because if she wasn’t castrating her husband, it apparently wasn’t worth it.
I honestly don't see George as doing anything wrong. If your wife or husband starts treating you like a doormat then of course you're going to subconsciously try to find an emotional connection elsewhere.
No if there’s something wrong you either need to communicate with your spouse the issue or divorce them
