This is literally the first anime I’ve ever watched back when it was on Netflix over 7 years.. I was heartbroken when I heard there’s wasn’t going to be a 2nd season back then. Anytime I asked anyone I’ve they’ve seen this anime every single one of them said they’ve never heard of it. To me that’s the beauty of it, it’s a one of a kind anime and extremely underrated💜

Listening to this just melts my heart and gives me this old and nastolgic vibes from back in the days of 2008 when I still was a kid. I completely agree with you:) Junji Ito’s hyped anime series falls short compared to Ghost Hunt. Ghost hunt is srsly terrifying and has the ability linger and haunt your mind even though over a decade has passed.

Good series never die. Animes with deep meaning and beautiful stories are hard to find nowadays. Now they have filled the industry with mediocre writing and fan service, sex jokes, auto-generated comedy that's not even funny, isekai harem and self-inserted OP protagonists to satisfy the mass. Most of all, there is no lesson in life to learn anymore. This anime has passion, sadness, delight, fear, warmth, and a magical atmostphere, which brings tears to your eyes.
Been 4-5 maybe even 6 years since I watched this, just turned 19 yesterday and randomly wanted to look this up, one of the best themes and anime’s ever and now I have nostalgia added to it lmao
The ghost hunt ending theme is amazing, the intro giving u a scary vibe and then ghost hunt itself being scary, then at the end theme it’s still creepy, but a more calming vibe, the mixture is amazing.

I'm not sure about other people or you but, I find that the show is actually scarier when you know more facts about the case. For example in the urado case: what Mai saw down the hallway was Urado and if she looked just a bit longer, what would happen? When that girl did that seance and all those spirits made her write all those papers, Urado was there with them... Maybe it's just me but the show gets scarier the more I watch and pay attention
