Can we talk about the fact that Viktor kept the robe Jayce gave him even tho he doesnt feel cold ? Or that he kept the coin they used in episode 2 for their first Arcane teleportation? I m NOT okay....😭😭😭
That "coin" wasn't from episode 2 - it was a cog that came loose when he referred to Jinx as Powder, he picked it out of the water fountain and held on to it, to be a symbolic visualization of his speech at the end, about hate and compassion being two sides of the same coin of humanity.

Fun fact, the reason why ambessa didn't notice Jinx until later is because she was staring at Sevika, which is hint in the game that her type is basically pretty boys and buff/strong women
also, some stuff id like to point out to add to the pain: 1- isha screamed mama when she was being taken away by sevika to safety 2- isha can’t speak, so jinx won’t even be able to hear her voice in her head after her death 3- it was after vi held jinx back from saving isha that jinx finally understood why vi never wanted her to come save vander when they were teens 4- vi decided in that moment she would rather lose one sister than lose both sisters and despite barely being able to stand, she used all her energy to protect jinx 5- isha was the only one in a long time to love powder and jinx at the same time (yes even more than vi and silco who only wanted powder or jinx respectively) which is why jinx experienced a calmness in her head she hasnt in a long time 6- when jinx lit up the lighter in the cave to see what happened between vi and warwick, she was worried about vi, not vander, because she saw her let her guard down and trust her 7- also that scene shows that vi is also suicidal just like jinx as she was either ready to live knowing her dad is alive and her sis was telling the truth, or die with the betrayal bonus one about mel: her crying while holding her “brother’s” face was her accepting that hes dead and this is her last time seeing him before calling out the fact its not him.

Okay but tbh I feel Cait was very aware of how Ambessa was trying to manipulate her, she was constantly questioning her. Especially questioning her when she brought innocents into the problem. Or at least she recognises this after the time skip during the season, otherwise she wouldn’t have turned around and betrayed her at the first possible opportunity. Also the time skip between act 1, to act 2 is like 6 months to a year.
@@gustavgustav2670 this. i have seen a lot of people mischaracterize caitlyn and maddie simply because they focus too much in them being together and then just simply tune out their entire conversation in that scene. people keep missing there's been a timeskip spanning months when caitlyn said she didn't think it would last that long (and that doesn't even include other hints throughout the episode). people keep saying caitlyn is disgusted by maddie and doesn't like her when she was just thinking about her concerns regarding noxus??? and i see people hating maddie so much to the point they wish she'll die when she has been nothing but sweet albeit naive and optimistic, and is actually grounding caitlyn and trying to be the voice of reason (as amanda said, she was meant to be the angel on caitlyn's shoulders as opposed to ambessa's devil)
I see people said it's weird how Cait suddenly betrayed ambessa and team up with vi in that short amount of time. I was thinking that too (I forget things easily and can't focus quite well) but after rewatching, meeting vi is just the perfect chance for her to go against ambessa! She's been waiting for this opportunity!

One thing that kind of gets overlooked in the Vander reveal: Not only does Vander (or Warwick) recognize Powder... But Jinx *recognized* Vander! Despite what he looks like, she knew the moment he said "Powder" - AND she just accepted it. No questions about how or why, this was just her father now, and he needs her help.

Act 2's Mel and Jayce B-plots seem likely to introduce other factions and characters that I can't see them properly exploring even if they used all of Act 3 to do it. I fear it's either going to be rushed and deus ex the plot or leave massive plot threads just dangling. This season is still great so far and I still have faith in their plan for the story but some of the writing choices in Act 2 definitely make me wonder how the hell they're going to wrap it up.
However this ends, I want for the creators of this to create so much more. It doesn't need to be more Arcane, or even in the LeagueOfLegends universe, but more from them - be it shorter animations, or feature length movies, or even full on series, but MORE! I think you need to go revsit a lot of Caitlyn stuff here, its very easy to miss first time through. Take the first scene with Maddie - Caitlyn shows her no affection whatsoever, and actively pulls away from her - especially when Maddie tries to kiss her. Its super clear its a rebound and she still loves Vi, its her version of coping compared to Vis fighting. Throught the Act she tells Ambessa she doesn't trust her, but Ambessa keeps stoking the flames. Caitlyn's body language throughout makes it clear she is not onboard - theres a lot of heavy animation work that goes on to show it which you only notice second time through, as Caitlyn doesnt actually say that much, and what she does say is butting heads with Ambessa. So once she meets Vi, its the final straw - building up to them getijng back together. Ambessa even says this outright, Caitlyn had to be kept away from Vi. Two more things: the change in caitlyn the moment she reconnects to Vi is huge - esepcially in the eyes. Second, caitlyn wipes Vi spits into her mouth like a freak. Caitlyn did a lot of wrong, no doubt, but she was alwsys on the path back because thats who she is - hence trying to arrest Singed. Vi was just the final thing she needed.

His daughter’s name is Orriana and she’s a League character known as the Lady of Clockwork. 42:01 Small detail, but this is the same cup AND music that was used in Season 1 act 1 when Vander was talking to Powder. 43:15 I honestly wish I could explain to you how BAD I started crying right then and there. Literally bawling my eyes out because I had been waiting for this to happen. Thanks to my cousin, I knew Vander would come back as Warwick and I waited YEARS for this reunion and I finally got it. Seriously wish the show ended there. 45:49 IMPORTANT (ISH) THING! Jayce is now wearing a leg brace and seems to carry the hammer a lot for skillfully. Considering the shape he is in, it is VERY likely he actually had to fight whenever he was, likely against the creatures the hexcore (and thus Viktor) created. It’s also very important to note that you can see Jayce breathing because of how cold it is, but you never once see Salo breathe. Whether or not you noticed it, when talking to Salo, there were many “glitches” where underneath the human skin, all Jayce saw was a monster, a puppet. Not a human. And again, his stance shows off the leg brace that looks a suspiciously similar to Viktor’s old one. It’s also very fun to notice that it is NOT in Salo’s character to worship someone. He is the kind to live a comfortable and lavish life where people serve him…and yet after Viktor “healed” him, he’s changed. He worships Viktor and is no longer himself. (If you can’t tell, I’m completely on Jayce side 😅) 49:56 VERY true! If Viktor had actually succeeded, it wouldn’t be Vander anymore. Which, ironically, is probably why the “beast” inside of him was so resistant to him at first. 52:14 That’s my personal theory, that the Hex Core is using her image to manipulate Viktor. Viktor isn’t…really Viktor anymore. He lacks the emotions he once displayed so heartedly, and even his voice is a bit distorted. He truly believes he’s doing the right thing with what little humanity he has left, but in reality, it isn’t right. I dunno if you watched any marvel movies, but he reminds me a lot of Ultron. 59:17 I think it’s less that Viktor got the good side and more than Jayce got the truth. Personally. Truth comes out tomorrow. 1:00:42 A reason why I think Jayce TRULY had a reason to kill Viktor is that he clearly cares for him. That’s his best friend, his partner, the first person to actually believe in him. He wouldn’t do anything to harm Viktor without reason, and as we can see here, it’s tearing him apart. Right after the blast, we can see the absolute hurt and agony on his face. 1:01:34 There’s a split second in this scene where you can see Singed. Dude’s alive and gave Vander the poison. Your reactions to Cait's arc are valid, and it was a rollercoaster of a ride with her this season. I'd encourage you to rewatch this act, knowing what you now know about where she's at by the end of it. People seem to be overlooking her scenes a LOT and don't catch her doubtful expressions, calculating eyes or they misinterpret (or don't look deeper into) her lines, like when talking to Maddie or Ambessa. You can see there's a lot of hesitation and thinking going on. She's definitely not redeemed, not by a long shot, by the end of Act 2. But the flip doesn't come out of nowhere. It's all there in her scenes from the start of ep 4.
Watching it back in the edit, I did notice more and more. That’s the issue with a first watch, I’m trying to entertain and give commentary which means I can miss things. But either way, we are starting to get our Cait back and that’s beautiful 😭🫶🏼

Don’t know how you picked up in these tiny details, make sense and keep up the larger plot, get involved emotionally, and entertain viewers all in a first time viewing! Arcane is such a dense show, I just keep track of the plot and immerse myself in the story. Details, cinematography, and parallels and stuff are for rewatches. The recording session for this would’ve fried my braincells if I was in your position 😭

A lot of people believe Jayce is the villain but he saw a different evil reality of the arcane. He sees a different visual of the people Victor “fixed”. (It’s shown if u pause it when he started getting hallucinations going up to victor) The people victor fixed aren’t even the same. They lack personality and who they were like Salo. The guy was so sassy and he was so not him when he was with Jayce. He wasn’t even breathing cold air like Jayce was cause he’s no longer human in that room.

1- isha screamed mama when she was being taken away by sevika to safety
2- isha can’t speak, so jinx won’t even be able to hear her voice in her head after her death
3- it was after vi held jinx back from saving isha that jinx finally understood why vi never wanted her to come save vander when they were teens
4- vi decided in that moment she would rather lose one sister than lose both sisters and despite barely being able to stand, she used all her energy to protect jinx
5- isha was the only one in a long time to love powder and jinx at the same time (yes even more than vi and silco who only wanted powder or jinx respectively) which is why jinx experienced a calmness in her head she hasnt in a long time
6- when jinx lit up the lighter in the cave to see what happened between vi and warwick, she was worried about vi, not vander, because she saw her let her guard down and trust her
7- also that scene shows that vi is also suicidal just like jinx as she was either ready to live knowing her dad is alive and her sis was telling the truth, or die with the betrayal

Act 2's Mel and Jayce B-plots seem likely to introduce other factions and characters that I can't see them properly exploring even if they used all of Act 3 to do it. I fear it's either going to be rushed and deus ex the plot or leave massive plot threads just dangling.
This season is still great so far and I still have faith in their plan for the story but some of the writing choices in Act 2 definitely make me wonder how the hell they're going to wrap it up.
However this ends, I want for the creators of this to create so much more.
It doesn't need to be more Arcane, or even in the LeagueOfLegends universe, but more from them - be it shorter animations, or feature length movies, or even full on series, but MORE!

This Act is the definition of pain, trauma, sadness... All the emotions are in this Act and I teared up which does not happen often.
I think you need to go revsit a lot of Caitlyn stuff here, its very easy to miss first time through.
Take the first scene with Maddie - Caitlyn shows her no affection whatsoever, and actively pulls away from her - especially when Maddie tries to kiss her. Its super clear its a rebound and she still loves Vi, its her version of coping compared to Vis fighting.
Throught the Act she tells Ambessa she doesn't trust her, but Ambessa keeps stoking the flames. Caitlyn's body language throughout makes it clear she is not onboard - theres a lot of heavy animation work that goes on to show it which you only notice second time through, as Caitlyn doesnt actually say that much, and what she does say is butting heads with Ambessa.
So once she meets Vi, its the final straw - building up to them getijng back together. Ambessa even says this outright, Caitlyn had to be kept away from Vi.
Two more things: the change in caitlyn the moment she reconnects to Vi is huge - esepcially in the eyes.
Second, caitlyn wipes Vi spits into her mouth like a freak.
Caitlyn did a lot of wrong, no doubt, but she was alwsys on the path back because thats who she is - hence trying to arrest Singed.
Vi was just the final thing she needed.
OH ALSO theres a theory that the hoodied figure with the staff back in s1 who saved jayce as a kid is future viktor in a time loop

And again, his stance shows off the leg brace that looks a suspiciously similar to Viktor’s old one. It’s also very fun to notice that it is NOT in Salo’s character to worship someone. He is the kind to live a comfortable and lavish life where people serve him…and yet after Viktor “healed” him, he’s changed. He worships Viktor and is no longer himself. (If you can’t tell, I’m completely on Jayce side 😅)

Your reactions to Cait's arc are valid, and it was a rollercoaster of a ride with her this season. I'd encourage you to rewatch this act, knowing what you now know about where she's at by the end of it. People seem to be overlooking her scenes a LOT and don't catch her doubtful expressions, calculating eyes or they misinterpret (or don't look deeper into) her lines, like when talking to Maddie or Ambessa. You can see there's a lot of hesitation and thinking going on. She's definitely not redeemed, not by a long shot, by the end of Act 2. But the flip doesn't come out of nowhere. It's all there in her scenes from the start of ep 4.
Watching it back in the edit, I did notice more and more. That’s the issue with a first watch, I’m trying to entertain and give commentary which means I can miss things. But either way, we are starting to get our Cait back and that’s beautiful 😭🫶🏼

The first to step forward to show a message of "Trust", almost placating. Idk how to explain it well, but I've definitely been there. It's not just plain fear on her part tho, she's cautious. Never underestimate Ambessa, of course.

Omg I've been dying to see LeBlanc and I'm so thoroughly impressed with their depiction, had my suspicions from the orange glow in Ambessa's eyes in the intro,thought it was gonna be a 'Ambessa never actually came to Piltover and it was always LeBlanc making a play for/to destroy hextech. Not mad about the way she appeared though, as they say, the Black Rose blooms once more ❤
