Very disappointed Arc Raiders switch to yet another fomo extraction shooter. Was really looking forward to learning more about it after the initial release teaser way back when.
I don't know why they changed from the original idea. Like the game looked 10 times better than this f extraction looter which I played on the first alpha test and sucked and look like ass. greedy for money that's pretty much it. We need more co-op pve games for real...

@@anthonyrazzano787Every single extraction shooter I can think of is some combination of beta/free to play/abandoned. We deserve AA/AAA public release extraction shooters. PLENTY of alternatives if you aren’t interested.
UE5 is pretty easy to work with. Good graphics are pretty much a baseline at this point and not as hard to get as in the past. So I'd say the chances of getting good gameplay again while having great graphics has risen quite a bit.
The whole extraction genre took a wrong turn, idk if its lack of creativity or i´m just almost alone with my ideal game in that genre. But Armas Exile mod still was the peak for me and no one tried to go that route. The extraction itself was my job and my favourite thing. I was the basebuilder ( our base we´d extract from and back to) and i was also the pilot. I took my crew to their jobs and missions with a helicopter or a plane if it was near water or near a possible landing strip. I´d have to guard the vehicles or hide them and when they are done i´d fly them back to our base where we could actually use the things we extracted to build our base better or upgrade. This is what the excatrion genre should aim for as the best game. Huge Arma like map if not bigger. So Arma/Tarkov/Rust mixed together.

I hope Mafia does a better job with their currency system. Mafia 3 had you earning money with almost nothing to spend it on. Not that anyone will be able to compete with GTA6 but people at least use to try, the 3rd person open world shooter genre is basically dead, WatchDogs stopped after Legion (worst of the series), Saints Row dead (worst of the series) and thats it... Guess you can toss Star Wars Outlaws in there but getting mid reviews.
"run, jump and slide in any direction" Didn't we already have a game like that a long time ago? What was it called? I totally remember playing it but can't remember the name. It was either an FPS or 3rdPS, but the mechanics were there. You could run and jump while aiming, hit the ground (still aiming), spin around in any direction without ever breaking your aim. I'm sure COD's version will be cleaner and better, but I KNOW this isn't a new mechanic in a shooter. No way.
Atomfall looks very intriguing with smart design choices. Some interesting features like leads instead of a quest system. The melee looks a little clunky but on the whole the game’s vibe would excuse some of the rough edges for me.
Check out "The Forever Winter" and get ready to pick your jaw up off the floor. Not to mention that their early access trailer is literally a declaration of war on AAA games industry bullshit.
It’s a shame for ARC Raiders, it would have been amazing to have the option for PvE coop or PvEvP extraction. The later will be ruined by bug abusive players who already have “1000+ hours game experience” in the first week or just exit campers.
Starship Troopers Frost Warrior design: Terrible 1st impression, they make me think of Pokemon. The ice on their carapace looks more like crystals or minerals. Recommendation: Make the ice look more natural and build it up over time naturally. Or remove the crystals or minerals like ice the thin ice hanging underneath the warrior seems fine. The fire warriors on Lava Planet were still OK although a bit cringy but this is terrible. Rant: -What in the hell is that -they look ridiculous -looks lazy/uncreative Awaiting more info about what they do for my final verdict.
Arc Raiders is total crap, any other alpha tester will tell you the same thing. They promise one thing and 2 years later an alpha which wasn't even close. And before you say its an alpha, its shockingly bad.

Not too excited about the Dune game. Didn't like the brutalist style in the new movies though so I'm not suprised. Frank Herbert wrote the early books in the 60s when sci-fi art was bubbly and colorful and the first movie from the 70s does the style justice just with terrible acting. The minimalist slop in the new movies is so boring and outplayed.
