Recently switched from sman manifold to joblink probes. Love it! Saves so much time on calls especially when charging a system don’t have to keep running in and out for temp split and pressures. Don’t have to carry my hoses over my shoulder they fit right in my Veto. Cut my call times down by like atleast a half hour per call. ❤
I have the UEI Hub 6 and added an OAT sensor to it. I love it and the price point was extremely competitive. I got it on sale too. I wish it was included to make it a Hub 7. Lol! The Hub 8 includes a micron gauge that I didn’t need at the time. The Hub 6 works very well but I do a lot of commercial and sometimes too far to read the indoor temp while at the CU.
Testo! I Don’t have the first gen, I believe it’s the 2nd Gen I own, the newer ones I’ll call those the 3rd gen longer range/ brighter LED are the new set out. Very accurate smart probes.
The wireless tools are nice if you have to upload photos of the readings. I have the Fieldpiece PRH2, and I'd suggest coughing up the extra bucks for the JL3RH. I pretty much use my Yellow Jacket manifold for everything else. I have a clamp for my meter for LLT. HI/LO LSAT VSAT, just in analog form. I sweep the refrigerant back into the system and charge according to SC or lineset depending on company ;) I prefer lineset tbh. I love the SMans but I prefer analogs, I still treat em like babies. Put em behind the front seat, change o rings on a regular basis. evacuate to like 20 mics etc... ah, nothing like the smell of acetalyne in the morning
I hope UEI and Refco lawyers don't come looking for me!🤣 From what I've seen, UEI is making better stuff now than they did in the 90s. Refco analogue gauges, manifolds, and refrigeration hand tools are 2nd to none, just never had a good experience with an electrical or electronic tool they make, including the ones they sent me to test in 2015 or so.
Thanks for this vid, I always wondered what the actual user experience was with all these different brands. I am definitely tempted by Fieldpiece, how is the user experience on job link vs the testo app vs measurequick? I heard that Testo doesn't update their app very frequently and Measurequick has gotten very predatory with their monetization, ie the whole charging for screenshots nonsense Service tech looking to get into wireless probes, but I only want to buy the best and not waste more money fiddling with second besters
Yeah, I un-installed Measurequick once they took away the ability to screen-shot. I do that on EVERY call I use my SMAN or Joblink probes on for future reference. I had essentially stopped using Measurequick once they went to the new interface that didn't go STRAIGHT to your gauges - I don't need all the back-end and business features they're trying to funnel you through. I NEED TO GET A/C's cooling, not do 'CREATE NEW SITE' or 'ADD SELECT EQUIPMENT' and all the other BS you have to go through to be able to see your pressures and temperatures....which is a shame, because I wanted to use Jim Bergman's newer features that utilized approach and some other methods that don't involve hooking up pressure probes on Maintenances and quick checks.

I went testo because i can compile all my reading into one report all within the app along with a ton of readings can be saved for later review.

I've been using your shoptalk code frequently. I appreciate it. I really want to the UEI psychromters if they work with measure quick.
I think they do, but check TTT’s works with MeasureQuick page

Fieldpiece has the most features in a reasonable price range
