The efficiency of the motor prop combo I'm using is better at 3s. Also using a 3s Li-ion I can safely fly thru the voltage range of my pack and the plane will not fuss about the lower voltage. 12.6v till 7.5v. Flight time is insane and at a much higher speed compared to a 2s li-ion. Higher speed means more overall distance that can be traveled. Alot of benefits using higher voltage.
Seems like you've picked the wrong platform for what you are trying to do with it .. this is a glider that needs to stay light for good performance.. not really a cruise plane by any means.. mini talon would be perfect for your flying style i would think
I disagree. But we all have our opinions. But this frame has proven to fit multiple purposes for its users. It's been out since 2020, and I have seen some built to fly fast and acrobatic. Some use to soar. Some use for long range cruising. And none of them had issues.... 👀 The mini talon is old news, but still one of my favorites. But with today's technology... There's no need for big planes like that anymore... Welcome to 2023 My Friend 😎😂
@@JD_1 it really depends on what you are after .. with a camera platform like this you would benefit from something stable that can fly for long time. Perhaps the nano talon if you wanted to stay smaller on the fuselage.. it will fly for 2h easily and is decently stable in lower winds ..
@Matěj Bludský lol. Man, you must just want to talk to someone huh 🤔😂 I have all the talons sir. Mini Nano 250g 😂 The Drift is a very stable platform that can fly for a very long time. See some of my older videos back from 2020 with the Original Drift. And stay tuned 😉 You will be witnessing some Awesomeness coming soon out of this frame.
That's so nose heavy wrote surprised it can fly. But hey iput landing gear on mine the t1 ranger landing gear is perfect for for this. My breeze comes in 2 days can't wait
@@JD_1 that's cool. I really meant is looks so nose heavy. But i had a similar one of those on the nose of a dart.. My breeze shows up tomorrow i can't wait... on gonna do it up different than my o.g drift.
Thank you for this, i just built one with Walksnail and comes in at 430g and i was worried that it was too much, thanks for the weigh in
@WindjumbieFPV Your welcome
Super intricate I love the attention to detail on this build man
Thanks 😊
Looks good! Very clean setup.
Thank you 😊
Nice build, great flight.
Thanks 👍
looking good man think i am going to get one
Awesome! You will not regret it.
Reading these comments, tell me that some people in the comments did not watch the whole video. 😂
Its cool though!😊
Thank you!
Nice job ! What’s fly time you get with ?
Over a hour easily now since I upgraded the motor.
Is there a dji rc like radio for this plane?
That I do not know. But anything is possible in this hobby.
Great job fitting everything. I've got something similar with Caddx Polar. I'm using 2s 3500 mAhr Lion. Just curious why you chose a 3s.

@@JD_1 Thanks. Yes, I find the 2s adequate but lame compared to 3s. I'll build a 3s Lion using your clever layout.
@@raptr49 Awesome! I'm glad I could inspire you 😌
You will have to cut and shave out some foam. Not much.
Got the drift in today, how did you overcome the sloppy connection of the trailing edge of the wings? Mine have a lot of wiggle
Sloppy connection 🙄
I'm not having that issue. Do you have the screw inserted and tighten on the wings?
Just found your page brother
Welcome
Might be overkill, but it looks good. :)
Thank You Sir!

My drift is both a long range, a cruiser and acrobatic,
Seems like you literally have zero imagination brother! 😂

Not nose heavy at all. Cg is still easily achievable. See other videos of it on the cg stand.
