It’s true that exercise and giving a puppy that outlet for energy helps with biting.

I have no idea whether I am and how to be a good leader/guidance/authority to my puppy right now. My puppy is my first dog, and he happens to be a stubborn mini dachshund lol

I'm curious as to how this is working for you . I have a biter . the puppy school I am going to recommend ignoring him. But it isn't working he just bites harder and it's making me miserable. He is a little sweetheart when he wants to be.
I'm hoping to implement this as it is not getting any better.

@@thesculptressofsugar5831 it’s gotten better to an extent but everything must be reinforced. Make it a habit that way the puppy won’t grow out of routine.

Did you find a way to stop your puppy from biting ? I have a 3 month old dachshund and he is biting very hard :( I don’t know what to do he doesn’t stop !

@@Anonymous-um3im I have slowly started holding her and talking calmly to her. Petting her slow and soft. Telling her to calm down and no biting, or I use one of her toys to distract her from biting me. She I now 6 months old and she occasionally still bites bit not very hard or long. I also found some natural treats made in my area by a local dog lover that help calm the puppy

First time Dachsie owner. Our puppy Baloo, is about to be 4mo’s, and is biting A LOT! he starts out sweet, and then goes aggressive. I owned a Rotty and he didn’t but this much. I’ve noticed he starts going for the hands when he wants to play. We exercise him, just not as much. Gonna keep that in mind.

We just got my mother a 'miniature' dachshund for Christmas this past year. Idk how accurate the whole 'miniature' thing is in the dog world, but don't really care as we love the dog. He is still very small and quite a little biter. His tiny teeth are pretty sharp, and sometimes when he gets the zoomies or is playing pretty rough with a toy, he may try and bite me rather hard as if I am the same as his toy. When he does this I tell him "No", in a sharp, medium tone, and it does break his attention away like you were describing. I don't discourage him from doing the gentle nibbles as I think that is fine. Anyway, I was wondering if what I am doing is correct so thanks for the information.

Hello I have a 3 month old dachshund puppy that like to bite a lot. Something when I try to pet him or when he’s very hyped up he likes to bite. Not sure if he is showing aggressive behavior ? Or is this normal ? Could I possibly send you a video. He has made me and my family members hands bleed a lot :(

Hi, I am getting a dachshund puppy in a couple of weeks. In your video you state that you should be cautious with the amount of exercise they should get. What would you recommend is a good amount of exercise for a dachshund puppy and then a fully grown dachshund?
Love your videos by the way!

My dachshunds get super anxious every time we’re going on a walk or when my wife leaves EVERY morning to drop off my 2 year old daughter. And the rest of the day he’s completely ok (unless another dog comes through)…
The worst thing is after he’s groomed he bites at his hind legs… For around 6-12 hours. And he doesn’t stop barking and grunting the entire time!!!
Cbd hasn’t helped. Could really need help ! Btw he’s only 3 years old and isn’t neutered.

Hey Dave, thanks for watching! We've got a couple of different videos looking at separation anxiety you might find helpful here's our most recent one: ruclips.net/video/W7T94AQjAkM/видео.html. With the problems after grooming, it might be worth checking to see they might be allergic to products that are being used. Hope that's a little helpful!
