Change WiFi password and setup Mac address blocking to whitelist your devices and blacklist everything else.

Is ‘Remove Device,’ the same as Block?! Because there is not a block option only screen anywhere.
Hello! Are you a Premium user? The block feature is available only for Premium subscribers, and you can find it in the device detail tab.

The pausing of wifi does not work despite disabling ipv6.

Hi! If you block a device from your home network, they will simply see that they are offline, there will be no notification sent that they are being blocked by Fing.

@@cherryblossom8651 Removing a device from your network does not block the device from connecting to your network, it simply removes it from your list of devices. To block internet access for a certain device, you must use the "Block" feature :)

I've just purchased the premium version of fing, but even so, when I block a device it remains connected to the network.
What are you trying to accomplish ? Stop the device from accessing the internet while it's still on the LAN , or kick it off the Lan completely ?

Block and Pause is not working even on a Premium account. All "paused" or "blocked" devices continues having internet access. (ex: on youtube they keep running videos till the end even if the video last several minutes)

Im having the exact same issue although I was charged twice I cant use any premium feature. I wish I had read these comments before.

Hi there! Are you looking from the mobile app? Generic refers to a device of which we don't have enough data. Unfortunately, due to the recent regulations, it has become more difficult to scan with MAC addresses. However, you can install Fing on your Desktop for a more complete an detailed scan.

Hi, the block and pause features are available only for home networks. If a person has a certain network set to "Home Network", they can block and limit internet access of a certain device.
Vlan your network or enable Guest WiFi and if there is an option to isolate the guest, enable it. Then setup Mac address blocking and white list your devices to your Lan.

I was considering buying the premium version, but won't now as it seems everyone who has purchased it is not able to do anything more with the app than you can with the free version. You cannot block or pause anything. It seems to be a rather useless app.
