Could you imagine if they made a show like this with these kind of visuals. Kid get born, his dad dies while monster hunting and is inspired to become a monster hunter and we follow him through his journey. Or at least something like. Id watch
Absolutely. I mean, World tried really hard with the story but it's kind of convoluted and awkward at times. 4U just was clean and enjoyable and nice, from start to finish.
@@darthplagueis13 Yeah! Such as the ACE hunters..again, WE weren't the top badass hunter from start. The ace hunters were running around doing their jobs trying to subdue the virus and find the caused rumor of it. It felt natural on the tiiny short escort/but really actually beat up gore to save the injured Ace Lancer. How their commander had a backstory and we got to see HIS sensei. I still feel in awe when in the old retired hunters presence when he comes in to make a dragonator trap.
This was my first ever monster hunter. I fondly remember playing this almost every night with my best friend, such good times. The story was really good as well. But my all time favorite part of this game, is the music. I still listen to the soundtrack sometimes, and it hits me with a quite nostalgic feeling. I started playing it last month again, and it still feels just as good as 5 years ago. Here's to 100 more years of Monster Hunter!
MH4U has gotta be my favorite game to this day, maybe its just nostalgia but it's the first monster hunter game I actually got good at and reached G rank (and high rank), it was great because at was quite simple at the beginning allowing new players to grasp the ropes but it scaled so much and became so much harder and funner later on..... I still wish I had a 3ds so i could play that game again sometimes.
I've put over 680 hours into this game. I've made thousands of memories, hunted many monsters, and overcame obstacles I never thought I could... it was all so long ago, I'd say out of all the games the ones I feel most nostalgia for is this one and 3U, I spent so much time with these games, and I hope someday we can get another classic mainline MH game. Also can we all acknowledge that 3 Tri on the wii will be a decade old on 4/20 this year? Crazy to think I've been with this series for almost a decade.
My favorite memory was being introduced to this game with my friends, then having 4 man hunts after classes every day. Although charge blade did seem like the only weapon
My favorite memory of this game was playing online because I came from 3 ultimate on the 3ds which didn’t have online. I had so much fun playing with random people and talking to them for hours. Favorite monster hunter game.
The raging brachydios (always called it the nuclear brachydios) was easily my favorite fight in any of the games. So glad to see it coming back to world.
You see, movie studios? THIS is how you do a Monster Hunter movie. Characters in brightly coloured outfits, insane action, awesome looking monsters, and NO US MILITARY. You got one out of four right and even then the monsters still weren't perfect (I will admit that the action did get close to classic Monster Hunter-y near the end but by then it was more jarring compared to how the movie was before (it went from being a semi-realistic military action movie to a live-action anime)). Also, no world-ending plot. The Monster Hunters are simple guys and gals who hunt monsters because its their job. That's it. Not every story needs to have exhaustingly super high stakes. Stories are allowed to be fun.
My favorite memory is probably meeting random people online that I would end up hunting with regularly and just hanging out with them. 4U was what introduced me to monhun and I'm really glad I randomly decided to buy that used copy from gamestop all those years ago...
Capcom. You're messing with my feelings. I watched this trailer and just couldnt stop thinking of a switch port. As much as I love Tri, I would love to get back to 4 again. Such a great game.
The amazing monsters, the diverse areas with verticality and and mounting. And amazing memories I'll never foeget. It may have not been my first MH game, but it still felt like an entirely new experience
So that means I have been playing monster hunter for 7 years since I got monster hunter 3 ultimate 2 years before this game came out. So basically since I was 10.
Favorite Memory? My friend and I duoing Sha Dalamadur, hands down. It took us days of attempts but when we pulled it off, it was so satisfying, and it was also the final hunt we ever did in the game, hell of a way to end our journey.
This just reinforces my desire for a longer format, more survival/preparation oriented Monster Hunter game. Setting up camp, cooking, laying traps well in advance. Actually being able to use the environment to its fullest. Thats my dream for this series.
holden c well monster hunter isn’t like you want it to be for a reason, the reason being it would be too realistic like life and life is kinda boring so jokes on you
@@Wakari_ few things... 1 you're the only joke here. 2 the developers have always aspired to make more open world environments with more realistic interaction between the creatures in it. Openly stating that World is as close to their original vision as they have ever been. 3 survival games exist and are a popular genre, which share a number of gameplay mechanics and themes with monster hunter.
My favorite memory of MH4U is the end game farning Guild Quests and relics rewards. Man, I played that a lot, made 10 full rare 10 relic armors and still had a lot of things to farm. For me, that was the best end game method ever.
My favorite memory I’ve had with this game was after a year ago, I came back when I recently discovered that I love Biology and then, the world just opened up to me, every Monster has something unique about them that allows them to survive in this world and it’s so fascinating. I started killing almost every monster at that point, wanting to learn more about the monsters in This world. I remember when I would buy the monster notes of every monster and read about them when I’m waiting for a squad to come back or just waiting for people to join, literally the favorite thing I did in that game. I defeated Shagaru Magala, mastered the Charge Blade (which I still use as my main in Iceborne), went into G Rank where my skills would be tested and I made a build that I am proud to own in 4U, Silver Rathalos is my number 1 favorite monster because of this game, every fight I had with it is never a dull moment and it really makes me feel proud when I bring it down after going through the fire and the flames.
Where do I even begin for my favorite moment... A friend and me were hunting Furious Rajang. Rajang wasn't in rage-mode, apex or anything, just it's regular state. It literally does it's little backhop and my friend screams on discord because that had triggered his felyne moxie. I needed a Rathalos mantle - before I finally got my mantle I had recieved 54 Rathalos gems and my friend had gotten 5 Rathalos Mantles. Finally getting my relic GS and completing the last bit I needed to create my GS-set. Every french player going "Je Suis Monte". Just the amazing story overall. All of the stupid custom emotes that people created for when they got pinned/stunned etc. Saw the glorious combo of "Please be gentle" followed by "NOT THE BUTT!!" The amazing sense of accomplishment upon completing the master's challenge quest. Pick one.
....Why? Not that I’m complaining, this is my favorite of the two 4U ones..... Wait a minute IS SEREGIOS CONFIRMED FOR WORLD?! _Edit:_ *reads description* WHOA! That’s amazing!
My favourite memory of #MH4U ? My first time playing. I met this awesome guy who was also just starting out, and we hunted together the entire day. I’m great friends with him now, and we’re working through iceborne!
And with this trailer the nostalgia is driving me into a frenzy!, defo one of the best games of the last decade imho. Now que all the theories/speculation of those who've read too much into this trailer lol!.
My favourite memory of this game was the in-depth evolution they started to apply with power struggles in nature with gore magala, carapaceans, and more that brought out what it meant to be a monster
Man, I always loved seeing the 4 person teams in all CG trailers. Kinda miss that from World. Also I’d totally watch a series that has every single team from each CG opening working together as one giant guild
I still remember getting into the series with 3 Ultimate. Made it to g rank only for my save data to get corrupted. Hundreds of hours lost. Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate's release was only a couple of months away after this happened so I patiently waited for that to come out and continued loving the series as well as quickly fixing my Monster Hunter withdrawl.
Successfully fishing up Zamtrios gotta be my most satisfactory moment, I spent way too much time on that little gimmick. However soloing the G-rank quest is next to nothing in self completion.
Gogmazios is till my favorite siege monster to this day. I played 4 u with friends and I remember that one of the gasped so loud that I though the monster was next to me lol. Seeing that huge of a monster in front of you is one of the most badass and threatening things you have ever seen

Too many favourite moments from that game. Facing Shagaru for the first time, entering Dundorma's assembly and listening to the Diva, finally building the legendary Star Knight armor... Just so many!
And I still play this game as often as before 5years later..❤❤❤
Could you imagine if they made a show like this with these kind of visuals. Kid get born, his dad dies while monster hunting and is inspired to become a monster hunter and we follow him through his journey. Or at least something like. Id watch

I could literally watch this all day and not be bored
The fact that I still play this game to this day shows how good of a game it is.
Or how bad of a hunter I am because I haven't finished it at all xD
Nah, I had to restart because of my 3ds, and it's just a slogfest of quest of key quest to get to anything
I still feel like its new
Nah.. I accidentally deleted my MH4U save file.. Restart with new game and it doesn't feel right..
I was so hype for 4U man. Picked it up day one and never looked at another game for a while. Good memories
I still say 4 Ultimate had the best story even to this day.
It had the best characters with the Caravan.
For sure, I love seeing the characters in GenU and doing any and all quests they give me
Exactly! I looved the story, even side characters like the ACE hunters I loved!
ほんと細かい所まで作られてて小説版思い出したわ。
Cheers to all hunters who still play mh4u!
The best Monster hunter
Lmao stfu thats MHFU, dumb MH4U newcomers, thinking they have something to say without even playing the older ones.
Plz like a fuck ton of more monsters

This was 5 years ago?! Its felt like it was only 2
Which is even funnier because MHW came out 2 years ago 😂
Good old Days

Seregios, Gore Magala, and Dah’ren Mohren were, and still are, my favorite monsters of all time. I hope they get more love in the future as well!
I clicked this fast af!!! Boi you dont know how much I love this G A M E!!!! Put on switch e-shop please!!! 😭😭😭😭
Oof this would be amazing I would eat my switch dude
Haven't seen ol Steve in the longest of times. I gotta replay this masterpiece
My favorite memory was being introduced to this game with my friends, then having 4 man hunts after classes every day. Although charge blade did seem like the only weapon
CB and IG were just so damn good
My favorite memory of this game was playing online because I came from 3 ultimate on the 3ds which didn’t have online. I had so much fun playing with random people and talking to them for hours. Favorite monster hunter game.
The raging brachydios (always called it the nuclear brachydios) was easily my favorite fight in any of the games. So glad to see it coming back to world.
I think it was called critical brachydios in Japan so you're not far off lol.
And his new moves will make him so much better in World than in 4u, can't wait.
Is this like a clue to the “fan favorite monster” they are gonna add 🤔🤔🤔
Indeed, I suspect it was to tease an iconic and unforgettable monster that will no doubt bring in equal amounts of hype as well as rage;
Cephadrome!.
Lynx Fresh if that were to happen, I would honestly have to delete the game 😂😂😂
Nah it's just the 5 year anniversary. I doubt anything will come from it

@@BragoTHEgraviyKING You never know.
My first monster hunter game will always hold a special place in my heart
1:19 That dude is totally checking out her cheeks
Yes! This!
That would be kinda boring ngl
@@Wakari_ then dont play it. Problem fixed.
holden c well monster hunter isn’t like you want it to be for a reason, the reason being it would be too realistic like life and life is kinda boring so jokes on you
@@Wakari_ few things...
It would be awesome if the ingame graphics run like this
Where do I even begin for my favorite moment...
Saw the glorious combo of "Please be gentle" followed by "NOT THE BUTT!!"
The amazing sense of accomplishment upon completing the master's challenge quest.
Pick one.
Monster Hunter 4 ultimate was my first Monster Hunter game and I love it!
チャアクの兄ちゃん、初々しい感じで可愛いよな、なんか。
双剣使いのお姉様にリードされてる感がいいw
This was my first MH game and what a great game it is.Sometimes I still play it.Ohhh all the wonderful memories.
....Why? Not that I’m complaining, this is my favorite of the two 4U ones.....
Wait a minute
IS SEREGIOS CONFIRMED FOR WORLD?!
_Edit:_ *reads description* WHOA! That’s amazing!
Its not right
imightexist13 no, he’s not confirmed, but if you read the description, today is the day with 4U came out.
@@crowngamer901 oh yeah i saw
That was my first thought too
i honestly hope not, Gore magala or Valphalk would be much better
My favourite memory of #MH4U ? My first time playing. I met this awesome guy who was also just starting out, and we hunted together the entire day. I’m great friends with him now, and we’re working through iceborne!
Funny how started playing it again something called me back this might be one of those things
I love seeing all the different hunters styles with these cinematics
And with this trailer the nostalgia is driving me into a frenzy!, defo one of the best games of the last decade imho.
Now que all the theories/speculation of those who've read too much into this trailer lol!.
A "frenzy", hm? XD
But seriously, kinda hard to believe this game is 5 years old...
It's not a trailer though? It's the opening cutscene for 4U since it's the 5th anniversary
Here I am, just bought this back in July 2019 with 3U and Gen lol
Lynx Fresh I don’t see y this wouldn’t allude to something bigger
@@crowngamer901 uhhhhh I bought them on sale too, I need to buy myself another DS I own 4u digitally D: Seltas + Seltas Queen I miss you!!!!
懐かしいなぁ.....
よく小学生の頃友達とやってた😭
Omg seeing the hunters use the items we use in a hunt but in high graphics detail is so damn cool!!
Everything except apex was my favorite part.
Btw this is suspicious, MH4U for Switch?
Steve for Iceborne?
I'm so excited now
When mh4u realases for switch I cry the whole day dude
i bet steve for iceborne
Apex was incredibly stupid and a lazy to way to artificially increase difficulty.
MHGU does the end game much better, with hyper monsters.
@@cartoonvideos5 Apex is completely fine, its WYSTONES THAT SUCKED.
The Funk lmao hyper monsters are literally the exact same thing as frenzied monsters.
Mh4u was one of the best mh games I’ve played, because of the content and sheer growth the game showed at the time
My heart skipped a beat I thought they ported my favorite MH game 😭😭😭
God, to think with world, monster hunter actually looks and plays like this now, it’s unreal
