Maera was a previous private student of mine, and she joined my course New Sound, where she practiced the foundations of pronunciation and accent.
In this coaching session, you’ll get the chance to see how I work with my students and give them feedback that allows them to express themselves through their voice even more in English!

Thank you! It’s so helpful and inspiring to watch your session. Maera is doing great and you’re an amazing teacher ❤❤
Hadar, the more I watch your videos, the more I get inspired to know that it's possible to master "an American accent". And again just like you've said in previous videos, there's nothing wrong with having an accent as long as it doesn't compromise comprehension, but it's amazing for accent reduction lovers like me, to hear you and all of your tips. I hope one day I can achieve your level of fluency and perfection in accent. Thank you so much for your videos. Hughs from Monterrey, Mexico.
Came from Liza and Kevin’s video. You teach wrong English? 😂
Hey dear, leave the venom on the other channel, please. You’re invited to stay if you’re interested in learning with me ❤️
@@hadar.shemesh you're an amazing teacher 😊😊👍👍 keep up the good work.
Actually, after discovering your channel, I started to believe that I can improve my accent. I had given up many years ago and haven't done anything about it. Now, when I need to speak and create content, I realize that I need to take action; otherwise, I'll keep self-sabotaging and making excuses not to do so. Thanks to you, I am now practicing every day and seeing massive improvement! 😉
Dear Hadar! It's just a masterpiece! I'm so amazed by you, your work, your ability to hear a sound and know exactly what to do and moreover to explain it in a perfectly understandable way!!! You are my role model in so many aspects and I admire you so much!!! Maera already has such a fantastic pronunciation, but, of course, such a pronunciation lover as I am, I understand the desire get better and also the need of it for her career! And, Maera, I'm so happy I could watch this video and the first part too, because you are another example for me that it is possible to have a huge change in your pronunciation even when you are an adult! Thank you so much, Hadar, for this incredible and valuable video! I learned a lot from it!!!
Great vid. How old was Maera when she migrated to the U.S? And how old were you Hadar when you migrated to the U.S? You guys sound like two native English speakers chatting.
We were both in our 20’s
Such a beautiful work here of Hadar being in the zone and Maera doing her best! I really liked this coaching session and was practicing together all along 😊
Thank you so much Sergey ❤️
Exellent channel Exellent lessons Exellent teacher is you teacher hadar thank you for you exist in world information
I believe you made a mistake. I'm a teacher and I'm pretty sure the correct way to say what you said is: to prevent her from and not what you said: to prevent from her.
You’re absolutely right. That’s indeed the correct form, and I know it:) it just didn’t come out of my mouth in this natural conversation for some reason. Probably I was thinking of something else. It happens.
But I’m happy this gives you all a good reason to point out my mistakes👍 whatever brings you joy😉
you think pointing out a mistake made by an English tutor brings her/his joy?
Great conversation. Lots of insights as always from Hadar!
This was really insightful! As I have no coach, I'm trying to become one for myself. I do occasionally film myself speaking and then analyze which sounds cause most tension and resistance in me. This session with Maera really demonstrates how to target and approach different aspects of speech. Thank you so much, Hadar and Maera ❤This channel is an invaluable source of useful information.
I think this is such a wise strategy! And thanks for your kind words 🙏🏽
I love that teacher, she's so amazing teaching
I love love love it! You are brilliant Haddar. Amé la naturalidad y lo divertida y ultiles q son tus videos. ❤❤❤❤
The goal shouldn't be to have an American accent or a British accent or a Canadian accent. What's important is to put stress on the right syllable and having a correct pronunciation.
I see your point, but the goal should be whatever the person decides their goal should be.
I am sorry for what I am gonna tell you guys but the most important thing is placement.
It really depends on the person and their speech. Placement is not the most important thing is the person substitutes consonants, eliminates sounds, or disconnected thought group. The most important thing is to identify what the person needs correctly :)
I agree that clarity is more important than having the right accent (especially since there’s no one accent). But in Maera’s case - she’s an actress playing American roles and that’s critical for her career.
U cant act in a sothern movie with a cockney accent...i just hate british accent so i will never practice that way of mincing words
I can totally relate to the first 7 minute of this video. That is my biggest problem. Thank you for this video..
Most amazing channel, Hadar! I am so happy that I found You. You explain things in the most understandable way. I already have listened to a few videos and fell in love with your teaching. Please continue that, we need it so much. ❤️❤️❤️🌷🌷
12:57 SNEAK - I think Maera needs to focus on that EA part. It's not as projecting as Hadar's is.
You are very intelligent ma'am. Lots of love and respect from Pakistan. I have learnt a lots of things from you 🌺🥀🌹Thanks
This class was amazing, thank you so much for helping us
Bob Dylan has a nasal voice !! but I love his song " End of the line"
Omg, that was amazing 😍 We want more.
My " a sounds like e" please let me know how to change it!
This was so interesting!
You're the best
Continue your good job ever big woman
I loved this training session !! Amazing exercises to do every single day! 🙏🏻 thank you Hadar and Maera!❤
There is something very interesting: if we don't know a language and someone speaks that language with accent, we will understand. For example i don't know Italian and Korean but when an Italian speaks Korean, i know he isn't Korean.
In reality English is sooo complicated to grasp. Some people get it quickly, others, like myself with decades in the US, never get it completely.
So hard to follow this pronunciation practice to me, but Maera did and amazing job. Hadar, awesome video. Thanks for sharing!
Hello, Hadar, i love your teaching and I have been following your lessons frequently,
You're mentored most of non native English speakers
Great English lesson.
Thank you so much.
Have a good evening 👍
WOW. it is an amazing video. Thank you. I loved it.
Dear Hadar, what's your native language?
I really appreciate this lesson , very interresting thanks
A real privilege to take personal classes with Hadar!
accent coaching very helpful video, i learned a lot from here. Looking forward to the next videos
Thank you!
This is amazing!!! Awesome advices. Where can I find more videos focus on couching someone on his/her pronunciation. I know there are some in RUclips, but are very general, there aren't not focus in the pronunciation. Thank you in advance.
Awesome advice (advice is uncountable)
Thoroughly enjoyed watching it. Really surprised you didn't mention how she falls into vocal fry at the end of her sentences, which is actually what causes her to sound lazy, in my opinion, and leads her to swallow the content words.
I addressed it differently:) without labeling it as vocal fry and creating a stigma around it. Vocal fry happens when we use pitch that is much lower than our optimum pitch level. Helping her find her optimum pitch level is another way to solve the challenge. I’m glad you enjoyed it! :)
wow this was a video i needed to see. I have the same problem. I tend to speak with my chest a lot in order to sound deeper as a guy but all it does is make me sound unconfident and have to repeat myself a lot. I'mglad that i now know how to fix it. Thanks for this video
Glad it was helpful!
She has a good hearing!
Weldon ma. Keep up the good work!
LIKE!
I'm writing it here since you have a perfect like score of 333 on this video now, hate ruining it :)
Great session, enjoyed your video a lot! Good luck to you and Maera!
Now 361 so no reason not to add my like :)
Hahahaha I appreciate it 😂🙏🏽
She is so beautiful
