hello Hada. I am very grateful for your classes. Today you made me reflect on a fact. You said that making mistakes is the best way to learn. So I imagined my ideal English class. One in which mistakes are applauded, and motivate to commit them. I believe that the audience of a teacher who motivates to make mistakes would be much larger than others whose classes are based on: *Do not make these mistakes in English. *If you want to sound like a native do this. *These are the words you probably mispronounce. *Don't say very instead say.... And I know that the intention is not bad, but despite being adults, it is intimidating to make mistakes, to be mocked and in the end the goal of learning English is taking steps back. Babies, when they mispronounce a word, we applaud them, we want to hug them, just for the intent to do so, and that makes them learn more. Thank you for highlighting the importance and for motivating me to make mistakes!!!!!!
There is a usefull technique that can help you pronouce every word that you see, even if it's a new word. With this technique, you don't have to spend lots of time and effort to acquire a good pronunciation or accent. You just pay a little bit attention in each word that you encounter. 😃 Here it is! 1. most likely all the NOUNS with two syllables, we stress at the first syllable. Three-four syllables, we stress at the third syllable. 2. most likely all the VERBS with two syllables, we stress at the second syllable. Good luck everyone. Thank you Hadar. I love all your videos and I am your fan.
You know Hadar ... you're a genius... really a genius!!! That's the reason you uncovered for us, the road for learning English!!! Your little princesses will inherited that from you!
I'm an Israeli teaching public speaking skills in Luxembourg (Europe) in English too. So I often explain prosody (in sentences). Yet, this still blew my mind. Very Interesting. Language is insanely complex. Thanks Hadar. Kol Tov.
Complex and intuitive! We often feel things that we can’t put in words. So it’s always fine to find words to explain these things - which is something you do too! Thanks for sharing 🙏🏽🙌
I love this content. I am an ESL teacher. Thank you for sharing your knowledge and for this detailed explanation. This is so helpful. Sharing love from the Philippines. 💕
This beautiful teacher is teaching better than some other teachers here on RUclips who has over 1m or even higher I see it unfair she deserves supporters I've watched other's videos and I noticed this point To me you're one of the best teachers I've watched her videos I really admire your way of teaching ...thank you so much for being so nice
Dear Hadar, It's very nice to meet you here! I've watched the Amercan Accent lesson with Jennifer Forrest. You can address me, CJ Song. I'm from South Korea. Thanks a million for the Rhythm of English Words. You rock. I'm absolutely sure that I'm becoming a confident, fluent, and natural English speaker thanks to you. Hope you have a great one.
Although I am a native speaker of English, I found this instruction very useful. I am new to studying Voiceover work and it gave clarity to how to say words without over pronouncing or under pronouncing. Thank you!
Hi Hadar you know what? When I explain to someone which is my worst part in English I always say "the melody" and "pronunciation " that English speakers use. Now I know that what I need is to "pronounce" properly but also the "rhythm" that maybe it is the same as "melody" but it sounds more specific both are very important 👍 thank you very much
Hey Hadar, you’re amazing! So smart. You really know how to explain the trick things of the English language. Many thanks for helping students all over the world! We need good energy in this crazy time of our lives. You make me feel special. Have a wonderful weekend!
Dear Hadar, can you gently help me to find a tutor as good as you are to explain complicated thing so easy? Your way of teaching is much better than every native speaker has, really. I feel I would emprove my level of English quickly with you. Thanks
Amazing explanation. I was very curious about the rhythm and intonation in English. I've been noticing this rhythm but I've never understood the real method cause always seems to me that the rhythm was in the sentence but as you explained the rhythm is within each word.
This week I was talking to myself "I definitely have to practice the rhythm of English, but how do I do it? How should I start it?" And then Hadar comes up with this amazing lesson 😅
Tus explicaciones son verdaderamente notables. Eres una indiscutible Number One. Muchas Gracias por tus inigualables videos. Todavía no se el suficiente ingles para poder escribirte en ingles, pero, supongo que en el futuro lo hare. Hasta entonces.
Hey Hadar it's Giulia from Italy! I'm studying Languages at University and I already completed my English exams also thanks to your lessons that helped me to overcome them! Keep teaching like this! Mazal tov and Toda for your lessons!
10:15 So we feel how the language likes to be spoken. That’s brilliant Hadar. You combine the best aspects of a teacher and a coach. I often struggle with the transition from one specific sound to another. Take something simple like “with the”. I’m well aware of the different pronunciation of the “th” in “with” and “the”. But I stumble upon the combination of the two of them with my tongue. And this goes on with other sound combinations like in “as well” “that thing” “of the” etc. Best whish so from Germany.
Hi, Hadar! It makes full sense. I'm working exactly on this, and I'm still struggling, even though I feel my improvements. The process is enjoyable. Thanks for your amazing energy in bringing this subject. See ya!
If I can achieve the next step I'm sure it will be using the correct Rhythm while speaking. Knowing that it is very difficult for me. Thank you again ❤
One of the most powerful pedagogical examples. It becomes clarify and more of a mentor or coach helping students achieve the learning goal. Hadar, your video was epic as ever....Thank you very much .. So helpful ....from BR, Belo Horizonte...April 10, 2021...
I enjoy your videos, I am a little all around. Practice vowels, consonants I understand your videos, you are really good teacher. I try your spring videos too. I am not able to commit with courses, but want to improve my English. I wondering which order I should follow, should I master first vowels and consonants pronunciation and then go to other level, but I feel I want to to watch all about english! Thank you lots for making this videos, means lot for me and I thing for others. 😊🤗
Hi Hadar, first of all I want to say thanks to you for you help, Ivreally appreciate your dedication and presition! Speking about this lesson is there a way to know grammatically when do we have to stress words and when not to si it? Thanks in advance!!!❤❤❤ love your lessons
Hello Hadar!! This is so helpful and thank you very much 🙏 but could you put Arabic language caption so we can understand the explanation 100%. God bless you ^^
Excellent video!! Since you’re an expert in English pronunciation, I want to ask you about one important myth... when you articulate any sounds in English or any other languages, how and where your airflow goes? For example, when you pronounce “th” sound, you need to let the airflow through between your teeth and tongue. But I need to make sure that I have to “create” the airflow a little stronger to articulate the sound because I feel that airflow goes to my nose all the time when I speak any languages. And I’m wondering wrong airflow makes my pronunciation a little compressed and weird... I know this is a little complicated question but hope you know the answer!
Great examples and good explanation :) I also recommend watching Tom Scott's video "Why Shakespeare Could Never Have Been French", more entertaining approach but exCEPtionally good.
Even as a native English speaker, I find this very useful and illuminating.
