General Motors Facing Disaster As Dealer Lots Fill Up

- In this video we are at a Chevy dealership and the prices are crazy. General Motors is going to be struggling because they have all these vehicles that are just sitting the only way to sell them is by increasing rebates dramatically. These dealers are screwed
Greed. Let it rod.
Problem is active fuel management and dynamic fuel management are a scam. They are just a money grab the companies get from the government. I tested it on my 18 Silverado 5.3. I would do the same route of 400 mile round trip. I tested just afm enabled and got right at 20mpg. Then with a max mpg tune and got 21mpg. With a max hp tune and afm disabled I got 23mpg. Gm has ruined the reputation of LS/LT engines with this garbage.
How did you go about tuning it out? I'm about to get a '16 silverado and I definitely want to tune out afm. Was looking at hp tuners dongle and software but curious what you went with to do it? Thanks
i remember when they tried that shutting down cylinders in the 80's. yeah it went just like you'd think!
Say it louder! My dodge with the 5.7 is the same shit. With AFM on you get 20mpg with it off you get 22 mpg. Just ridiculous
You voted for it
@MrPland1992 You know who he voted for? Weird....But if I had to guess judging by his comment that he voted for the right party if I had to bet
GM had a bullet proof 3800 V6 at one time. These 4 cyl turbos make me sad.
Yes. Had a 88 Olds multi port 3.8 that was very impressive.
60k EV covered in dirt and obviously not cared for? No thanks.
Seen a mach-e at my local ford dealer. It had some type of black mold or algae on the hood 😂😂😂
Probably not good for battery and electronics just sitting collecting dust.
I want the Chevy V-8 where the piston rod comes thru the engine block. (engine runs cooler that way) How about a nice Toyota Tundra where they left metal shavings inside the cylinders at the factory? Kaboom. lol
Man a 4 banger just is not what a new truck needs. Especially one at that price. Craziness
GM also announced they are discontinuing the gas version of the Blazer at the end of the model year and only go with the electric version of the Blazer.
The EV Blazer and Equinox are far better to drive than the garbage 4 bangers.
They are not making these 4 cylinder turbos for fuel economy. They are making them because they cost less to engineer and produce compared to the big v6. It's nothing more than a way to increase thier profit margin. Sell you less and increase the price. They pocket more. Smaller engine block. 1 head vs 2. 2 cams vs 4. 1 exhaust manifold vs 2. The 4 banger is hundreds maybe thousand less to produce than a v6.
It's all about planned obsolescence 🤔
They tried to stick it to all the customers.
I was just at barretjackson auction. What was crazy were the 1 or 2 year old jeeps, suvs and trucks selling for $30-50k. Losing $30k as soon as you drive off the lot.
Let'em sit.
Just stopped by a ford dealer and at that dealer in order to get their “advertised discount” you must finance through them. 😅
I wanted a new Duramax but I can't afford it 😢
and everyone else too,
Thats terrible 😢
A majority of people cant, that's why they finance.
@ which is stupid by the way.
Cylinder Deactivation is evil!
I actually wouldn’t mind having a market adjustment as long as it’s $15,000 under MSRP.
Where is the LET IT ROT merch
So my question is when is the big reset ? When will the car prices go down ?
when they go out of business.
Greed everywhere
Let Em Rot...............
$60k for an over 1 year old e.v. Blazer?!?! 😳🤣
When is the last time that thing was even moved, last Summer.. no thanks I'd rather have some cheap old Honda or Toyota compact even if it's near the end of its life it would still be more dependable than any of the gm junk on that lot, e.v. or otherwise.
Boss wait till you hear this. Just read on an auto blog the 2025 Blazer will be the last year for it to have a gas powered engine. After 2025 the Blazer is only available as an EV.
You'd think they would have learned by now.
@HonestUAWElectrician
You buy and drive any EV off lot it's worth half what you paid and nobody buys used ones anyway.
Security ! Security ! Get this man out of the car sale lots ! 🤣
Enshitification of everything....LOL....NO BAILOUT THIS TIME GM....you bastards done it to yourselves
The part with the EV Chevrolet Blazer is that it’s a partnership with the Honda Prologue and the Acura ZDX. They just confirmed today that the gasoline Chevrolet Blazer is being discontinued in July.
when dealers get money from the manufacturers for having them on there lots. most dealers that are holding on these vehicles are milking the oems for floor plan assistance, if i was the manufacture i would stop giving them cash for this if the dealer is not willing to cut the price to move the product should fall on the dealership, with as much as the oem give them to help move products,
dealers holding on these old inventory Falls on the dealership and then the oem but mainly on the dealership
You get the same fuel economy with a v8 twice the size in older trucks.
I work for them fellas. Tell me your gripes. I would love to show this to my fellow electricians and bosses. Affordability and quality obviously, but yeah do not hold back.
I drive a 2017 Camry of course 4 cylinder for that just by a Frontier with the 6 if you need a truck
2 wheel drive? 😂
BTW, these silverados are so f... ugly
Well if you ask the government it's people like me that causes these issues. I'm a die hard for getting my hard earned moneys worth out of a vehicle. Let me show examples. 01f150 rcsb v6 5sp. 286k still pass inspection. First oil leak at 221k. 4hr repair myself. 2 clutches. Myself. 08 toyota tundra 4.0v6. 312k. Still pass inspection. No mechanical failure. Other than tires and batteries, and alternator. I swapped to a ho for sound system. Still has factory rubber under the hood. It's my Pic to the left. 08 toyota yaris. 231k. Ho alt. Tires, batteries, and 2 clutches. I installed. No other failures. I did change some parts to carry around the 600lb sound system however. 2014 mitsubishi outlander. 221k. Tires batteries. 1 shrader valve on ac. Did myself. No ther failures. 2017 expedition El. 162k. Tires batteries, and 1 waterpump. Again. I did it. 2020 2500 chevy. 42k. Changed the factory Tires. Didn't like the ride. Oh. Overl
The been saying the car market is crashing but I don’t see it happening anytime, yes inventory is up but they’ll just run incentives or a special interest rate, that’s it😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
GM the new KIA in vehicle manufacturing.
How is the 5.3 GM 1500 with AFM ?
MotorWeek car of the year
Dealerships can't sell overpriced vehicles yet put add-ons mark up other B.S they can't sell their inventory
All those engines are now coming back to haunt them bunch engineers inspectors will loose their jobs over two hundred thousand engines out there waiting to fail this will be as bad as the diesel engine fiasco 😮
Overpriced pos trucks don't buy motors are shit
Thomas....give us some good news.....😂.....we KNOW THEIR EXPENSIVE
Best I can do for ya brother is all makers have plenty of selection😅😅😅😅😅
Get rid of the electronics
It’s probably a good time to buy an empty lot next to all these dealers. Passive income. Easy money 😂
The price difference between the e-blazer and gas blazer is $15k not $25k. Math's not your strong point...
battery powered toys don't last long, maybe for 25k
This almost made sense
Ppl are buying plenty of chevys look at the numbers.I woulded by one.
