  • Amazon: Power 1000 → amzn.to/4b6ZMP9 Deal comes with 12V adapter 8/31 Power 500 → amzn.to/4c2ubPS
DJI enters the crowded market of power stations with some unique features. Most notably, the ability to fast charge certain DJI drone batteries. Let me know what you think about these two new power stations.
The code above is a one time use code per customer, BTW.

    Chapters would be helpful.

I turned on YT's auto chapters feature. I was hoping that would do a decent job. What parts are you interested in particularly?

I tested the power 1000 on a new, regular Samsung fridge and the website says 45 hours and we got 9-10… thought about sending it back but have tested other things that lasted way longer than what they advertise so I have no idea what kinda stuff they used to come up with those numbers.
    Still great power stations

I just looked that up based on your comment, you are right it says 45 hours for a home fridge! That has to be a typo they didn't catch or they are really being misleading. Maybe there was supposed to be a dash there 4-5 hours? That's great you got 9-10 hours, you have an efficient fridge.

When testing the switch over I suggest you do not use a blank, white screen but have a video playing so people can see if it glitched or froze, something you cannot see with the blank/white screen

Thanks for the suggestion. I may give that a try for the next review. The reason I choose a white background for these tests is to make it easier to notice any flicker on the LED backlights. I would think a video playing would make it harder to notice. The biggest thing though is that the computer keeps running.

I would suggest using a higher draw device too like a desktop. A laptop uses very little power and the capacitors in it may be large enough to keep it running even if the power cuts out briefly.

What do you think about these SDC ports on these units?

It has advantages for their ecosystem. However, relying upon the SDC outputs and adapters for 12 volt DC output and for solar input is a major mistake because it is like (actually worse) than old power stations that had a separate power brick for AC input. With DJI you have to keep around multiple bulky adapters. It would be one thing if they had a compartment on the power station in which you could put these adapters but they do not. Thus they are several years behind the curve of the development of power stations.

I have noticed that SDC is DJI's own proprietary port, it's not hard to imagine that in the future DJI will come up with a lot more different accesories which will make this SDC port even more powerful. Currently it supports drone fast charges, as well as 24v DC output which is better than tradition cig outlets that only support 12v. I really hope if DJI could release a video to clarify the functions of these SDC ports for us, that would be great.
