    DJI's new Portable Power Station - The Power 1000, is long overdue. DJI Has been making Action Cameras, Drones, Gimbals, Mics, and a bunch of creative electronics for over 10 years, and the Portable Power Station just makes sense! Not only does it make sense, but this is honestly one of the best little portable power stations we have had in a while. It may be lacking in some features, but it’s simple and absolutely crushes in terms of being both quiet and powerful. Let us know what you think!

    One thing I learned about the efficiency test is that, not only do you have to take in the loss from the inverter and the cooling fan, but the manufacturer also sets a voltage where the unit is designed to shut off in order to protect the battery from over discharge.

    Hi @TheSolarLab, thank you for bringing the fast charging issue to our attention. If you have any further inquiries, please feel free to reach out to us. Your cooperation is greatly appreciated.

      Hello, thank you for all your attention. Regarding the issue of fast charging time exceeding 70 minutes of DJI Power, DJI really cares about this feedback and has activley reached out to The Solar Lab earlier.
      After the analysis, our engineering team found that the battery cell temperature went above 45 degrees Celsius due to high power discharge before charging. This caused the power station to go into overheating protection mode and reduce the charging power to protect the battery cell.Therefore, we recommend our users to avoid high-power discharge before trying high-power charging tests, or leave a 2-hour interval between the two operations. If you need more info, kindly check our user manual for details. Or you could contact with our service support for further assistance. Thanks for understanding and cooperation!

It would be good if you actually tested the output from these ports. You might want to do another run at it with all the cables, and a set of the DJI solar panels and a full set of their cables.

    Thanks for the review iam in the market to buy a a battery box for my dj system . Would this unit work to bump a Mac laptop, 2 Bose s1 speakers and a 12” 400 watt sub ? I need it to run for about 4 -5 hours. The Bose s1 does operate on battery as well so l can use them with the built in battery to not drain the battery box . My buddy has a jackery 1000- 2000 watt and he bumps a two 12s and a 18” sub for a good 4 hours . But the battery life span is not as long as others . So that’s why l was looking at the vtoman cause it has about 40% longer battery life but now iam between idj and vtoman . Any djs here with some feedback??? Which one l should go with ?? I also have a bigger system of two 15s top speakers and a 18” sub might need it for that in case of bigger outdoor events where there’s no power . I will be doing djing at food truck spots where there no power and really need a reliable battery box that will do the job .

      I asked myself the same question, but now that I have one: Fast DC charging of drones. 2200W Output (vs 1800). 4000 cycles (vs 3000). WAYYY Quieter. and the case is really nice. • @alexdrum94
      @alexdrum94 4 месяца назад

      @@stephanesng the C1000 will also peak at 2200W if you look into the reviews. But there is NOOOOOO way drones will pull this much power. Which honestly confuses me about the aim of the product. Is it supposed to be for the max camera guy who is out and about and need to charge on the go? If so why does noise matter at all? Make the inverters tiny and the heat sync tiny and give me more battery for my dollars. Or maybe it’s for movie. Professionals and you need to stay quiet. Still. Keep the inverter MUCH smaller and give me more battery for my dollar. I just don’t understand the competitive edge this product has or is aiming for. What is the target market?
      The LFP battery tech is realistically the exact same spec. 3000 vs 4000 cycles over a 10 year period won’t be monitored by anyone nor done by anyone lol.
      It may be quieter as it’s twice the size… I’d hope to god they fit a bigger heat sync in there.
      From your comment it basically comes down to is losing 4 120v ports and doubling the size worth the noise trade off. For some it definitely is as they won’t use all the ports.
      Personally I’d rather have the unit that is cheap to expand to over 2.1 kWh and has 6 120v ports.
      Some might really value the sound (quiet) levels of the DJI though. Fair enough I suppose.

Dji's first generation product. It has a lot of features and it also lacks many options that competitors products have and their competitors have been doing it for years. The price is good but if you have to buy a bunch of adapters it raises the price and it can be a hassle having to carry adapters around.
