The USS Arizona was a marvelous beautiful and magnificent battleship that gave her all and It's not just a memorial but also a sacred grave stone for all her sailors and soldiers that fought and died alongside her till her final stand and also within her sacred halls within her are the sailors that died and drowned when she sunk in December 7th 1941 so raising her from the depths is worse than death it's disrespect sacrilege and blasphemy because the Arizona and her Sailors fought to the very end and to the death and they fought not just a losing battle but for American
Arizona was far from the largest ship in the Navy when it was bombed, the 3 succeeding classes of Standard Type battleships were all larger including West Virginia, Maryland, California, Tennessee, which were all at Pearl Harbor. The US had also just completed North Carolina and her sister Washington which were the largest warships in the American Navy at the time, they were both assigned to the East Coast however. Arizona was often marked as the flagship of the Battleship divisions 1 and 2 so I can understand why some would assume she was the largest.
Thank you for the information. I can’t even imagine how huge was Arizona or the other two ships mentioned above . Missouri impressed us by its size , she is huge.
@@VikDanAustraliaSHORTS Missouri and the other ships of her class are the longest battleships ever built, the only ones larger are the Yamatos which are shorter but heavier so Yamato is technically the largest ever, but Missouri is the longest ever made and the longest still around. Only the big aircraft carriers surpassed the battleships in size. Thankyou for posting the video, I'm glad to see people appreciate our history. Many people are unaware of the US and Australian cooperation during the war but we do remember, USS Canberra is the only ship I can think of named for a foreign city that we didn't fight a battle in. US and Australian ships fought side by side at Guadalcanal and many other places and you guys did a ton in Europe too. Thanks for everything, we've always got your back.
Only one lady removed her hat when she entered the shrine. As a mark of respect all hats should be removed at the door. Shame the old salty's are not pointing this out to the visitors.
I went at wrong time! Ferry completely packed, sardines on the memorial. Rushed tour, way too many folks. Difficult to see or hear much. Have to go back again when less folks present.
I want to Pearl Harbor before and I really liked it over there and rest in peace USS Arizona🎉😮😮.
