  • Today's video is a walk through of COSTCO Wholesale Club, which is an excellent place to buy your next TV. Not only is there an excellent selection from your favorite manufacturers, but their one of the few places that you can still walk into a physical store and buy at all sizes. Their return policy is also second to none. Thank you so much for watching!
You can also purchase any of the TV'S and AV equipment from our good friends at Value Electronics valueelectroni... or you can call them directly at 914 723 3344 and ask for Robert or Wendy and please mention Brian at BRIAN'S TECH THERAPY.
Special thanks to the Amazing Jennifer Gala and her second channel HDR SUPER CHANNEL for all her amazing work seen in the intro

Hi Brian, love your work. Couple of corrections needed for this video.
The S90CD with the blue graphic, rather than pink, is the 2023! Costco version of the S90C NOT the 2024 S90D. Costco added the D at the end to show it's their 2023 S90C model with a couple of extra features. Hence the $1,599 price rather than the higher current price of a S90D. Costco's version upgrades the audio from 40 watts to 60 watts. This is typically shown on the front lower left of the box front with the heading "Member Benefit". Several months ago S90C TVs at Costco started appearing with the blue picture rather than the pink. Thought it might have been a change over to 2nd Generation QD-OLED but never got an answer to that. Bot both the 65" & 77" S90CD Costco online as i have 40 stairs to this property. Always try to buy TVs from Costco due to shipping all the way to the warehouse floor is all palletized as you mentioned. Costco's Direct Service is handled by their Logistics division, so it's room of choice with $30 option for set up. Prefer getting TVs with ATSC 3.0 tuners, which like LG, the 2024 Samsungs do not have. $100 off for 2 on same order, $1,450 65", $1,900 77", 5yr warranty included, plus $150 Costco Shop Card received for each. Bot 8 of the LG C2 55" on Costco warehouse(s) liquidation for $599 each with 5yr warranty last August . Love TV's from Costco! Wish they had LG G & Sony A95L series in warehouse but understand why they dont. All the best, Brian

Costco has the 5 year warranty on most TVs. Of course 1st year is manufacturer and 2 year is Costco concierge with All state taking up 3-5. You have the 90 day return policy and as long as you aren’t taking them back on the regular they’ll take them back no questions asked. Not to mention on most SONY TVs they have 2 years of Sony pictures core instead of 1 along with 15 movie credits instead of 5 with Backlit remotes. So if you’re buying a Sony TV it’s a no brainer to get it from Costco.

I don't know how anyone competes with Costco. I just grabbed a 65A80CL for $1499 delivered with a 5yr warranty. Plus I get 2% back. I checked Crutchfield and Bestbuy and they weren't close. I didn't call VE. I'm a VE customer having bought a Technics turntable from them when they first re-entered the market. No way I could pay 600 more for a Bravia 8. I'd come closer to buying the C4 but at this price I couldn't pass up last year's Sony.

@TheSluggo080976 not hard at all. All sizes are very good. Most mini leds improve with Size , in regards to brightness and Zone count. The X90L has those subtle improvements when going up. But it's barely noticeable. What I'd noticeable is the immersion you gain.

Great video Brian. What did you mean when you said you shouldn’t return TV’s? I’ve returned 3 in the last 2 months because I have no way of testing SDR content and Motion in stores. They won’t even give you the remote in store in most cases so IMO this is how we have to do it. I’m not keeping a $3000 tv if It’s not a significant upgrade and again no way to really test drive em till you buy em🤷🏼‍♂️

@davidiveson4035 The challenge is that when a TV is opened, it can't be sold as new. I completely understand the want and need to try a display and return. However, this has both hurt the manufacturer and retailers. If you do it often enough, they will ban you, and you may get stuck with a TV you're curious about. While I understand the lack of sympathy for these massive companies try to also keep in mind that other appliances cannot be tried and returned. Great comment and thank you so much for watching

I bought my Sony 85-inch X90L from Costco. Its model number is the XR85X90CL. when compared to the regular X90L, I don't know if there are any other differences, such as the picture quality, internal speakers, etc., but it adds an extra year to the manufacturer warranty, three years of Allstate protection, and the same backlit, aluminum/aluminium/chrome/steel-faced remote included with the 2023 flagship A95L. @@BRIANSTECHTHERAPY I'm not sure how many people are aware of the remote included with the Costco release. But every time I hold it in my hand, I feel like I own a lot more than what I paid for. I know you have the regular A80L. Does that come with the plastic remote or the same A95L remote? If it comes with the plastic remote, I wonder if the Costco release (A80CL) includes the A95L remote like the X90CL. Anything over $2,000 would have taken me so long to save for that the 4K UHD Blu-rays I plan on adding to my collection might go out of print by the time I get the TV, which would defeat the purpose of upgrading to a 4K UHD TV. My choices were either a smaller flagship LCD or OLED or a larger mid-tier LCD. According to Caleb Denison from Digital Trends and the Rtings reviews, the X90L excels in so many areas at once including pre-calibration color accuracy, PQ EOTF tracking, HDR gradient handling, HDR color volume, and sustained full-screen brightness. After checking out Hisense's and TCL's 2024 lineups, and even Sony's more expensive 2024 lineup, the X90L still fits that sweetspot for performance, size, brightness, and price. If you compare it to what's out there this year, I think the X90L is still very relevant in 2024. Unless you need the 98-inch model, get the Costco release if you can. I think the display is the leader in any home theater system. A quality display will dictate the quality of the home theater system it is leading.

What are the chances of the G5 77 inch having a stand? I'd rather avoid wall mounting it. I want a 77 inch but I'm not sure about the C4 brightness coming from an 8 year old full array backlit mini led. I believe even the top oleds is still darker than it on full screen(I believe it has 1000 nits peak and 600 nits full screen). B9 is not oled and only 2 hdmi 2.1 ports and I don't want a Samsung. I guess I have to wait another year... Or compromise with B9 or C4 but Sony will probably get 4 hdmi 2.1 ports next year and make a better oled... But the top model will be priced to the moon anyway.

I'm pretty sure Mini-LED Full Array Backlight TVs didn't exist commercially 8 years ago. If I'm not mistaken, the first Mini-LED Full Array Backlit|| TV was the TCL 6-Series Mini-LED QLED from I think 2019 or 2020. I know because I bought my mom's a 65 incher on sale for just under a $1K & I remember thinking how the black levels were so good for a non-OLED. I mean they were only black & the colors were so vibrant. That's why I decided that my next TV would be a Mini-LED FALD QLED combination. The Samsung Neo QLED 85QN90A 2021 model. See I owned two 65" OLEDs, the LG C6 2016 & LG C10 2020 models & both of them suffered burn-in issues. So when I saw that LCD technology started to catch up with these new Mini-LED QLED TV's.
I decided to go with Samsung's Neo QLED 85QN90A. But 2 years later I moved & my Neo QLED was damaged. I'm disabled in a wheelchair & so I couldn't do it myself & had to pay my nieces boyfriend & his friend to move it for me & one of them squeezed just a little bit too hard & broke. And my Samsung Care+ doesn't want to cover it because it's external damage. IMO all TVs 75" or bigger should come with built-in handles for easy moving. The TV is 85 inches, weighs over 100 pounds & is 1.1 inches thick, it's almost impossible to move without damaging it. So now I'm watching RUclips videos trying to figure out my next buy. I have the list down to the same model but the 2023 85" QN90C, the 2024 TCL 85" QM8, the 2024 Hisense 85" U8N, or the Samsung 85" QN800C 8K model.
Or maybe go back & try my hand at OLED again with the Samsung 83" S90C QD-OLED. Maybe they finally fixed the burn-in issues. Anyways, what advice do you Brian & my fellow TV aficionados have? What I really want is the Sony 2024 85" Bravia 9, but it's currently $4800 & that's a lot pricier than I'm willing to go. I tried looking for an open box 85" Bravia 9 at Best Buy because with my Best Buy Total membership I get 2 years extended warranty with the option to extend it up to 7 years. but even those Bravia 9 open box TVs were still too damn pricey. Sorry for the long reply, but please any advice would be appreciated as I tend to procrastinate too much.😅
