  • “I’LL BE SEEING YOU”: I’d like to dedicate this special song to my Mama Louisa on her heavenly birthday. This was a song she taught me a few years before she passed. Interestingly, this was also the melody she used to sing from her front porch during the challenging WWII years when she was in her mid-teens. Above them, in the duplex, lived a woman whose husband was serving overseas; she would ask my mother to serenade this song for her every night. Later, when my parents met at a dancehall in Cleveland, my mother discovered that this very song was among the fondest tunes my father cherished during his time in the Navy. Originally recorded by Bing Crosby in 1944, this timeless melody still resonates today.🌙 #IllBeSeeingYou
    I'LL BE SEEING YOU
    I'll be seeing you
In all the old familiar places
That this heart of mine embraces
    All day through
    In that small café
    The park across the way
The children's carousel, the chestnut trees
    The wishing well
    I'll be seeing you
    In every lovely summer's day
In everything that's light and gay
I'll always think of you that way
I'll find you in the morning sun
And when the night is new
I'll be looking at the moon
    But I'll be seeing you

Written in 1938 for the Broadway show, "Right This Way." This song was much loved during World War II, when it became an anthem for those serving overseas. My father Victor Ciepiel served in the Navy from 1941-1947.
