    I really love both these men, it's cool to hear them talk. I never would have thought Hitchens would waste time with Hendrie's show (and I mean that in the most respectful way possible).

    I've liked both of these guys for a long time and never would have put them together though they are equally brilliant, like John Coltrane and John Belushi. Never knew Phil did interviews. This clip was really great. Cheers for posting.

    Except that, unlike when Phil is talking to, ahem, himself- here, there is actual overlap in the conversation between himself and Christopher.

    If by "intellectuals", Mr. Hendrie means anyone who is in the public eye without first being a Top 40 sensation or a movie/television star, here's but one small list of such individuals who weren't terribly sold on our invasion of Iraq and quite vocal in their opposition:
    -General Michael Rose
    -Bjorn Lomberg
    -Reza Aslan
    -Mohsin Hamid
    -Robby Soave
    -Vincent Buglioli(advocated for the prosecution of Bush the II for murder along with the architects of The Torture Memos
    -Tony Camerino
    -Boutros Ghalli
    -William Easterly
    -Robby Soave
    -Tom Ricks
    to name but a few. I'd humbly submit to both him and the late Mr.Hitches, wherever he might be, that they might have been aware of the considerable discontent and skepticism with this entire affair had they not chosen to mimic Bill O'Reilly's constant and fellatio-esque praise of The Oval Office. If anything, the absence of much public recalcitrance or suspicion of ANY government use of force, either foreign or domestic, is cause for alarm, not the unabashed sycophancy displayed by the likes of Hitchens and Hendrie in regards to this particular event. Clearly, one needn't belong to a church, temple, mosque, or synagogue to still be pathetically dogmatic.

    They "imply" that Bush was responsible, by mentioning a relationship with the saudis and what it implies, without revealing that osama was disowned by the saudi family, By clouding the connection between Bush and the saudis in a mist of lies and misrepresentation they absolutely want the blame on Bush's shoulders.

    @StanleyKu If you have worked with steel then perhaps you are aware of transfer of momentum physics?
    When a very light object smashes into a very heavy object, the momentum REVERSES in impulse physics, and only that fraction that is the difference between the sum of the two masses is absorbed, plus the irreversibilities.
    Anyone that looks at the videos is able to see the towers exploding from inside to allow free fall acceleration.
    Please wake up.

    @gtalcstories
    Anyone with a brain knows that Micheal Moore is not to be taken seriously.
    He's an incredibly shallow demigogue. His "documentaries" consist of cut and repasted interviews, so he can make the interviewie appear to say something they didn't mean to.
    That's bad news for the UK, especially considereing that they tend to look down their noses at our politics.

  • @stevao

    the only moore film i take seriously is sicko, it would be interesting to see responses to that film. First impressions were that it was surprisingly accurate tho heavily dramatised state of affairs. true?

    @V45Rider Same rate of freefall? Give me a break. If building fell on the moon and one on earth, only then would the rate be different. There is no such thing as a skyscraper that is able to withstand "multiple plane attacks". That is ridiculous! Think about it.... Is it really THAT hard to believe that a plane weighing several hundred tons hitting a building at almost supersonic speeds could possibly.....make it collapse? You are so far removed from common sense that it's scary.

    Hendrie is a comedy genius. For those of you who don't know, for most of his career, or at least before he started doing lame political talk radio, he did mainly a comedy show. Great stuff. Find some of his older stuff and you won't regret it.

    @centurion180ad No, that's god of the gaps. We don't know so magic man must have done it. But not even the religious can agree which magic man, so again, all the work ahead of you.

  • @Hirnlego999
    @Hirnlego999 13 лет назад +1

    @centurion180ad "There is one god". Again, you have yet to demonstrate this. You have FAITH, which is to say that you believe on faith. If it was KNOWLEDGE then you wouldn't need faith. Again, all the work ahead of you. Doesn't matter which degrees you claim to hold. You still come to a court without a case. Dismissed.

  • @StanleyKu

    @DawnOfTheDead991 Exactly, but common sense is not allowed here. Long before architects ever thought of designing tall buildings to withstand seismic activity and wind sheer, they first had to make it indestructible to commercial jetliners at speeds they generally only reach above 30,000 ft. And they had to think of this before 9/11. Maybe Elvis was behind it.

  • @rerunAdam
    @rerunAdam 14 лет назад +1

    @robaquarian Well I certainly don't believe it was an inside job. what would be you threshold of when a nation could respond. Say for example Pakistan gave a nuke to a individual and detonated it in an american city would be justified to act then.
    Iraq was not related to the attack but an argument could be make that thoes that survive now may be better off then they were before.

  • @DawnOfTheDead991
    @DawnOfTheDead991 13 лет назад

    @V45Rider Sorry, but it is up to your kind to come up with the evidence, which you have not one shred off. I don't have to prove your fantasies wrong, you have to prove them right. There should be plenty of people involved yet no one reported anything suspicious as well as not one of them came forward! So go chew on your fishcakes.

  • @Hirnlego999

    @centurion180ad Soul. Again you speak about things which you cannot prove, and yes the burden of evidence is on your side. You have the same amount of evidence as people of other faiths, zero. This is good because if we're under his tyranny, his indifference then it's kind of a hopeless world. The inventor of diseases and hell, oh boy what a cruel being, had he been human he'd be on trial for crimes against humanity. The mind juggle of fitting magic man with reality is yours. Not my burden.

    The penetration & infiltration of organized religion by old men of profound wickedness from an early time that persists to this day, is self evident.
    That said, there is 1 God.
    Mr. Hitchens please identify if you are able:
    1. the physical process that of necessity produces life.
    2. the physical process that of necessity produces self awareness.

    Loved Hendrie's shows from the mid 90's thru 2001. Best radio ever. Then he made a hard right turn. Syndication made him pretentious and ever harder to listen to. He should have stayed local and non-political.

      In fairness to PH and Hitchens-PBUH-both, at 3:01 or so, have bestowed upon us remarkable illumination: the only difference between a conservative and a liberal is that the liberal loves the minorities and civil liberties, so long as the former ain't living next door to them and the latter is something enjoyed by themselves exclusively. This, kids, is dogmatism(whether it flies under the banner of rightist, leftist, or Islamist)cloaked in the guise of independent thought in all it's glory
