    Refer to your motorcycle permit manual when choosing bike lanes. When passing if you can't see them in their mirror they can't see you, most motorcycles are wiped out from being in blind spots staying in the #1 lane passing a vehicle that's on the right you should be closest to that vehicle in #3 lane and vis versa. I have over 100k miles under me since 2009 never had an issue using that rule of thumb. Though I have gone done hitting a deer, no amount of experience can prevent that.

    • @ChristopherJones16
      @ChristopherJones16 2 года назад

      So wait, the #1 lane is the far left lane? The vic you’re passing on the right is in the second lane to your immediate right and the #3 lane is the far right lane? How do you pass a vic that’s in the #2 lane while you are in the #1 lane staying closest to the #3 lane?

    • @jasonw833
      @jasonw833 2 года назад

      @@ChristopherJones16 lol no, there's 3 bike lanes per a single car lane. So a two lane highway one direction there's technically 6 bike lanes separated into 3's, from left to right 1,2,3,1,2,3. It also deals with the staggering method for motorcycle groups using 1 and 3 lanes so we have better braking distance between ourselves but also being seen by other motorists regardless what car lane we're in.

    I see these kind of bikes every now and then and I'm not sure if they're actual 4 stroke dirt bikes with street tires or if they came that way from the factory.

      You can buy this bike for 2600 bucks and it destroys the z125 in most category's including a better 5 speed transmission allowing about 10 more mph top speed and a longer wheel base allowing it to handle better. The z125 msrps at 3199 and was actually only under 3k when it came out in 2017, it you really want to say 2999 is under 3k which will be over 3k with a simple doc fee. It's not only cheaper than a z125 but ita a better bike. Not to mention of youre over 5'10" it's also a much more comfortable bike. So basically it's worth more than a z125 but no its not more expensive you're paying more for basically the Kawasaki name. I've got a local dealer that carries both bikes and the bennelli runs about 500 less. Now if you have seen a z125 under 3k in the last 2 months, you might want to remember that people havent exactly been moving a lot of inventory in he last few months and are wanting to move product. I cant say they arent being put on sale but they arent cheaper than a bennelli.

      Everyone has different break in routines. The main idea is that after a few heat cycles a new engine changes shape Slightly and further seals itself shut. Heating it evenly will prevent the heads from changing shape before the block. Kinda like cooking, if you want things to heat evenly use lower heat and go slower. I would reccomend to do some research on "breaking in engines" if you're still unsure. This will allow you to make the best decision for your investment.

      The gear indicator was faulty. The bike runs perfectly fine but every now and then it thinks it's in neutral. The dealership has the peice to fix it. It doesn't bother me though I'll just let them swap when I get inspected.

      Those were my final 2 choices as well... I'm 6'2" and the handle bars hit my knees in a tight turn. I'm sure I could have adjusted them or went with aftermarket ones. I just felt like there was more room on the Benelli. So far I have had zero problems and I'm closing in on 3k miles.

    please learn how to downshift correctly, it irks me to hear you just slap down gears without downshifting.

    • @royalshank3267
      @royalshank3267  5 лет назад +1

      I always rev match and use the clutch. Not sure what you are referring to when you say slap down gears... maybe you could pin point out a specific time stamp which I made an error. There are only a couple downshifts in this video so I'm assuming you were talking about the one at the end when I immediately got on the gas because I was merging into traffic. Pay attention to my hands and you will notice that I do rev match... if I didn't I'm sure my tire would be locking up more often.

    Problem with Benelli top speed… the speedos are off by 10% from the factory. (Reads too high) . Reset the computer to get the correct speeds, and top speed is about 64 mph.

      Everything ive found online says its anything over 50cc is allowed on the highway. Not recommended tho.. For the few states who have stricter rules the minimum is 125 to 150 so this would still be fine but also not recommended.
