    🤯 I couldn’t watch both episodes in one sitting. I had my scriptures out, taking notes, pausing, rewinding, re-listening to parts over and over, and I just feasted, hard core! I’m just 3 weeks away from being able to attend the temple again, after a MIGHTY fall from the church in 2018. I’ve been trying to prepare myself in the BEST way possible to once again receive the blessings of the sacrament, Priesthood, and Temple once again, over the past 18 months since my faith has been rekindled. After discovering Mike Day in your previous episodes, I’ve listened to all of the (Mike and Bryce) Talking Scripture episodes from the BOM in 2020, D&C 2021, and I’m in Joshua of the 2022 series, and I just can’t get enough of the WORD. I’m so grateful to be able to catch up all of the come follow me that I missed in my APOSTASY, and for discovering your channel, of which I never miss an episode! You guys rock, keep it up! Thanks!

    🔥 I’m glad other people are seeing this. The whole point of the temple initiatory is to be prepared to serve in the temple. The first time you go to the temple you go for yourself then every time after you go for the dead, more importantly for your own family so they can partake of the tree of life, symbolically of course.

    I learned a very little bit of Hebrew as part of a MASA program in Israel years ago, and when we didn’t learn the “typical” irregular verbs first (like “to be”), and when asked why the instructor said, “because they do not exist. And then I remembered “I AM” and wondered what that word is, and was then like it DOES exist! But they are so committed to not taking the Lord’s name in vain that it has been dropped from regular usage in speech.
    Makes you think a bit about the next time you start to talk down to yourself, saying “I am __”

    Thank you so much for this interview! I have feasted deeply, I feel a nourishment I have missed. I don’t mind having to search and do my own soul nourishment, it’s like cooking for yourself every day. But sometimes when you get invited to dinner and the meal is exquisite, you remember and appreciate it forever! So many things confirmed, then moved even deeper in understanding. Plus I finally see where OUR temple worship fits. It has not been lost on me that the church talks about how temples were part of the original church in Christ’s time, but the temple of Christ’s time didn’t do baptisms for the dead, Sealings of marriage, endowments and the like. The Jewish temple is completely different than latter-day temples. So when you started describing things and I’m seeing and hearing it all come together in my mind, my soul lept for joy and I finally saw it! There’s the temple of our day!! The sermon on the mount!!! My soul rejoices!
    Your could have gone two more hours and it would still have been over far too soon. I’m so glad a friend shared the video link. I can’t wait to listen to some of the others! 💕

    13:45 so crazy I was just study this today in relation to the Seal of Hezekiah which was discovered in 2015. The cognate of “to be” is “life.” Hayah is to be, hay is life. I wonder if when the BoM says “and it came to pass” it is similar to that “hayah,” or “hay.” The Anglican/English version of “hay” or “hayes” is used to describe a thicket, shrubbery, or… bush. The Gailic form of “hays” means “fire” so all this reminds me of the burning bush, or “hedge” which is used to protect or cover or hide a vineyard or home, it is a hurdle for an enemy. My last name is Hayes so anytime I see root words I look up the meanings and definitions to see if it gives scripture more context and understanding.

    Interesting thought... choose between God and Mammon. -> Law of consecration. Either you consecrate the riches you got from earth/creation to God or you serve Mammon (the riches or the earth/creation).

    To me this makes a lot of sense. When Jesus comes to the Nephites, he first teaches faith, then repentance, by introducing himself, then Baptism, then gift of the Holy Ghost, So what would be next in the temple? Priesthood which he gives to the 12 he chose, then the Beatitudes, Temple ordinances, on to entering into his presence when he pulls them all back in and heals them, then introduces them to the Father by way of his prayer that he defy words addressed to the father. He then invites them in and dwells among them, until they fall away and separate themselves from him. I have never thought about it like this. What would Jesus want to do if he wanted to teach someone and get them back to heaven. He would teach the temple... even marriage is in there if the Church is his bride, then 3 Ne. 27 would explain the marriage, and sealing of us to him!!!!!!!!!!!! It is all there. I am feeling excited about this imagery. So what does Jesus do when he visits the Nephites, he takes them through the temple!🤯

    My son had shared this with me… Thank You very much
    I think you could shared something very similar with other Christian… Leave the Book of Mormon and LDS scriptures out..Continue using Ancient Temple reference and three room with the three level of glory. And the Connection of Christ teaching with the Ancient Temple in the Old Testament.
    I think many of my Christian friends would enjoy and learn from it too.

    "... He was speaking the word to them, so far as they were able to hear it; and He did not speak to them without a parable; but He was explaining everything privately to His own disciples." He teaches through symbolism, and explains PRIVATELY (in the temple??) to HIS OWN DISCIPLES.

    Remember that the final gate in the temple was literally named "the life." Narrow is the way that leader to life.

    Great ideas. For years I've noticed that Matt 5 and 3 Ne 12 are a character development chapters. I also noticed that we are commanded in verse 48 to be perfect. Jesus keeps teaching after that. Why did he say that there and not at the end of the whole thing? I believe we must focus on perfecting the attributes in 3 Ne 12. That is our job in this mortal temple. After the "Blessed are they..." which are steps of development, then comes further developments to share the Light, overcome the worldliness of anger, reconciliation, conflict prevention, lust, honesty, integrity, retaliation avoidance, sharing, love even if not deserved. These instructions are for us to perfect our characters to be divine, complete, whole, perfect - a worthy temple to become, be like our Savior and Father in Heaven.

    You could also view it as
    Your home = The first level
    Church = The second level (sacrament)
    Temple = The third level
