Also looking for any tips on how to closeup the gap caused by damage/deterioration of the unique weather seal located under the edge of the slide out beds. One idea ... glue a strip of grey, vinyl flooring base molding to the front edge of the beds, should largely take care of pretty much all of this fairly obvious gap.

hello since you are a well seasoned Apache camper, I would like to ask you, if they are water tight? with all the seams and gaps and joints and from what some people say, they supposedly leak. Is that correct and if yes can they be made watertight with a reasonable effort? thank you for your time. I'm looking to buy one, therefore my worrying
If done right they can be, but no matter what you do it will never be a submarine or as tight as a camper that doesn't involve origami during setup. Mine can withstand the constant and sometimes intense rain of Washington state, I can also wash the outside with a hose. Just don't spray hard around any seams, and my door will take in a little bit of water but it's not enough to be concerned with.

My trailer had one OG left in it. It was more like a sponge then foam and was double sided taped in
