  • This stovetop chicken souvlaki recipe is super easy to make! The chicken is tender,lemony and it is bursting with bright, Greek flavors.
    With my recipe, you still get the same Mediterranean flavors of the classic recipe without firing up the grill. You can make it right on your stovetop. How great is that?
    Tzatziki sauce is sooo good with literally any thing chips,veggies ,….you name it,sky is the limit.
    It’s very important to squeeze cucumbers very well before mixing with the yogurt.

    very nice for people who don't have a barbq! My 1 advice would be to buy Greek pita bead, brush it with olive oil both sides a little sea salt and put it in the pan to toast it a bit on both sides and sprinkle paprika & oregano, this is nice on its own as well with tzatziki.

    This is maybe Indian Souvlaki. In Greece we don´t use dry Oregano or dry Parsley. Everythin is fresh.

      I know ! I agree with you however I prefer it this way.Sometimes added fresh herbs give strong flavors ..too strong for my taste.

    do you soak the skewers first

    • @RashaAshour40
      @RashaAshour40  2 года назад

      No,I don’t ! because it’s not in contact directly with fire but if you decide to barbecue it then yes you have to soak skewers at least 30 minutes.Have a great day 😊

    Aaa...no.
    1. Put more olive oil, chicken breast is very lean.
    2. More lemon juice
    3. Stove on medium-high, smoking hot pan, otherwise you end up with steamed chicken, like here.
    4. Learn how to make it properly before posting recipes on RUclips.

    • @RashaAshour40
      @RashaAshour40  2 года назад +1

      Aah ..yes
      Let me teach you something
      1- My Recipe has enough olive oil to crisp chicken breast without being too greasy.
      2- it’s perfect amount of lemon for me,you can add more if you like.
      3-Medium-high is good enough to crisp chicken without drying it.chicken wasn’t steamed in the frying pan,watch my video again!
      Smoking hot pan is suitable for chicken with skin on + it’s not healthy to let olive oil reach smoke hot point, it generates toxic fumes and free radicals which are extremely harmful to your body.
      4-learn to try the recipe first before judging based on your limited knowledge!
      5- try my way or stick to yours that if you know how to cook! Either way is fine with me.Adios😊

      @@RashaAshour40 the only thing you are right about is the smoking point of olive oil. Nevertheless, use canola or grape seed oil (high smoke point) to oil the pan and olive oil in the marinade. Skin on chicken can be cooked starting in a cold pan, skin side down, to render out the fat. The skin will get crispier that way. It is a technique chefs use in restaurants for skin on chicken and duck breasts. You certainly don't have a clue about the maillard reaction and how grilled chicken should look like. Don't need to try your recipe to know it is not ok, because I used to cook like you about 10 years ago and I thought it was ok, and then I learned how to properly grill meat. I don't care about teaching you how to grill, I only write for those who see the vid and waste the time and the meat by following your instructions😉
