- Hyundai is offering the Exter at a price range starting from Rs 6 lakh and going up to Rs 10.10 lakh (introductory rates, ex-showroom across India).
Variety: The Exter presents a diverse lineup comprising five primary variants: EX, S, SX, SX (O), and SX (O) Connect. Additionally, the S and SX trims in the middle offer the option to equip a CNG kit.
Seating Arrangement: Despite being marketed as a 5-seater, the Exter is optimally comfortable for four occupants. Notably, all passengers benefit from 3-point seatbelts, although Hyundai has not included adjustable headrests for rear seat passengers.
Trunk Capacity: The Exter boasts a capacious 391 litres of boot space.
Engine and Gearbox: Powering Hyundai's compact SUV is a naturally aspirated 1.2-litre petrol engine (83PS/114Nm), which interfaces with either a 5-speed manual gearbox or a 5-speed AMT. A 1.2-litre petrol-CNG alternative (69PS/95Nm), complemented by a 5-speed manual transmission, is also available.
Fuel Efficiency of the Exter is as follows:

1.2-litre petrol-AMT - 19.2 kmpl
1.2-litre petrol-CNG - 27.1 km/kg
Attributes: The Exter is brimming with an array of features, including an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system that integrates up to 60 connected car functionalities. Other offerings encompass a digital driver’s display, cruise control, wireless charging, and automatic air conditioning. In addition, it incorporates amenities such as a solitary-pane sunroof, a dual-camera-equipped dash cam, and rain-sensing wipers.
Safety: A comprehensive safety suite comprises six airbags, ABS with EBD, electronic stability control (ESC), a tire pressure monitoring system (TPMS), a rear parking camera, and ISOFIX child seat anchorages.
Competition: The Hyundai Exter finds itself in competition with the Tata Punch, Maruti Ignis, Nissan Magnite, Renault Kiger, Citroen C3, and the Maruti Fronx.

These kinda videos are NOT Ownership reviews but just 'Pros of Exter'. A genuine Ownership review should include both genuine pros and cons. No car, especially at under 10 lakhs is perfect but makes some cost cutting sacrifices for other features. For eg. For Exter, no passenger and driver arm rest not even in top variant, no fog lamp even optional (only those living at foggy hilly areas will understand how essential this is), lower approach and depurture angles, small and thinner wheel compared to rivals with no any 16 inch alloy even at alloy variants, etc. A genuine review should include both Pros and Cons.

@@AtulKumar-sw6fc WELL SAID, I absolutely don't understand what kind of cost cutting is Hyundai doing by removing fog lamps from all cars produced by them. Fog lamps are one of the most essential features a car must have (I think).

Most useful part of this car is the Sunroof, on which the owners felt so proud. Keeping the sunroof closed in summers, winters and rainy season is the biggest duty of the proud owners.😂😂😂😂

I got Exter only because of space.... The leg space, the head room and the boot space, head room is much better than then i10, Venue, Tata punch.....Very comfortable in long drive ( driven 600km only with two breaks), comfortable ride, loved the car with bluelink features... The only issue is it should come with driver and rear arm rest at least top two variants..... All together a good car in this 1.2l engine segment..
Hello, I too am intetested to buy Exter. How about the suspension? It is too soft. The car buckles down sharply. Also Hyundai cars give low mileage. 😮

Exter simply outstandingly superb in performance. Feature packed. I owned it 08 months back, have driven over 10,000 Kms. Fun to drive. More than satisfied.

Recently mere yaha ek exter ki accident huyi hai. 120 ki speed se highway divider me takkar mari. Pura front side damage huwa. 6 air bags khule and fortunately driver and passenger cabin dono me kuch bhi damage nahi aaya. I was quite shock to see that as the engine part is totally damaged. So in my opinion this car actually worthy of atleast 4 star as hyundai claims to be.
