I have a friend who, to this day, has not gotten out of Lingrave nor fought a single boss. Makes me sad to think of what they have missed.

@@philipk9345i it's not buried in the lore, you just need to talk to Ranni while in possession of the black knife print. She basically admits to orchestrating the NoBK and killing herself for reasons.

@Night-Lord i think theres enough information in game to argue that both Marika and godwyn knew about the plot and allowed it to happen. Marika may manipulated Ranni into killing godwyn by sending her 2 fingers to the stars.
Ranni was originally gonna use the death rune on her fingers but chose godwyn when Marika took them.
The Erdtree had stopped giving life because it needed death for that to happen. Marika found out that removing death from the lands between was the problem.
Marika thought that if they killed an immortal demigod and buried them under the Erdtree, it would reincorporate death into the Erdtree's lifecycle.
The plan backfired because nobody expected only godwyn's soul would die, his body just ended up infecting the Erdtree. Marika was distraught and shattered the elden ring.
I have never played a game like Elden Ring before. It made me so alive, furstrated , excited, challenged and it remind me what was like to play a video game when i was young , a feeling i didn't know i missed for over 20 years.
Yea you have. Played any of the other from software games? They are the same game. Before you say no; objectively yes, they are the same games, just change setting, characters and plot.

@@JYDollahsign This was my first game from this company , I always new The Dark Souls franchise but never got the chance to play them or watch them as a playthrough. I do now :) I have seen the similiraties you speak off but still i enjoy all of them now regardless of the same Ideas.
I wish these cinematics would play when you let the main menu idle for long enough.

With the DLC trailer, there's a likelihood she was co-conspiring or being manipulated by Miquella.
A lot of item descriptions already give the impression of Miquella being the true mastermind behind the shattering, and might have even planned on Mohg kidnapping him to get rid of his mortal flesh.

@@M0ONCommander isn't stated in the lore that Miquella liked or cared about Godwyn? so him being behind his death seems rather strange. I also don't remember being any info about Miquella being behind the shattering, only Ranni and perhaps Marika ( strange bc she cared for her son Godwyn but we all know how Marika's love for her children goes...*cough cough* Morgot/Mogh) but I would love to learn more. More or less new to the game.
miquella loved godwyn and thats why malenia fought radahn in the first place too find a way to let godwyn die a true death and to fix the shattering@@goncaloferreira8543

All while fending off all manner of foes along the way. What an absolute badass Finlay was.
I stopped playing Elden Ring for a while since at the time I thought I would never beat it. I'm back at it again though, and I'm on my way to Mt. Gelmir. Wish me luck boys!

I wish we could've seen more cinematic scenes from the Shattering, especially the seige of Lyndell. It's just so cool to look at, and it brings back fond memories of watching "The Lord of the Rings: Return of the King" for the first time, and the scenes of the Seige of Minas Tirith.

Back when this came out in 2022 we had no idea what was happening, but now seeing Marika and Radagon fighting to destroy and mend the Elden Ring is really awesome.
One of the best games I have ever played, and one of the most cinematic and surreal experiences I have ever had.
To anyone considering buying this game, do it if you’re willing to commit yourself to one of the most colossal games ever. The game is massive, and very challenging.

@@mikeb4588 took me 140 hours to complete. And that’s because I actually did exploring instead of just going through the main bosses right away and looking up guides to everything in the game. I actually tried to learn things on my own.

@@mikeb4588 I didn’t take my time, I played like any other person would, but I just didn’t look up guides or immediately go to the main bosses, I actually went exploring and did some side quests in between the main bosses, like you should. And every time I explored I’d find something awesome, and I probably haven’t even found everything yet. Idk what’s so upsetting about that to you lmao

It's too complex, the game has been out 2 years and still none of the players fully know wtf is going on, there's no way the story could be told as a movie or show without just being hours and hours of lore exposition

Fr i still can not believe how beautiful this whole game is i will never forget this game. This game had me rushing home after work to play and going to work tired and just pushing to play more just like bloodborne did. Best fromsoftware games ever made

Radahn and Malenia being not only two of the strongest Demigods to ever live, but the last two still standing during the shattering is crazy to me. And it really shows when you fight them. No bosses intimidated me more than those two. Radahn for his size and power, and Malenia solely due to the fact she fought Radahn to a standstill and LIVED.

@@willsmith124 All it would require is people who understand and respect the lore, the art and the craft, and are willing to dedicate themslves to it. Budget isn't necessary, you can film it in your backyard. If you do it right, people will love it.

Crazy how I never even knew of Elden Rings existence until the day of its release. Then I ended up getting the platinum twice

To this day I say that radahn beat malenia.
He did, Malenia had to use a failsafe just so she could get away, her going into a coma and Radahn becoming a zombie. If she didn’t unleash the rot she would have lost and even unleashing it she didn’t win.

@@-_-ligmaMalenia was well known as an undefeated champion and well known swordsman. Radahn even let her put her prosthetic arm on to have an honourable fight. Malenia was able to bloom and use the rot in her fight with the tarnished because she had already bloomed at least once before and had no needle suppressing the rot, she essentially succumbed to the rot in a last effort to beat us. If she was able to do that against Radahn, arguably she would have won outright yes, but she didn’t, she passed our straight after blooming and unleashing the rot. Her soldiers having to carry her and flee from the battle. Radahn did lose his mind but that only happened after the fight ended, he was still able to fight after first being afflicted with rot.

Malenia and Radahn are supposed to be some of the hardest bosses, but for me Mogh was the hardest, but that was probably because I fought him fairly early in the game, I had to grind for at least ten hours to level up to a point where I was able to beat him.
