Sorry about the audio, I didn’t alter the in camera mic sensitivity, so it was still set in my in helmet vlogging mode 🙄.
This might be an exclusive, as I think we are the first to unwrap and get close up and personal with the new for 2024 Royal Enfield Bullet 350. Really looking forward to taking one out for a test ride, though owning a Classic 350, we pretty much know how it will go. It will really be about the seat and riding position.

This is very definitely a true Bullet for the twenty first century. The J platform bikes really are the benchmark for affordable, practical, traditional motorcycling.
Absolutely, and very eloquently put 😎 Thanks Steven
I would have every Enfield if I wasn't a peasant... Every model...!!!!
@barry5580 me too 🤗
I really like the Bullet ...so much nicer than the classic ...hate those split seats on the classic ..my mate has an older Bullet this is a great tribute to the old Bullet
@willyrackham2957 RE have a knack of designing bikes to appeal to everyone. Cheers
Nice one Ian, what a scoop 😊, liking the Bullet in standard black, the pinstriping is spot on....
Thanks Henry, I was rather taken by the pinstriping 😂
Congratulations on your new job Ian! 😉. The bike looks much better than it did in photos and in real life probably even better. That seat looks much more comfortable than mine and the blacked out one looks very smart. I'm looking forward to your test ride. Thanks, Mick
Good evening Mick, wouldn’t be a bad job. Unwrapping, then prepping and polishing, maybe the odd pre delivery ride too 🤗. Yes definitely nicer in the flesh, and although I’m not too keen on Matt/satin painted bikes, I did like the contrasting gloss. Nice job !
This Black Gold is beatiful.
They all are 😉 Cheers
Gloss black is absolutely bang on gorgeous imo😊
Definitely 👍
Bloody gorgeous
Well done Ian for this scoop
Great job 👏 😊
Thanks Phil, much appreciated. We did it last Thursday while we were down in Nantwich visiting parents, and then had the weekend at Cheddleton visiting Ann’s brother, so we were on pins hoping that no one beat us to it 😳, before we returned yesterday when I could get the editing done. I had my foot down on the M6, a bit further than I usually do 😂
What a great video Ian, I do like the bikes and you did a great job revealing them to the world, I hope to get you on the demonstrator come rain or shine. See you soon, I like one of your followers comments, a nice showroom that ❤
…..and he is right. You have done a cracking job in there 😎. Can’t wait to get out on one of the Bullet’s, if it’s ‘orrible weather, then we will just have to give it a wash, simples 😂
Fit and finish looks first class! They just get better and better don't they. Thankyou very much! I wonder if we'll see them in OZ?
Morning Steven, you can buy a Classic 350 in OZ, so I’m sure you will get the Bullet too. Cheers
Well unwrapped Ian👏 Have you seen the video of the painter in the factory putting those gold stripes on? He really is a master of his craft. I’m just not sure about the seat🤔 I think the Classic with the pillion seat removed looks so much better and in keeping with the style of the bike. That said this one does look super comfortable. If you could do a straight swap for a Bullet of your choice would you?
Now that is a good question……..I like the photos of the Maroon coloured one, and look forward to seeing it in the flesh. I will be able to give you a better answer after I have ridden the Bullet 😉
I'm happy with my Red and Chrome classic.
These are just aesthetics same as the desert etc.
The J series is the heart and soul of all these various models and what gives them the character owners love.
Yes indeed, more choice in style for prospective buyers. 😎 Cheers
Ohh! It’s like Christmas but even better!
Imagine having one under your tree 😎🎉
He’s a brave man letting you unwrap it!
Hey, I’m really gentle, even when let loose with the bluntest scissors available 😂 cheers
Looks great, wish the Classic 350 had such nice looking badges on it as the Bullet!
I actually quite like the raised tank letters on the tank of my Halcyon Black Classic 350, though prefer the Bullet’s side panel ones.
Good scoop there Ian looking forward to your ride review 👍🇬🇧
So am I Davey, cheers.
The scattered remains of the wrapping reminded me of the kids after they opened the Christmas presents. You one lucky lad, nice one Ian.
Thanks Alex, it was just like Christmas, but we did tidy up afterwards 😂
Oh lovely! 😍 I want a standard black to keep my Warhorse company 😍 they look great and that Bullet name on them for tradition 😁👍
I can see a naughty purchase I will need to do some explaining about 😜👍
😂 you need to have a look. I wasn’t keen on the squared off mudguard when I saw the photos, but in the flesh they are fine. I think that big seat would be great for carrying pillions or luggage. They are nice bikes Bruce. Cheers
Absolutely gorgeous! I had a classic 500 and the 350 cures all the complaints l had about mine. Currently have a softail Harley ( basically a bullet on steroids 😂) but miss the old thumper!
Seems to be an increase in scrotes going after these bikes after years of RE on the tank being the best anti theft device available, so look out!
“Harley (basically a bullet on steroids)”, that made me giggle 🤭. Yes, unfortunately seen instances where thieving scumbags had them away. 😢. Cheers
Hi Ian, that was nice of them allowing you to do that, i am not a fan of Matt Black bikes but what you pointed out with the gloss black infill on the tank i think that would be my choice.
All The Best
Baz
Thanks Baz, Roger contacted me to let me know they were being delivered, then asked if I wanted to do an “unboxing” type video. Obviously I jumped at the chance. Not the best video, but I am not used to being that side of the camera 😂
I think the Bullet looks so much better than the classic ...just my opinion obviously.
@willyrackham2957 …..and you are entitled to it matey. Both lovely bikes 😊
Nice Video Ian, thank you.
Royal Enfield have certainly won the heats and minds of many a rider ( probably of a certain age!) Got to be the gloss black for me, interesting that only the mat black has a headlight visor like the Classic 350,
How the quality had improved over the years! I had a new Bullet 500 in 1993, nightmare, bits kept breaking off, got through front brake linings in a couple of hundred miles, inside of brake drum was like a cheese grater.
Got a Classic 350 now which I can't fault in any way. Will be interesting to see how the sales of the Bullet compare with the Classic, both probably appealing to an older demographic than the Hunter and Scram?
Morning Pete. I was so wrapped up unwrapping 🤔 I didn’t immediately notice the lack of headlight brow 😂. Yes, it’s nice to go out for a ride, safe in the knowledge that everything will still be on it when you return home. The sales figures will be interesting, on the fb forums, I have seen a few comments stating that although they wouldn’t trade their classics in for a Bullet, they would consider adding one to the stable. I look forward to seeing the other colours. Cheers
The seat and rear mudguard, in the gloss black, make this bike a winner for me. A big shame they don't do it with a 500 engine.
Good afternoon, yes, I prefer the gloss too. I still can’t believe RE don’t have a 500 in the pipeline, I am convinced that they won’t be happy that BSA hold the big Classic single award 😉
Maybe they will offer a 500 in the near future. Just picked up a 89 Honda gb 500 and man i love that thumper. It feels like it's idling at 50.😎
@anthonyintrieri3329 I am sure there will be a new 500 at some point in the future 🤞
Especially if BSA bring out their 650 Scrambler.
Anyway the Triumph Scrambler 400 may do it for me.
I agree about the new Triumph 400’s, I like the speed, and really like the X. Priced well too ! A BSA Scrambler, would help boost BSA numbers, but they still haven’t come up with a due date (as far as I am aware), and hopefully it won’t come with that bloody exhaust wrap 😢
Thanks Ian. The Bullet looks grand, perhaps they’ll show up in Canada by next summer! Can’t wait,
Hopefully Brett. 🤞
Second one is definitely the best ❤❤❤❤
I agree 👌 though the shiny black against the satin black does look good. Thanks James
Ooh! Nice one Ian - my favourite colour too (black/gold) 😄
Thank you Philip, you know me, I always aim to please 🤭😂
Another winner from Royal Enfield. I do like the logos on the tank and side panels and the dual seat 👍👍.
Thanks GBD. It’s going to sell well 👍
Luv the gloss black model, like the dual seat too coz Ann rides on the back a lot.
Something for the future perhaps.
Lovely addition to your channel this unveiling, nice one Ian.
Take care fella.
Thanks Neil.
Really nice bike , love the look of them 😀 👌
Yes, just nicely different enough to the Classic it’s based on 👍 Cheers
Bloody hell! Spoilt for choice again! They're both nice but I like the gloss black and chrome version, even though I own a gunmetal grey classic because I got bored of polishing alloy and chrome after riding throughout winter 😆 ,
I know where to go for a mooch and a brew for my next ride , cheers Ian 🍻
Thanks Mel, and I agree about the black gloss. I like bling, but with all the different options, I am surprised they haven’t offered a shiny one with a black engine, like on the meteor. I like the contrasting colours that would have given. Yes, go and have a chat with Roger, and a warming brew 😎😂
I cannot believe that so much fuss has been made of this bike given that it only has minor differences compared to the Classic 350. I am a huge RE fan, and have been since I bought a brand new Bullet 500 in '93, but in this case they have definitely over-promised and under delivered. Having said all that, the more options they offer, the better.
The minor differences, as you say, do give customers more options. Not everyone liked the individual seat arrangements found on the Classic, and perhaps the seat on the Bullet is more comfortable for passengers. When compared to the old 350 Bullet, you can definitely see it’s heritage, plus RE will still be able to hold the “longest motorcycle in constant production” award, even if it is a slight cheat 🤔😉 Cheers
Yes, they did go a bit overboard with the hype while launching this one. Ideally, these Bullets could be considered new variants of the Classic (or the other way round - the Classics being variants of the "Bullet", since that is the iconic badge) with some style and ergonomic differences.
That said, I do not see the Standard Maroon colour option in this video. RE hasn't yet shipped it to UK, perhaps?
The dealer only had what RE UK sent unfortunately, which didn’t include “Maroon”, but at least we got to see them in the flesh. Cheers
I just bought a Black Gold one yesterday here in Canada. A fellow ordered it, but they couldn’t take delivery when it came in on Tuesday, I stopped in on Thursday and scooped it. I’ll pick it up next week.
Congratulations Allan, although I have yet to ride the Bullet, the J series bikes are fabulous. I bet you can’t wait 😊
Well done for getting a proper look at the bikes, they do look good. 👍
Thanks Nick. Better in the flesh than on the website, though I would like to see the brighter colours. I imagine they too could be quite classy looking. 😊
That looks great, thakns for sharing. Good to see all the little details and changes 👍
Thank you, great to know you found it useful.
Bought a standard black. The black gold looks superb new but I fear the matte will fade, whereas the shiny gloss will shine for years after year!
Definitely, I am not a fan of matt colours. 👍
Great video, unwrapping this wonderful bike.
Many thanks, they both look fabulous! There are no prices on your website, do we know their retail price yet?
Thank you, nice of you to say so.
Brilliant work Ian 😊
Having sat on the bike would you say the seat would work better for taller riders? It always looked like you could sit more comfortably further back on that seat than the classic, but that's just going off pictures.
Thank you. Obviously it has more room to manoeuvre on than the Classic, and to me, just sitting there in the showroom, it felt a tiny bit higher, but I will be able to give a better idea when I get to take one out on demo, though unfortunately I don’t know when that will be.
@@ianhughesroyalenfield I'll look forward to it 😊
Ill have the standard Black please.
When I was messing with my classic 350 one or two people suggested that I may have been better off with the 500 classic.
The General concensus seemed to be it was more powerful and some said better built.
I do think that if I was to get another that I would be very tempted to get a bullet now.
Dont know why🤔
Nice to see how they wrap them up though.👍
Take care mate.
I haven’t ridden a 500 yet, but from what I have heard, the 350 J series is smoother, and not much difference in performance. The 350 doesn’t rattle itself to bits, controversial I know, it’s just what I have heard. I like the 350 Bullet, don’t see many about which is odd. Thanks for the comment 👍
The colour is fabulous, and I love the rear mudguard 👍
I wasn’t too keen on the rear mudguard until I unwrapped these. Looks good.
@ianhughesroyalenfield the rear mudguard, reminds me of the old Triumph 3TA, which I loved and is the bike that I miss most 👍
@Ainsworth-Rider Ye olde bathtub 😉😂
They look rather nice, Ian, though personally I'd go for the gloss version rather than the matte variety. A 500 version would be even nicer... Come on RE, people have been asking for that for a long time now; digitum extractum!
Morning Chris, yes I prefer shiny too, though it was a nice touch on the tank of the matt one, having that gloss paint where the badge is. I know I am like a broken record, but I am convinced RE will bring out a new 500 at some point. Cheers
I guess what is holding back the company from investing in the creation of a new 500cc platform is the dilemma of how they would position it between the 350 and 650 without cannibalizing sales from either. There is already a 650 Classic/Bullet under development, and the previous 500 single never really sold well in India, which remains the major market for the company. Perhaps they would need to figure out some product differentiation between these platforms to make a sound business case for developing a 500.
@vineethg6259 sounds reasonable, but I still think they will release a new “500” of sorts. I actually talk about that a little bit in a video I am just in the process of editing…..spooky 😂. Cheers
Whilst I fully understand and accept your perspective, I think that to concentrate on the existing largest market is miss the point. If RE want to expand their global reach, they need to make products wanted in those markets and a mid-range single would have great appeal. It's unlikely to cannibalize sales from the existing range as that range caters for two different market sectors. Personally, much as I would like to own an RE 350, its top speed is too slow for safety on Australian open roads, where our limit is 110 kph; on the other hand their 650 range weighs too much for me to cope with as I age, so I won't buy either. A 500 would be the ideal solution.
Best unboxing is always another bike.
Absolutely 😃
Nice showroom that. Maroon is my choice.
Good evening, I look forward to eventually seeing the other colours in the flesh. Yes, Roger has done a lot in the showroom, seating area is far too comfortable 😂. Cheers
saw one a few days ago it looked fantastic
They do indeed. Cheers
What a pair of beauty's similar but not completely the same as the classic obviously superb 👌👍
Thanks Mal. Different on the outside, but with the same beating heart. 🤗
How nice that would look with the Classic 350 seat. Or from another perspective, that tank and side panels on the 350 Classic.
You are not alone with that view point Hugh. Coastrider Scotland fancies a Bullet with a Classic seat. 😊
Yes, I agree ... the Classic is still the one to get.
😉 the Classic does take some beating, good to have all these options though 😃. Cheers
@@ianhughesroyalenfield Yes, so true Ian. It's good to see what RE are doing; giving us more choice than we can handle. Just recently I accompanied a mate at a Triumph dealership and they had every model in stock in a showroom you could eat your dinner off the floor. I was like a kid in a lolly shop and there were so many models I'd say YES to. I'm glad I wasn't the one doing the shopping. The marketing concept of 'we have a model for everyone' will be a win for customers and RE (not sure about the dealers). One thing I really wanted to point out is that many years ago, I hoped to buy a reliable classic bike (which were impossible to come by), and the fact that RE have made that possible, I don't have to go looking for that elusive restored machine of yesteryear. Today's modern classics offer the best of both worlds; modern reliability and timless heritage styling.
Absolutely agree Jonathan, old school looks, without all the old school problems. It’s great to know the bike is reliable enough to get you anywhere. I have had some old Brits in the past, the most reliable, and bonkers being a 1947 Norton model 18 500. Great fun when you got it going, but it was a complete b’stard to start 😂. Nah, I’ll stick to the electric foot on the RE’s 😉
I prefer the Standard with the chrome pipe & wheels & alloy casings 👍👍
Yep, with you on that Geoff. 👍
Wow beautiful new bikes there Ian. So come on then when does ur arrive 😂😂😂😊 heehee
Ha ha, not anytime soon Rachel 😂
Had a sit on one today, it's very nice but other than the slight cosmetic differences there isn't any difference to the Classic 350. The riding position with the bench seat fitted is no different to the Classic 350. Probably wouldn't swap my Classic 350 for one particularly as the rrp is more than the Classic Chrome. 🤔👍
Good evening Jonathan, the seat felt ever so slightly higher to me, but I could be wrong on that (I often am). I agree that the slight cosmetic differences wouldn’t necessarily make owners of Classic’s go running to the dealer’s to trade, but it does bring more choice for those who have yet to discover the brilliant J series platform. Cheers
@@ianhughesroyalenfield It probably felt higher because it was on the centre stand, while you were sitting on it. It would feel totally different on its wheels.
@davericketts9101 I understand your thought process, but I have sat on my Classic 350 many times on the centre stand (usually when trying to set the helmet camera up properly) 🙄😂.
Seat looks very nice 😊
It does, nice and wide for big bums 😂
May be an optical illusion, but the front mudguard doesn't look as deeply vallanced as on my classic 350.. looking forward to the maroon one.
Good morning, this prompted me to compare the photos I took on the day, with my Clementine’s. They look the same, though I can see where you are coming from on the satin black version. 👌. Yes, I look forward to seeing the brighter colours.
Very nice looking bikes. Similar to the Classic yes, but with much better paint. I was going to buy a classic next year but will wait to see if these come to the US first.
Hmm, the paint finish on my Clementine is excellent. Some of the Bullets colour choices do look classy too. Cheers
@@ianhughesroyalenfield don’t get me wrong, I love the look of the Classic. I just REALLY like the pinstripes and gloss black paint. Cool looking badge as well.
@elwood62 it definitely looks classy 😎
I have shared this on my facebook feed!
Thanks Steve. I hope others do too. 😊
I wanted to see the maroon one. That looks great.
Yes John, the maroon looks good on the website, but the dealership just had what was given. Unfortunately, he didn’t get a choice.
I want to know how it felt to do an undressing of the bullet. I will just live through you on this one!
It was like Christmas 🎄, especially making that mess all over the floor (we did clear up). Being careful with the blunt scissors was a challenge 😂, and as you can probably tell, so was talking to camera 📸, I much prefer being the other side of it. We had a fun couple of hours, making the “Getting caught taking a sneak peak” short first, which was a hoot, which took about 5 takes to get to the one we published 🙄😂. Obviously the unwrapping had to be done in one go, as there was no going back. Apart from all that, it was exciting to be able to do, what is now apparently the first, UK unwrapping of the new Bullet 350. 😎
@@ianhughesroyalenfield it was like Christmas morning and the Mrs all dressed up in sexy miss 🤶 Claus clothing. Very nice to see the bike, not sure it will sell here, but does look like a nice weekend get around
@BlakesPipes I think in time, it will sell well, but will it do as well as the Classic. Time will tell (there are a lot of l’s in that sentence 😂
Beautiful bikes, just need a 650 version !
Well Darryl, we know there is a Classic 650 coming, so who knows. Cheers
Beautiful.
Hope they come to The states
🤞 for you, but if the others do, then you can pretty much guarantee these will too. Cheers
Are the tube tyres that come with this motorcycle reliable, or puncture prone? Also I like the colour of base variant that is military black but it comes with single channel ABS, is that okay or better to go for dual channel ABS?
Good morning. The tubed tyres are the same as on my Classic 350, I haven’t suffered any issues, though some have, but I don’t think they are any worse than other tubed tyres, from any other motorcycle manufacturer (including the big boys 😉). As for the ABS, I wouldn’t know the difference, but then, I grew up on bikes without any ABS, or other electronic interference. I don’t think you will be riding fast enough to concern yourself overly about the braking capability.
@@ianhughesroyalenfield Hey thanks for the reply. Comparing these tyres with tubeless tyres , is it true that when a puncture happens these tube tyres deflate suddenly resulting in motorcycle skidding? So are tubeless tyres safer than these? Also according to you how much speed are you referring to when you say I won’t be riding fast enough to concern myself?
Thank you
@vikrampatil542 the 350’s are limited to 73mph by the ecu. It takes a while to get there, and you will find you are happier cruising around at about 55-60mph, well at least I am. As for tubed vs tubeless, if you get a puncture in a tubeless tyre, you will still lose air, but depending on the size of the hole, it will be slower. In a tubed tyre, yes the air loss is quicker, but usually you still notice in time to reduce speed, so little chance of crashing as a result. The main advantage with tubeless, is that they are easier to temporarily fix at the roadside, using a “puncture repair kit”, to get you home. This usually involves cleaning the hole, then using a glue and sticking a piece of rubber in the hole (or even a rubberised screw). There are plenty of RUclips vids showing these methods. If you do get a puncture in a tubed tyre, unless you are really handy with the spanner’s and tyre levers, you are kind of stuck. I have a roadside assistance policy, for such occasions, though in 45+ years of riding, I can only recall having one puncture, and that was in 1981 😂
Thanks a lot Ian. A nice descriptive explanation that is needed for newbies like me. Appreciate it
@vikrampatil542 anytime my friend, we all started somewhere. I was clueless in 1978 🤣
Aren't there any fingerprints in the paint work 🤔
😂, not that I noticed, but they did need a good polish. I didn’t hang around long enough to be dragged into that job too 😂
The matt black one looked very nice. They are obviously variations on the Classic etc but if RE came out with a much different update new model and engine no doubt that get flak for that. As they have with the new Himalayan.
Definitely Simon, buggered if they do, buggered if they don’t 🙄😂
@@ianhughesroyalenfield I was thinking exactly that when I posted.
I think they look brilliant want one lol
They do, I think you should “Bite the Bullet” so to speak 😂
Are these available in any other colors? Will they be brought here to the States?
Yes they come in more colours. Here is a link to their website www.royalenfield.com/uk/en/motorcycles/bullet-350/
I am guessing that if you already get the other RE models, like the Classic 350, then there is no reason why you shouldn’t also get the new Bullet.
@@ianhughesroyalenfield
Well, it took us awhile to get the Super Meteor. While I know the 350s are selling well here at the moment, I don't know how long that will last and is there room for another 350 here in the American market.
@thespeez as long as people buy them, they will keep producing and distributing them. Sounds obvious, but I am sure they have a pretty good business plan.
Just wondering if they are going to be cheaper than the Classic 🤨
That’s the burning question 🤔 Thanks James
Please make a ride review and exhaust note...
As soon as the dealer has one available for demo, I will be on it 👍 As for exhaust note, it will be the same as the Classic 350. Plenty of ride vids on mine, on my channel 😉
@@ianhughesroyalenfield Thank you so much for the reply 😎
@Dev_Rawat1987 no problem.
Looks great but for me wanted something with more bhp.
Morning. I think for that you might have to look at the upcoming 650 Classic twin for more bhp. That is unless, they release a new 500 (ish). 🤞🤔😊
@@ianhughesroyalenfield Yep! Fingers x.
I hope you cut the limiter off, so it can go faster than 70mph. 👍👍
😂 if I could, I would have done it to my Classic 350 😂
Lovely 😊
😎
Not too bad at all, both looked very similar. Is there really a need for the sari guard frame either side of the back wheel?. If that indeed is what it is.
The part where the sari guard 'grill' is likely attached to?
Maybe it is fitted for folks to have some sort of side saddles & panniers on the side.
Can both frame parts either side of the back wheel be removed? thus saving weight.
Will the back mudguard be sturdy enough and not sag?
A good few kg there that can be saved and tidy it all up. Looks like clutter to me.
All in all these Bullets are more of an 'Indian thing'.
The RE Classic has been taken to the hearts of RE enthusiasts in the UK, USA, EU, Australasia etc by now, we have here in the form of these 350 Bullets what for decades & decades has been 'conditioned' in to the bulk of the Indian motorcycle owners minds.
On the whole it is not such a big deal elsewhere as what Royal Enfield & some of its enthusiasts rave on about.
Yes it offers more >>Choice
Good morning David. Phew, that was a lengthy comment, and very interesting.
Firstly, I am a small RUclipsr who owns a Classic 350 called Clementine. We go on many adventures here in the Uk, though based on the Lancashire/ Cumbria border and with the aid of our trusty van, we have, and will, venture further afield in the future. I used to have an Interceptor 650 called Honour, but recently sold her to buy a folding caravan (so we can be in comfort on our travels).
I have been a customer of this dealership since around 1978 when the current proprietor’s dad carried out a rebore on my Suzuki AP50, and consider Roger as a friend, and I have bought several bikes from him over the years. Since he became a Royal Enfield dealer, he has been keen for me to do some demo ride reviews. It works both ways, I get content to share, and he gets free publicity, but my reviews are definitely NOT biased, if I don’t like something, I will say so, and why (just look at my Himi review). When I take demo’s out, we have to travel about 90 miles to get there, but as we have family down there, we try to coincide them with visits.
As I have been riding for 45+ years, I have owned and ridden more bikes than I can remember. I survived the late 70’s / 80’s two stroke mayhem, and Mad Max, big four cylinder era, leaving donuts on fresh tarmac for a laugh. I survived the blind idiots who apologised for not seeing me, as I lay in a crumpled mess on the floor, whilst screaming “never mind me, how’s my bike”. I survived harsh winters, where my hands were frozen to the handlebars even though my bike had those daft muffs fitted. I survived those Friday night 170+ mile rides down south to spend the weekend with my girlfriend, only to find when I eventually arrived that she was out s****ing someone else…..lesson learned !
Now don’t get me wrong, if I could afford a second bike, it would be a damn sight quicker than a RE 350, as I do still like to get a wriggle on occasionally. Ultimately, I would like the “new” Kawasaki Z900RS, but unless I win the lottery, it’ll never happen (ps, I don’t do the lottery 😂).
I don’t think the Jap bike industry is dead just yet, as there are still plenty of people willing to splash the cash for the latest tech filled motorcycle. I do think many are clones, it is a bit like when Ford introduced the Sierra, everyone though it was an ugly thing with it’s rounded bodywork, but it didn’t take long for all the other manufacturers to come out with their versions of the Sierra 🤔, and it’s the same with motorcycle manufacturers.
That’s where the likes of Royal Enfield have me hooked, I am not a fan of blacked out bikes (RE’s included) but understand that many people obviously do, and if there is a market for that style of bike, then I don’t blame the manufacturers for going for it.
I have been, and am still, convinced that RE will bring out a new version of the Bullet 500, and keenly await it’s announcement (no I don’t have any insider information), it’s just a hunch. I can’t see RE letting BSA retain the best big retro single award for too long.
I am also convinced that the “big four” will bring out small capacity retro’s. It is rumoured that Kawasaki already have one in the pipeline, utilising the engine from the new 400 crotch rocket, possibly being labelled as a Z400RS. They will be revvy little buggers, but still fun at more sensible speeds. Honda are also rumoured to be bringing out another version of the 400 Superfour. I owned one a few years ago, fantastic thing, and one of the few bikes I regret selling.
Anyway, I am rambling, thanks for your comment.
I don't get this "Bullet is too similar to Classic" saying. They are same motorcycles. Just that one has 80's styling (Bullet) and other has 60's styling (Classic). It was the case with the older UCE one's and it's the same with new J series one's.
I agree 👍
They are sach beautiful bike
They are indeed, just like the other 350’s. Thank you
I like the first one, nice colour! Grats on the new unpaid job 🤣
Thanks ice, oh the joys of retirement, I was paid in brew’s 😂
I like it Ian.
Thanks RR.
The standard looks way better than the all black version. Personally i can't stand blacked out wheels and engine on a retro bike.
So many options, to suit so many tastes. 👍
@@ianhughesroyalenfield i agree. Options ARE good. I wish royal Enfield offered chrome or aluminium wheels for the int 650 & conti gt. The " black magic" gt with silver aluminum wheels looked awesome 😎
Every time I see photos of the Interceptor with the black alloy wheels, I really can’t make my mind up whether they suit it or not 🤔. Maybe black with polished rims, oh, I don’t know 🤷😂
Personal opinion but I prefer the looks to the classic.
Yes, but I think the Bullet will sell well, just like all the others. Cheers
Hi nice bikes and nice music who is it
I think it’s called Kurt by Cheel. It is in the Copyright free RUclips collection.

I was expecting at the end an announcement that it’s your Bullet Ian, Crewe could add an extra £200 quid to the price saying ‘Unwrapped by Ian Hughes’ 😉
😂 if only I was that famous 😂. When I saw photos of them, I wasn’t sure, but, I actually quite like the Bullet. Just gives another option.
I don’t understand why RE did this, but it’s not my money on the line so…
Just my thoughts, but RE are going for the award of a motorcycle being in constant production, with the target of 100 years coming up. You can definitely see the Bullet’s heritage here, even if it is based on the J series platform, and in particular, the Classic 350. Plus it does give potential customers more options. Cheers
still i think classic look better
Yes, but it does give perspective buyers another option, mainly in the seating department. Cheers
@@ianhughesroyalenfield I wonder if the bullet seat will be a direct fit on the classic?
@bw2442 one would think it would, being basically the same frame set up. Whether the petrol tank shape where it meets the seat is also different, is hard to tell without getting the spanner’s out. 😉
All of them should have knee pads.
…but not everyone likes knee pads. At least leaving them off gives people the option !
They're practical to not scratch the paint.
@frankmarkovcijr5459 yes, but not everyone likes them. We aren’t all the same 😊
