Nice little rural ride Ian, with a bit of sunshine thrown in. I have their waterproof jacket, which is indeed truly waterproof. (I have the trousers as well, but they've become a bit tight lately for some reason 🤔) Nice one to watch, cheers.
They seem to produce some good stuff at a decent price, which is always good for a tight git like me! 😀 But I wasn't impressed with their gloves to be honest - just didn't feel right somehow. Yeah, if they've shrunk in the rain, it must've happened to a lot of my lower garments!! 😅😅 Yeah, if they
Love those autumn colours this time of year Ian it's the temps I'm not so keen one 😉a nice sunny ride out and the jacket looks pretty good certainly one to consider and check out . Well done and that drone has proved very useful already with the fly around to check out the jacket whilst on the bike really good . Cheers 👌👍
Thanks Mal. Yes, Autumn is my favourite time of year (apart from the odd and rare sunny summers day 😊), the colours are stunning. Fortunately, I have the Keis heated gear plug fitted on both bikes, so will be toasty on rides 😎. As for the jacket, it’s not something I would normally consider, but I was quite surprised as to have comfortable it was to wear.
Not a bad looking jacket Ian, I've got a fleece lined black Levi casual jacket, it's not a bike jacket but it's ok for short rides, problem is it's short and rides up at the back sat on the bike . That one you're wearing has a decent torso length and I can see on the video of you on the bike , it still covers the small of your back sat on the bike all the way down which is important for keeping the heat in . Interesting review, Cheers Mel
Thanks Mel. A decent fit, so nowhere for the cold wind to find its way in. Back in the day, we didn’t worry about protective motorcycle clothing. In the summer, just chuck the Wrangler or Levi on, and play silly buggers on the twisties 😂. I think this is certainly a step up from that 😂
Cold Kidneys😂.My Grandfather used to get HIS wife to sew mutton cloth, wool into correct shape & zip or velcro into jacket.Later got back support from Chemist to keep back warm then they finally started making jackets that dropped down lower at back some more than others.
Morning Ian, a nice looking jacket as you say it’s more of a summer jacket but not a bad price, I love autumn the colour’s are fabulous but you definitely have to watch the road surface 😂 fingers crossed for some good days to get out on the bike 🤞all the best buddy 👍
Morning Ian. Glan to see you out and about on Clementine with loverly roads/weather on the day. Nice design jacket. Suitable to Wales weather? proberly not. Summer gear only with under clothing to stop wind penetration i think. Until the next time. Ride safe. Mike (sunny wales)
Looking for an air/mesh summer jacket, this spring i noticed all the usual suspects wanted well in advance of £100. Then i saw the Biker Gear Australian company were doing a version at below £60 in various colours. I chose a very fancy florescent green one wanting to be seen. I was blown away with its quality when it arrived and its now my jacket of choice, you don't have to spend a fortune to get decent kit.
Definitely Ian. Much like the motorcycles, bigger brands need to stop hiking up their prices, thinking their name sells. Buyers are catching on 😉 Cheers
Morning James. They did want me to join their affiliate program, which gave me commission, and I presume a discount to buyers, but I didn’t want to totally sell my soul, I wanted to remain neutral 😎
Hi Ian, The jacket actually looks pretty good, especially as a light weight jacket with a bit of protection. They have no sizes to fit me, though. I was looking at the heated gloves on their website and I couldn't figure out the difference between the different models. Do you have any insight about that, or a way to ask them? I'm riding this winter and I'm trying to figure out all of the gear - actually testing what I already have tomorrow morning when the temps will be in the 30's (Fahrenheit, of course). Still, no heated grips or gloves yet - I just haven't been able to decide. Thank you for the video! FG Rides in Pennsylvania, USA
Hi there. I don’t really know anything about the company other than this jacket they sent for review. As for winter gear. I can highly recommend the Kies heated jacket, and socks. I have the connector hard wired to the bike battery. As for gloves, the RST Paragon 6 are brilliant in my opinion. You get what you pay for at the end of the day. I have done reviews on these :- ruclips.net/video/t1TdSoUNV-4/видео.htmlsi=WEiCDGdspS4Zv0-3 ruclips.net/video/UKPt95S3ZsA/видео.htmlsi=e-UEGaoAafBHp7Fz Thanks for watching 👍
Difficult to assess its true protection, according to the website it states ce2 armour in the shoulder and elbow but makes no reference to protective level of the denim.
This is true….but I have looked at the Oxford website details of the “Hardy” jacket I have, and the new version of the “Montreal”. They don’t say anything about the protective properties other than the elbow and shoulder pads, either. I would suggest that it is more suited to bimbling around the lanes, rather than on a very fast road though 😉
@SouthWest-jj8yu fair enough. Though being old school, I cut my teeth wearing a Wrangler or Levi jacket, jeans and trainers while razzing round the lanes on Honda 400/4’s and Yam RD400. This is far superior 😉.
Thank you Ian. I always enjoy your videos. Beautiful riding jacket!
Thank you, appreciated 👍
