I have a Rolesor Sub. I originally wanted SS, but all I found was two tone yellow gold black dial. It compliments jeans and a tee shirt. I’ve worn it to weddings. It really wears well with almost anything and gives a certain style that wouldn’t be the same with the steel. Both are fantastic timepieces. I was super excited to see your video comparing them. Great job!
I wear my 116613LN daily for work, parties, dinners, swimming even take it to the gym. The steel sides are just as tough and I clean mine with cape cod every 6 months looks brand new and hasn’t lost an ounce. Can’t believe the steel Sub second hand is only 2-3K less, crazy hobby! Love Rolex 👑
Totally agree, now that I have a TT in black and an SS , I find I wear the TT everywhere, at the gym, in jeans, in a suit, and especially when traveling..it just does everything perfectly.
Not all 116613LN Triplock Crowns have the 3 dots with the center being larger, some have all the dots being the same size (just like the Steel Model in the video).
Yup….the two tone Sub would be my choice, if I wanted a Stainless Steel diver, I’d definitely buy the Sea Dweller 43mm before buying a S.S Sub the Sea Dweller is 100% a Sub killer if you have a 7.0” wrist or larger. 👍
@greatchalla3799 Sub killer, that's a very subjective statement. The Stainless sub is the standard not only for dive watches, but for sports watches period. Omega is a bulky, niche watch at best.
Ok so yes I am getting older, BUT I couldn't afford a TT when young. That said, I really am starting to think that the TT Sub in black is much more of a do-it-all watch than the SS. Similar to most DJ's, it can easily do double duty as a jeans & t-shirt and also a dress watch, while being more masculine than a DJ.
I must (am) getting old as two tone watches are getting far more appealing to me.. With respect " lunette Noir" is for a calendar model in black. A lunette is a small opening in a vaulted roof..
I have a question if the steel submariner one have any traces of gold in the watch or on bezels, hands, dial or any traces of gold I'm Muslim wanted to know before buying.
Like both,i think its only a personal choice,i prefere the steel gold, make more elegant, sporty but classy, but if i see somebody with the steel model i will apreciate it the same..you can send anyone
I own and prefer the SS Submariner. Two-tone watches just scream old man watch. And as an everyday wearer, the two-tone polished center link limits rugged use due to scratching.
@Kingorji You can believe me if you want or not. I dont need to prove anything to anyone. But I assure you I wear my 116610ln Subnariner as a do anything, go anywhere watch. Now, this is not the only Rolex or luxury watch I own, if that matters. The ceracrome bezel is extremely scratch resistant and the mat finished braclet hides scratches well. I work out 4 times a week, go to the shooting range and use it as my daily driver. So it gets used, I'm not stupid and would not try to damage it on purpose, but it's not a safe queen.
Nothing screams "old man watch" as much as the SS. Every grandpa I have seen wears boring steel or one color watches weather it's leather or steel. Two tones are more colorfull and more for younger people
@samu0207 OK, no one gives a crap about granda Pa's watch trope. Stick to facts, 1) you can't get a SS Rolex sports watch. 2) A stainless Datejust 41 sells for more than a 2 tone on the used market. Stainless steel models are in greater demand because they are clean and modern and don't scream 80s. That's is exactly why an SS Daytona sells for more than the 2-tone Daytona. The comment really triggered you! Find a safe space, your therapy blankie, and get a grip on relaity.
@@rafaeloliva6425 you calling someone names and saying that THEY are the ones who need therapy afterwards? I refuse to believe that you're older than 12. Knowing that.. I will sink to your level of intelligence. Your mother should have swallowed you years ago buddy. SS watches are the most boring watches in history and they all look like Seiko's. You would spare a lot of money by just buy one of those instead. Those are your level of watches anyway
I have the money for both. Although I would only purchase one. TT and SS. I have a friend who works at Rolex who can get me either watch in 30 days. I can’t decide!?!? I am 41 yrs old married with 2 kids. I am not a flashy guy so I automatically want the SS. But I like the TT look. I just don’t know if I would feel too self conscious in it since it’s more flashy. I don’t like attention. I like to be under the radar. I would also only wear it on the weekends due to my job and area I work at. Im not planning on purchasing multiple Rolex watches. So I want to make the right choice. I like the TT look but I think I would feel more comfortable in the blending original classic SS. Any thoughts? Thanks in advance
Tacky? Wearing any Rolex attracts attention. Blue dial is a bit over the top the black two tone(Bumblebee) is fantastic on the wrist different class to SS I own both and the two tone gets more wear
I own the two tone, it’s an every day stunning watch that doesn’t scream loud like the blue dial. Nice review.
It’s a craving watch. I get lots of compliments on just how classic it looks.

I've always had a preference for the two tone sub. Just give it a little more character for me and it's not too much gold😊
When old, flash gold. Really beautiful.

SS Sub for me, the two-tone works great on the new GMT-Master II though

Is it a bad idea to trade a two tone for a stainless steel model?
Was offered the 2-tone sub a couple months ago by my AD. Lowkey regretting not picking it up right now :/
Should have. Its better looking
Great video, thank you for sharing. 👍
Nice video, I have the new blusey ❤

Bezel is 120 clicks, but is NOT bi-directional for a good reason on a diver watch.
if I said that I am sorry....I must have been thinking of the GMT.....sometimes words just slip..... :o)
Agreed. That is the most basic information and it was missed twice! Should have caught it while editing.

Rugged use? Lets be honest you arent using the submariner for rugged use.

The two tone is a used car trader watch.

ROLEX SUBMARINER GOLD AND STEEL SUPER WATCH
16613ln is prettier than both.
