After just building the gunship, it's interesting to see the difference between that and the atat. The gunship is a stunning replica (the atat is as well) and that's kind of its identity. Whereas with this, I think it's the 'perfect' lego set. Form meets function meets playability meets displayability. You can really see that there was a decade of work put into this. Not hating on the gunship (it's still my favorite set) but it's incredible to see lego build something arguably 'perfect'
While most Lego youtubers where still scratching to find more details about this set during the weekend.... ....David was actually building it.. hahahaha! That's a badass set, will be getting one for sure!

I’m glad I saw this video! I just recently bought this off some guy on Facebook and it’s missing the bag 1s, bag 2s and one of the bag 3s so I’m glad to see that I can build everything else while I wait for the replacement parts to come in
This is so cool! While I admit I probably won’t be buying this set due to just how exorbitantly expensive it is for my budget I am still in awe of its size and scale. It truly is magnificent! Even the unboxing experience was awesome and you can really see the love and attention that went into crafting this set! Watching this video helped give me a vicarious appreciation for its technical complexity. It looked like a really challenging and stimulating build…. Also, the sped-up sounds of the boxes being opened and the bricks clicking together was immensely satisfying!
Putting all the colors in the Set, because AT ATs are so colorful inside... Yes, that would Not have happened 30 years ago! Even the price, with respect to Inflation the price Just skyrocketed for auch a Set. Definitely amazed by Legos Development
Really nice time lapse video David. Such an enjoyable watch. I'm impressed with the construction of the legs and ability to articulate them with the tool. That's very cool. I already have the huge mini figure scale RichBoyJhae ATAT MOC and whilst it's far from perfect I still prefer it's over looks to the Lego version. Yep it's unstable but as a display piece it looks really good with more snot technique.
It's really awesome!!!! Unfortunately where I live (Brazil), this Lego costs the equivalent of 6 months of work. Congratulations, it's a beautiful construction.
@@thee0581 The NES TV with the scrolling screen was a pain to build, it's such a cool mechanism, but the number of tiny pieces you have to stack and place is ridiculous
I’d only buy it for the building part but then where do I put it afterward. On a shelf as a display? Really got nowhere to store something like that once it’s put together.

I really wish they would come out with a masters set for the Mandalorian (kom’rk) star fighter, the two sets released for them are at like a 4th of the scale they actually were in the tv show. Those craft were Able to carry tons of soldiers in an underneath rack and had a full cockpit and crew quarters. The Lego ones have barely enough room for 2 soldiers
Impressive how much color they can bring into a set like this... Also stickers for this price is a no go. Realy sad because the set looks great from the outside.
Lego is famous for craming all the colours of the rainbow in their sets, in places where you can't see them...looks terrible. For this price, it's a no go
@@nfspeedy2 nothing, exept for the chrome plated and pearl effect colours, monolithic colours vary in price so slightly (1-1.5$ per Kg 2.2 lbs)) it would be no more than 5$ worth of material cost.
Looks a very different build process to the 2020 AT-AT, which whilst that is fine nobody wants just a rehash of that build just bigger. They seem to have done a good job reducing the repetition of building the 4 legs by incorporating part of them into the body. Very tempted to get this and do a MOC with the 3 snowspeeders I have.
Don’t know about you guys, but I think there’s just too many studs showing. Personal preference but I think the snot technique would look way better, (in most areas). Other than that, this set is wonderful.
You raise a good point. with the size and free space in this model i bet you’ll see a ton of mods. i am already thinking of adding a motorized lift for Luke like the Brickvault version

the upgrade on the neck is beautiful,,,and this is just 1 thing out of size, scale, interiors, accuracy, etc,,,what a jewel

The gunship was a great experience untill you had to fill in the gaps on the side of the wings, those things were a pain to insert

Unfortunately it’s just a tad small to be considered mini fig scale. But it’s pretty damn close and more than we could ask for
The At-At is 22 meters high and a human can be up to 2+ meters high, its pretty minifig scale i would say
A minifig scale AT-AT would be about 12.3 inches tall.

I'd honestly get like 3-4 current minifig AT's for a squad than one huge gray tower.
lego is one of those things that dont get ruined over time, like, literally everything else
Lucky for us, that the "skin" of this AT-AT is gray from the movie. If not, Lego has made it also so colorful like his inside.
Now I wanna see someone do a small stop motion idea with this set. Absolutely beautiful set.

I built the godhead version of this years ago. I hope it stands up better
