this set is a true work of art, and a worthy tribute to both legos and star wars alike. it brings me no small amount of sadness to know that i will likely never have the opportunity to own this item, a testament to two of my most formative memories, but it comes with a similar level of joy just knowing it exists.

Is it just me or is the most satisfying thing about watching these videos is getting to the point where the build finally takes shape and starts to truly look like the final product?
It’s honestly painful. Like I feel as if I was just repeating the same things over and over and over and it wouldn’t end. They went way overboard with the details it’s crazy
I spent 800 bucks on this ._. And then i installed LED-strips into the drive-exhaust, so it lights up blue! Now i have probably the most expensive lamp i will ever have!

The misses got this for me on our anniversary when it got released. I still have to build it. Its sat along side my UCS Star Destroyer which is still waiting to be built. Never have 4 girls as they take up all your Lego building time :)
I definitely think this is going to be my next build. Currently working on excavator. I just found my hobby at 61! I still like to stay busy at work and play.
I drove 500km from my city to Rome to have it. Went in our capital, buy it (at a major prize because it was the last one) and immediately come back to build it. Now this is the first thing that i see when i wake up. Best item bought of my life ❤.

The technic core to this (ie the Bag 1's) is a feat of mastery of LEGO architecture. Speaks volumes to how unchanged the original 10-yr old frame remains in comparison to this.

LEGO is like a religion..you admire the Patience one has to complete their models or you adhere and feel the Force Within once you have completed one for you to admire..i install Leds in them ... makes them stand out

I bet we would all feel emotional putting this together especially when unboxing. I could just hear the voices of the characters speak those iconic lines about this beautiful ship. 🥲

Legos aren't for kids, because kids can't afford to buy these sets on their own (unless they have very generous parents). I'm almost 20, have a full time job, and save most of my money, yet I still can't justify spending $800 on a Lego set as much as I may want this

dude the four boxes inside the actual box are bigger than most lego sets
And the main box is in the top 10 biggest boxes!
Putting together 10143 Death Star II is no easy feat so far I can only imagine the man hours that went into this
