Great input from Keim. One thing I will say, is that since we drafted Howell, every QB we had since felt like a placeholder just waiting from him to develop.
Facts most fans wanted him in since week 13 instead of Carson because we knew Taylor wasn’t our best shot at a playoff win

Howell has all of the things you can't teach and his deficits are all things that improve organically with experience. I was stoked when we drafted him and am really excited to see him grow as our QB. Our window of success has just started to open. If we can improve the OL and at LB the next couple of years I think we're a real contender. Not to mention, the suffocating cloud of despair, that is Dan Snyder, is finally gone.
That was a solid interview question about Howell. Literally everyone watching the team knew he was the guy since last year. For some goofy reason, media at large had just dismissed him entirely. It was baffling to all of us. The man is a straight baller.

I as a Commanders fan am really REALLY looking forward to this game. It is the perfect test for our team, it will let us know EXACTLY where our offense and defense is at this year. Look, we have come from behind in two straight games...that is NOT something we are used to here. EB had the offense believing that they CAN score if they need to, and our defense has made adjustments in game to start really putting opposing teams QB's under pressure. One thing I have loved about Howell since before even preseason, every time he threw an errant pass, be it a pick or just bad ball...EVERY TIME his next few passes were lasers. The kid so far (fingers crossed) has been UNFLAPPABLE. Like seriously it is insanely odd for a QB with only three starts under his belt to be that calm and collected!! He still holds the ball a bit too long for me and can stare down some throws...but that is coachable IMO. Our defense has NOT started out well in either game, I am still waiting to see them have a full game....BUT...they have adjusted and been a terror for opposing QBs, pair that with our secondary capitalizing off said QB pressures has been awesome to watch. I am not saying we are world beaters here; I know our lumps are going to come, but if they can continue to build, continue to gel, and continue to buy into what the coaches are laying down then we have a real chance of not being an automatic W that opposing teams put on their schedules!!
Now, on to their name!! Look, I grew up a Redskins fan, and loved them and was proud of our name. But...and it is a big BUT, when I had to travel to visit my grandparents in AZ I was told to NOT bring my team gear with me, as they lived right outside of a reservation and they HATED the Redskins, the Braves, the Indians...anything that used their likenesses. So, I get it, and understand that once the money spoke it was game over. The WFT days were horrible...that was not good in any way shape or form!! I am a Naval vet, so I do not hate the Commanders, but I do not love it either. I would say that if our new ownership group wants to rename the team go for it but do it right. Let the public vote on it, make it open and fun, give it a gameshow type attitude and make a spectacle of it so it erases our memory of what "HE WHO SHALL NOT BE NAMED!" did last time. And, as John said with the Wizards....we HATED THAT NAME when they changed from the Bullets!! I remember vividly! I am 47 and the amount of loathing towards that name was scary! But you know what happened, the Wizards made the playoffs the next year and all that name hate went away. It’s still not a good name...but I can live with it. The same thing could happen to the Commanders. Start with back-to-back non losing seasons, then make the playoffs, then win a playoff game....just be competitive and a well-run team and the majority of fans will be very happy considering the last 24 years under "HE WHO SHALL NOT BE NAMED!"...lol!!!
Well said, but it's still relatively early in the season. We will get better as the season goes barring injuries, we'll put together many full games💯.

As a skins fan I’m not going in thinking we’ll lose , but I know it’ll be tough to win. We can’t make any mistakes because the bills put up points. It was nice to see that we put up points last week , and I hope that continues. I do believe that we’re trending up though.
I like the analysis on the Commanders. As good as they are, they haven't run into the buzz saw known as 'da Bills. Go BILLS!
Commanders are being overlooked by many. The nfc east has them as the 4th best. Sam is some qb drafted in the 5th round. People had them pegged as picking in the top 5 of the draft. Chase Young is a bust. So on an so on. Im not surprised their 2 n 0. They are gonna beat alot of teams that people never would of guessed they would this year.
The commanders have always been just a qb away. Maybe little more help on the oline , but we can compete with any team. I think we’ve shown that throughout the years.

Everyone keeps making a big deal out of Washington having 4 first round picks on the D-line. They are good, I'm not knocking them, but most starting D-linemen in the NFL are first round picks, that's why they go early in the draft. The Bills have 3 of their 4 starting D-line first round picks, Floyd, Oliver, and Rousseau (not to mention Von Miller when he returns).

Mix of EB, Sam Howell (wish Taylor was still here as a backup) but then also the fan base, Dan Snyder is gone and we finally have hope. You can see it in the players also

Allen > Payne. Only reason Payne's numbers are good is because Allen is getting double every play. Payne is no where close to Donald.

As a Redskin fan everyone better keep that same energy when we do lose because it's coming sooner or later. Just make sure we continue to support and rally behind them. We need to be consistent every week. We cannot keep starting out slow we need to start the game the way we have been ending it. We start out slow with Buffalo it's almost a guaranteed L. If we win, I'm sure the rest of the NFL will be put on notice, but if we lose, I just hope it's a close L and not a blowout.

I don’t dislike commanders because Dan was involved with it, I dislike it because it sounds like an xfl name. Also because they said they were going to take fan opinion into account and fans overwhelmingly picked red wolves (me included) and commanders was almost last on every poll I saw but they went with it anyway

I was a big supporter of Washington becoming Red Tails in honor of the Tuskegee Airmen.
I mean Washington has barely survived 2 of the worst teams in the league. Hell Arizona is actively tanking for Caleb Williams. Still suspect on D in the back 7, as well as the O Line IMO. Aint messing with Dallas or Philly.

What's funny is Denver was one of the media darling picks right up until the commanders took them down by steam rolling them in the 2nd half. Also the Cardinals game was in the rain and had some wacky turnovers. Remove the turnovers and they would've won by 14+.
Meanwhile the Bills beat an awful Raiders team and lost to Zach wilson...😂.
@@RedMage117that cardinals game had maybe a drive or 2 played in the rain. A majority of the game was pleasant weather.
We don’t like Commanders bc they asked us for names and they chose what they wanted. Of course some people never would have like any other name except Redskins but Commanders is a horrible name! I do believe success would help but I won’t buy anything with that name. The name makes no sense to me even as a veteran.

It should be “The Burgundy & Gold” or just “The Skins” Freakin no brainer. And The Commanders just sucks period. Unimaginative generic arena league name. It’s not just Dan.
As a commanders fan... Im nervous. This is a game where we must play mistake free football & rely on our front 4 to pressure Allen and hopefully force him to make mistakes. I do think it could be close... and "any given sunday" but Im super nervous. The Eric Bienemy/Sam Howell factor has me excited plus a sold-out home crowd. Bold prediction: Wash 24 Buffalo 21
Not a bad prediction. Could easily turn into a defensive struggle. And we saw how they fell to the jets.
