I had the privledge to met Eden in Clarksdale MS where she was one of the presenters at a boogie woogie piano clinic. She played a reception at the Delta Blues Museum and a gig at the Ground Zero Blues Club, both in C'dale. At both events, she was amazing. And she is a down home person, approachable by fans. It was nice to finally learn of her friend and mentor, Boogaloo Ames. He lives on in her music. She honors him every time she plays. Way to go, girl!

Very inspiring Eden. Proof positive that music transcends barriers - reminds me of the early days at Muscle Shoals studios. You should be very proud to have been chosen to keep this American tradition going. Makes me wanna listen and play music all day. Shine a light!

Boogaloo was my uncle, my father's brother, he played in a band in Detroit. One day he and his girlfriend decided to more where to? he didn't say. His sister had to send the police down there to find him plenty of times. My father and auntie would drive to Mississippi on a humble and find him. We loved him so much, but his music was his first love. We have old pictures, pictures of him when he was close to death. When we talk about who you all call Boogaloo, we called him Brother all we could do is laugh and smile..

Hello Xavier, that's amazing! I'm doing some research and would love to speak with you about your uncle's history. Do you know how and when he got the name Boogaloo?

As a native of Greenville, Miss., I have something to say that ought to be known. Eden and her family really did not pay much attention to the "color" lines long present. I personally know how kind Eden is as a person, regardless of color or status. Her present sucess is no surprise and makes me truly happy to see it come to Eden. Way to go!! Hard work, sharing, and caring won out. James "caveman" Reardon saw the whole thing and congratulate Ms. Brent!
