I had no idea that there were alternative versions published in the UK until I started listening to 2 Legs a couple years ago. Thanks to you guys for bringing me into the 21st century!
Hi Andy 👋 enjoyed chat with Beatleytone. Will be seeing Beatles 64 in a week. Yes picked up rsd releases on Sunday with no crowds! Cheers from the playhouse!
1:00:52 I was 14 when I watched the Beatles on the Ed Sullivan Show with my whole family. I still tear up a bit when I see them sing I Want to Hold Your Hand. That was my song and it made me a Beatles fan for life. I also remember my dad driving me to the local record store in Jacksonville, NC to buy my very first album “Meet the Beatles”. Still have it and all the albums they released in the U.S. in the 60s. The recent film was very nice to see but Peter Jackson’s 8 hours is the gold standard for me.
@@Stickermania2853 I realize that Frank but a) it was only a clip and b) still could’ve been more prominent in the doc overall rather than ‘She Loves You’
Darn, missed this live--I usually am busy at that time. I was somewhat disappointed with the Beatles 64 special--too much time showing interviews with fans--some of which made me cringe. And some of those interviewers like Murray the K were annoying! I'd rather see more interviews and film of the Beatles themselves and more current stuff with Paul and Ringo. And of course more music performance would have been nice too. (I would think the film would be confusing to younger people unfamiliar with Beatles history. Two of the best introductory documentaries I watched earlier this year on RUclips for fans new to the Beatles history, music and impact are "How the Beatles Changed the World" and "What Made the Beatles the Greatest Band of All Time" by Amplified. Gives it all context culturally.) Also I had watched Get Back in 2022 before I saw Let It Be this year so found that to be a let down as Get Back was so much more detailed and cohesive.

Elaine Kim is the one singing the cover of "All My Loving", it's listed in the credits. She's doing an indie-style vocal like Eilish.
Andy, the documentary does show a clip of The Beatles performing ‘I Want To Hold Your Hand’ on the 1st February 9th Ed Sullivan show. Frank

@ I think the producers thought that ‘She Loves You’ would resonate more with the young crowd more than ‘I Want To Hold Your Hand’. Frank

I was wondering if “ The Music of Lennon & McCartney”, a 1965 TV Special, will have a remaster ?
