Thank you for the awesome coverage! 🙏 Driftmaker was due for an update so new versions are now available. This should improve compatibility and performance issues on the latest versions of major DAWs for Windows and OSX. Any problems, definitely get in touch... Enjoy!
@@SirNotAppearing very sorry to hear that. Indeed some plugins had suboptimal performance issues in the past but we are constantly working to improve the framework. first of all i really like the your driftmaker with its glitchy style! and thanks a lot for the free version:) but my problem is that it produces a loud white noise..am i doing something wrong?
I have FL studio 20, but I can't get Driftmaker to install properly... I keep getting errors when trying to add it as a new plug-in, is there a proper way to install it that I'm unaware of? It looks like it would be a great plug-in, but I can't get it to work

Freakshow is amazing... I love their 'steal' option for the plugins too, it's hilarious. Absolutely fascinating stuff.

You’re absolutely right! This is the best 😁 There are so many plugins and VSTs out there, but who needs another reverb, compressor or saturation knob. It’s the chaotic and different plugins that get my attention and evidence of a truly creative developer. In fact, I think all the major vendors have similar high quality traditional effects that come with your DAW or bundle. They’ve nailed it. Awesome selection of plugins! Never heared of Puremagnetik before this video, they got some really cool plugins! Also, what piano did you use in the PianoVerb Demo - it has such a nice creamy quality to it.
My dad has an old piano, hundreds of years old, with a crack in the big metal plate in the back (I can’t remember what it’s called atm). Anyway, the result is that its sustain is much longer than any other piano I’ve ever played. The pianoverb reminds me of that.
Wow for the first time ever I've watched a video claiming 'great free plugins' and actually found all of them useful and therefore downloaded each of them. Great stuff thanks so much.
It's great to see Puremagnetik getting some attention! I don't know how well known they are, but their plugins are really unique and versatile for the money.
Going by the photo at the be gaining, you must be a pro model too! Heh, anyhow, thank you for these interesting paint brushes for our sound! Eno would be pleased. Imagine if he had access to this in the 70's? Subbed and liked.
Awesome, a few I haven't tried yet here. TOP TIP: chuck your plugins into VCV (you'll need to buy the Host module but that's very reasonably priced). Now randomly modulate everything using modular tricks. Emergence goes absolutely batshit doing this! My recommendation for a messed up free plugin that nobody has heard of would be R-mem - it's almost unusable on a track but makes really weird noises instantly. 👍
Just wanted to throw my experience in here too. I have probably more than half of Puremagnetik's plugins, free and paid - have been collecting them for over a year now - and I've never had a problem getting them to work in Ableton Live 10 Suite. Aside from getting the Github projects, exporting from Cabbage, and not keeping the CSD file and "includes" images folder with the .dll or .vst3 file, which was my own fault. By the way, yes, you can get any of the newest Lore series plugins for free from their Github too! You just need to download Cabbage (an IDE for programming audio software), import the project file of whatever plugin you want, then export it in the format you want. You'll have to be sure whether it's an instrument or effect plugin before doing so, or you could break the plugin that way too.
The fact you referenced Lil Pump's catchphrase as "The thing kids say this days" just made me feel like I have no rights to call myself a boomer and I thank you for it
Good morning, Cameron! Nice work! I hadn't heard of the first 3 of these, and all of them are really cool! Thanks for the great demos, too. Have a fantastic new week.
1:27 This straight up sounds like some kind of backwoods New Zealand or Scotland dialect or something As for my suggestion: Surge XT it's pretty unique as such an extensive free synth that also supports different tunings, it's got a crazy load of presets too, it's open-source, even has dark-mode and scaling, seems well optimized CPU and bug-wise in FL, it's generally amazing. (Not necessarily weird btw., just unusual)

Maybe, I'm getting this wrong… But I think I recall that, if you already own Reason and the "Radical Piano" Rack Extension, you'd have a quasi-free "FX plug-in" that does just what the PianoVerb does. Well, it may not have the typical FX controls, but you can run audio into the piano to let it reverberate through its virtual strings. And I guess, the way you set up the piano will affect the way that audio comes out again.
