Definitely helpful! Also, so true for 8:00 central birds. Everyone, even the enemy team, forgets about them like 80% of the time. I usually play scaldbro, and would feel guilty taking all those birds for myself when I know our glaceon or gengar would benefit for it more, but at the end, better me than the enemy team getting it right?
Also, I know it's more a discussion on the map, but it would've been great if info with scoring if you win Rayq was added here. My thoughts on scoring with rayquaza is it's not always worth it to push a score even if you get the rayq shield. Example is if you're on a huge lead from the enemy team. If most of the enemy team are back in their base and trying to defend from scores, it's sometimes better if you just go back to base to defend as well for possible last minute push. This is especially applicable to squishy attackers and speedsters. I've had matches where my team or the enemy team was on a lead, got rayquaza, and tried to push for scores, but all of the team ended up dying and their enemy got to score easily instead because of that. The rayq shield is not only for scoring, but you and your team can also use it for a better defense, extra HP, and shield if when the enemy team wants to hardpush your goals. Idk if that makes sense, and i know this was long lol
I totally agree on your thoughts about after getting ray. Like if my team is in the lead then it makes more sense to defend rather than push for extra scores especially if your trying for mid base. Its so easy to break the ray sheild imo and its not worth getting KOed over. So many of my games end badly bec people decide to do that final push. They forget that the Ray shield doesnt work like the Zap insta score.
Very helpful guide. Been guilty of forgetting the 8 min Altaria farm, but this helped me see how important of an objective it is.

Krashy this video is honestly a amazing and thank you for spending your time putting the effort into make this guide/advice
Absol is such a top tier solo character. People assume “oh absol goes in the center” and he can, but he doesn’t need to. I take Feint going to jungle and jump but i try to focus on getting Slash as soon as possible because it helps punish invaders so well. After that you just try to farm altarias and jungle and be present in top lane, maybe bottom if they have a mime in bottom lane. Absol was especially good in top lane when Natus were a thing, because he could feint and slash a whole set and that was pretty reliable secure, especially since feint curved with natus (kinda). I haven’t played since Natus were banished though so i can’t talk much more about top lane.
I can definitely talk about bottom lane though, because from the get-go, i knew that invasions were going to be a big part of metagames, with the buffs as far forward as they are. I adopted the strat of getting level 3, then maybe taking one or two creeps, then maybe hitting the blue buff a few times to help my jungle’s rotation as well as scare off invaders. If i’m not taking buffs, i can scuffle with invaders until the real jungler shows up and we confirm the kill. Remember, lots of people assume absol’s the jungler, so if i hang around blue buff waiting for an invader, they’ll just think ‘oh i can take the buff, he should be hitting the buff not me’ and that’s when the real jungler comes and it’s a 2v1 and usually an early kill either for myself or my jungler. The only problem is i might leave too much farm bottom to be stolen, so i sometimes leash the bunny close to the jungle and kill it as i wrap around to blue buff.
I enjoy rotating with Pursuit way too much to recommend Night Slash, for those who are asking, especially if i’m going bottom lane. Roaming from bottom with 2 levels each minute is a great way to grab Pursuit+ which helps boost you during rotations and makes positioning for a backstab during a team fight somewhat doable if you want to sort of poke and chase them. I like taking Psycho cut because it has some poke and it also helps basic attacks clear altarias better.
Thank you Krashy, this helped me out a lot. Its a lot different from the old map, and I kind of figured it out from time but I for sure wasnt roaming enough.
i've been playing lots of Crustle since this map arrived. the mobility with shell smash really helps and it can input some damage as well and you can almost always score and run around the map.
It's really painful to see my teammates completely abandoning lanes whenever there's no objective around and then an enemy swoops in and scores 50 points. I hope more people watch this video. 😁

I'm constantly pinging goals to defend, majority of the people just want to roam around and fight random fights. Leaving goals undefended can lose you the match and people dont seem to understand that. Hopefully more people see this video.

Ive been playing the defender role. I just wish that pick ban phase can arrive more quickly. I tested a full sp def and full def and these things works when you are in those situations. I dont care about my damage output… i can more on hindering my opponents enough for my carry to kill and snowball.
Exactly!! It will bring counter items/mons into the meta...for example if the enemy team is mostly sp attack you would go assualt vest on all rounders n tanks
i think it could also be added:
if you are a character that can push enemies back with a move (Horn Leech, Surf Blast, Surf Bro, High horsepower, Surf Mew, XScissor, Dragon Rush, drill peck, Block, Machamp's unite, Talon's unite) you should be near Regieleki, specially if your team is pushing it in.
Leaf Tornado and Power swap are also great for a Regieleki push

Edit: just came off watching back your last stream, just wanted to say I’m not a good player and mechanically probably never will be, but I learn so much from your vids and I feel like and can make up for my skill with knowledge to some degree thanks to your vids 🙏
Pokemon Unite is actually not the most mechanically intensive game out there so the beauty of it is that half a players skill, if not more, can be attributed to their game sense and their strategy. So learning the game, understanding player behavior, knowing how to play the map can all lead to being a much better player!
I keep getting paired up with teams of squishies and it’s like guys we can’t all be damage dealers. We need to fill out other roles in order to win the match.
the problem about this game is players just want to always attack but they rush and die they are 100% confuse then they blame there teamate
Happens all the time. It's difficult though. I would normally say ok, I'll go snorlax or blissey, but then I find out my teammates like to try and 1 v 5 with a pikachu and I find the game out of my hands. I prefer playing a tank or supportive role but it's hard to carry teammates that have literally NO idea how to play the game when you're a Blissey.

This actually helped a lot. I took a really long hiatus from.this game and was still stuck in the meta of "exp lead drednaw go brrrr". Now that I know the flow of the map better I've been performing a lot better.

6:50 I get that bottom tower is preferred to be kept up, but don't play too passively, especially as a Pikachu. Take stage control whenever you can, and Pika loves skirmishes, especially with a low cooldown Unite.
Of course, know your risks (especially in Solo Q), but being more proactive with a Mon that has a good early game is more valuable than staying at the tower the entire game while not taking advantage of when your Mon is good. If mobility is the issue, just keep spacing in mind; in Smash Bros, your shield is there to block moves, but with limited resource of the shield, movement and spacing is preferred, especially when you can take stage control alongside it.

For Decidueye, being a marksman makes it tempting for the Mon to powerfarm constantly, but the Mon should also roam for PICKS constantly, especially at Level 7. The Mon does fall off compared to other DPS Mon, so it would be more valuable to create pick opportunities (or the ease the difficulty of the lane) with Decidueye.
Of course, umbrella farming can be done within the downtime, but I mostly rotate for buffs and keep roaming; I don't like positioning past center bird farm either (with exceptions, ofc).

Other than that, nice video. I don't like when people recommend a 5-man rotation to Regieleki, and I don't like being told (as a someone who mostly play supporting roles/flex) to stay to defend at "X" tower.
Yeah, People have this weird concept that just because a mon is immobile he cannot defend or win fights by himself. As someone that mains Pikachu i can say that unless enemy jungle makes my lane falls behind, i can dictate the course of a lot of fights. I can agree that playing an immobile mon demands that you have a good macro and micro and know your limits. But if my team has the momentum you will not see me hugging a tower as i'll be fullfilling my role and dpsing enemy from behind, as Pikachu is the attacker with the highest range and this should be use in your favor.
@@Kevo_-qu2wo Taking off angles are sometimes appropriate, especially when you can burst down a key target (or any target) and snowball from there.
But yeah, I’ve been told things in this community that differs from what I’ve been told by veterans of other MOBAs, which is fair, tbh.

I still have a question : Let's say we're a Top-Lane Snorlax, the Regi-Eleki is taken by us, do you prefer to see us go with the team to push regi on the goal with our "jump on base+block"utility and taking the risk to be backcapped or should we stay strong on our goal ?

I helped win a match once as Espeon without scoring a single point. Instead I spent my time 1v2ing while protecting my one goal. By the time I could score the enemy's goal was already gone.

Love your thoughts on this! I used to watch macro guides all the time for LoL and I hadn't seen many for unite yet, so thank you for doing this.
You placed a lot of emphasis on immobile attackers being glued to a goal which makes sense that they shouldn't be yoo far away from safety since they have no escapes. However, I often find when I'm playing Pikachu that I get tower dove extremely easily. Many yimes I find myself defending a tower 1v3, especially when my team decides to go die at rotom AFTER it's already been taken because they are rotating late., rather than waiting on the safety of your goal to hold off regieleki. For this reason, isn't it better to have only 1 squishy character per team and have a peeling defender or sustaining supporter with them at all times while your other teammates (all arounders, speedsters, and other defender or speedster) roam and back cap? Would love to know your thoughts on this. I find I often am useless at defending goals solo vs stackers with few points (1-6), or vs 2 pokemon at once primarily with one member that can dive me or threaten me in my flux zone while the other scores. As a snorlax or mamo, I feel I can hold a goal 1 v 3 most of the time.

One of the biggest whiplashes I had coming back to unite was noticing that absolutely no one showed up for the bot objective lol. I had thought that it was the same as dred where it's the most important objective, but I learned pretty quick that regieleki is insanely strong comparatively

Tyranitar holds a very important role in defending if opponents get Rayquaza, Ttar can bypass shields to stop the enemy from scoring.
I play a lot of ALL ROUNDER and SUPPORT I main bottom lane usually do pretty well then at 750 I base and tell my team I’m going top but usually my team loses top lane by this time because my jungler goes bottom while theirs is going top by this time I ALWAYS have someone on top lane STILL LVL 4 but when I go top lane no one rotates top so I go bottom to support my team and they are LOSING a 2v4 like I don’t know how to help a team that doesn’t understand game mechanics

There is basically a one in three chance that bot objective will not per se be expressedly useless compared to top. But since you will only know if it is after the countdown and you need to posture for the objective fight, going bot is basically always a waste of time, you are gambling away up to half a minute of your ten minute game per bot objective, versus guaranteed turnout on top lane

If you're playing a lv 5 evolution in jungle, you can skip the Baltoys and still get 5, you just need to wait until 9:45 to knock out Xatu, then get buffs and you'll be 5.
Haha, this reminds me of my last game with Gardevoir where we were losing by the last 30 seconds so I told my team to defend and I left to back cap 100 pots and we won. Nobody was scoring so someone had to win for us. Barely made the score, lol.

thats the general idea of how this map should be played... but in solo queue things are completely different... all the rotom gamers found their unconditional love for bot lane regis ... and the thought of 'i have to be the carry of this team' which lets us have multiple junglers makes it even more fun... as a defender main i m enjoying this season alot i lost soo many matches but its damn fun when i see my cinderace or greyninja who marked top/bot lane and went into central area invading our own jungle getting clapped by mimes here and there all over the map feels soo good...xD

I just wanna say people stick on objective and forgotten their roles on the game, that it seems you can find random player are very lost and making the same mistake in any matches they are in, Its not just teamfights, its not gonna matter once you see that mostly all of your teams are under level as you still have your tempo on game, thinking that something can go wrong, I'm irritated when my team surrender very early, but their frustration that the jungle role gets blame, Idk but i hope matches we have can someone more different with this map, its different with Dread and Rotom, but mostly people defend top because they had "Leki" but we forgot that we're giving free scores on bottom, I like and hate the state of soloq with new map, again Krashy with wonderful guides (ik i barely comment but i always love your videos i may sound dumb lol but some ppl have their opinions)
I disagree with venasaur. I feel that venu is TOO squishy right now even with petal dance and can get oneshot by mime, granted mime is really broken but venu is just too squishy just as a whole and solar beam might be better even though it gets overshadowed by mew.

I play Scaldbro as a defender on top lane usually, I tend to only roam down to grab amiddle baltoy if my farm was stolen by foes or the teammate. Sometimes I'll be left alone, everyone down getting the 3rd gen regi as the entire foe team rotates to take eleki. I've gotten bitched at for 'not defending hard enough' while I have usually 4 attackers/all-rounders and a speedster murdering my level 7/8 ass. Unfortunately I've had to give top goal to teams so I can continue to defend the second top if they're feeling ballsy.
I only rotate to bottom once the springboard is put into place and its usually only for assists and maybe some goal making.
Can only do so much as a Slowbro, but I know I do what I can do in each game I play.
That's why I don't even think about using defenders or supporters in solo queue. Ironically enough, it's easier to defend goals with attackers than defenders in this game

This video is common sense for 20 minutes but it's so sad that the bulk of the unite playerbase aren't thinking atmost 1 step ahead of whatever their doing, but thats what happens on a tree game where negitive wr gets you masters
In summary: everyone do everything - unless you're pokemon is trash at mobility then do everything while close to a goal.

I feel like hard defending goals gets difficult due to the amount of experience on the new map. I’ve found myself getting way behind in levels while defending more. Anyone else feel this way?
Just have to try to find that balance between farming when you know an enemy wont be around to score

Honestly, junglers in general need to be more aware of the state of the game and not be so "everything in the jungle is mine". You want your hyper carry mage to have the blue buff way more than you want talonflame or dodrio to. In fact, In the LoL meta, if jungler isn't giving up his blue buff to midlane mage, than he's trolling. It also depends on who's more fed. The main thing is YES, there are times where it is a logically better play to have someone other than the jungler taking the buffs after the first clear.
I agree with most of what you said. But current meta required pika to change build. Catching my pika is next to impossible. Just saying. And I think you should simply rotate bottom and hard defend top. Regileki coming at your home base just as Ray is coming up is simply a disaster
X-Speed makes ALL Pokemon mobile.. So roaming with a Pika isn't that wild of a play. Obviously roaming with naturally mobile characters will always be the better play, but just saying that X-Speed makes roaming more "ok" for squishy Pokemon..
That being said, I agree with 99% of everything said in this video, the other 1% is X-Speed giving me high hopes
