    I love how Mew's difficulty is novice according to the game.

    • @aQrator
      @aQrator Год назад +35

      The moves itself are very easy and no combination of moves is really *bad*, nor do they require specific synergy. Every move is pretty standalone or combines very easily. The only somewhat complex moves in the kit are the charged attack and the unite move, but they're still not nearly as complex when compared to, say, hoopa's dimensional hole. In that sense, I kinda agree on that notion that it's novice.
      That said though, the move reset allows a massive depth to its gameplay that is extremely hard to master. 'What is the right move in this situation?' is a neverending question and answering it correctly every single time is very tough. This adaptability makes Mew super cool and complex.
      All in all, Very easy to learn, very hard to master.

    Personally, I like to start with Agility and Electro Ball because of the low CD and frequency of Boosted attacks, then swap to Light Screen/Solar Beam at Level 5 to poke out before team fights. Switching back to Electro Ball and instead taking Coaching to keep the team up. Usually more often pick Surf to help my teammates get out of sticky situations. I hope to get better and diversify my decision making, and hopefully polish my move swapping a little bit.
    Overall, Mew is pretty Amazing and I am trying my damndest to unlock it permanently

    12:45 In Pokemon Unite, invincible implies untargetable. Moreover any move that targeted you while you were not invincible will not damage you if it hits while you are invincible. You take no AoE damage either.
    Invisible means invisible to the eye and untargetable, but while invisible you continue to receive damage from moves that targeted you before invisibility (like Icicle Spear/Electroball), moves that don't require target lock-on (like Solar Beam) and AoE moves.

  • @ryan72195
    @ryan72195 Год назад +17

    Another cool tech you can do is to use agility during solarbeam to change your position. It’s kinda like how Delphox can move during her moves with flame charge. I thought it was a pretty cool way to use beam so that you’re not entirely stuck in place

    • @shubhamjohri290

  • @collynbertin3260
    @collynbertin3260 Год назад +13

    Couple of stuff about mew... electro ball and agility is amazing once it's agility plus because every agility use lowers cooldown of a move too, so electro ball can be used every like 2 seconds, also when you switch your moves if you switch to a move you don't have one your moves cooldowns are back up. A good combo is light screen solarbeam then once both are used and your using your boosted atk then switch to different move like agility electro ball or agility surf, the boosted atk takes a second or two to launch its perfect timing to switch your over and keep doing damage

  • @SOADfuckthesystem
    @SOADfuckthesystem Год назад +22

    You can:
    - set up barrier;
    - use some offensive move to boost it;
    - use your boosted atk;
    - call barrier back so it stay longer;
    - reset moves with reset orb, taking another offensive skill;
    - use the new move through the barrier, boosting it again.
    I suggest electro ball or solarbeam first and surf or solarbeam last, because your enemies can run out of your range.

    Thanks for this guide~ I needed to polish my usage of surf+agility in particular.
    Coaching can be such a good save for teammates. Not to mention it's great for Pokemon that rely on basic attacks.
    In certain situations you could even trade light screen for Coaching in early game but keep Solarbeam. If you end up with someone like Honedge or Scorbunny you can do some big damage with Beam and the Coaching buff lets your lane partner hit fast and hard to finish them off.

    • @shubhamjohri290
      @shubhamjohri290 Год назад +3

      Speaking purely theoretically: you wouldn't want to coach a Honedge if he's in the thick of a fight. Teleporting to a melee Pokemon as a squishy ranged character would land you in trouble. Or maybe it works in practical and I am over-analysing...

    Hey Jake, I don't know if this is a "hidden mechanic", but you can cast Solarbeam and while it is charging up; you can quickly cast Light Screen in front of you. It will augment your Solarbeam, but this move pattern is much much less telegraphed. Solarbeam into Light Screen. Instead of, Light Screen into Solarbeam. I am no Mew expert. This is just something I found playing around in practice.

    Playing only Mew for the past week. Some thoughts:
    Liking assault vest as an item, strangely. Gives just enough survivability to make surf plays, live Gengar ganks and win duels with special attackers like Mime.
    Electroball kite tyranitar mime garchomp anyone without range. Its slow is big.
    Electroball coaching as your first two moves playing with any Pokemon who is strong early or iss willing to fight. With solid use of coaching you can kill people for free. You do sacrifice safe farm, but I actually think it's better with a Machop or Pikachu or Snorlax lane partner.
    Preload surf coaching before a team fight when you can get in position. Surf into coaching times four or five into surf into electro ball agility cleanup is a guaranteed won team fight.
    After 11, solar beam is highest DPS. If you hit.
    Unite move is a free move switch usually into surf. It may set up some big team plays with friendly invincibility but we're not there on the first week of the Mew meta. Just use it to secure kills or as a get out of jail free card or early in team fights.

    I can't help but wonder if we may ever see another Pokemon in Unite like Mew. Whether if we are talking about "A pokemon with three moves to pick from," or "can change their moveset on the fly." While I can't claim to be a pokemon expert by and stretch of the imagination, part of me can't help but look towards one possible choice: Deoxys (and how it can go between Attack, Defense, or Speed).
    Until that time comes, I do wonder if we will see a significant impact made by Mew. That versatility definitely can be of great benefit to not only have plenty of options, but also to keep your opponents guessing if you might have the same moveset, or swapped it out for something else entirely (and if the same could happen with both Dodrio and Scizor/Scyther).

    • @shubhamjohri290

    I have played many games and tried multiple builds. Stacking glasses build looks good in principle, but mew benefits to much from cdr. Shell bell, choice specs and wise glasses are my go to. With sp. Attack and cdr emblems.
    Electro ball, light screen.
    Those two moves allow you to get a gauge quicker than any other moveset
    Between his boosted basic and the execution ability of electro ball mew does ridiculous burst damage and is an amazing finisher.
    An electro ball through a light screen does really nice Aoe and has great dmg scaling.
    The playstyle is harassment. In and out dropping burst.

    Hey spragels I got a question. When you and an ally Pokémon go in for a score and you use mew unite making you and your ally “invisible” can you or your ally score uninterrupted?

    • @pollo2188
      @pollo2188 Год назад +2

      Scoring makes you targetable, but allies can always get hit because they are unstoppable but not invincible
      Mew's cover also gets blown while scoring.
      Another thing, allies lose stealth when attacking too if i saw it right

    • @shubhamjohri290
      @shubhamjohri290 Год назад

      Mew and allies lose all invincible/invisibility if they use a move/try to score. Similar to Greninja's Smokescreen and Gengar's Unite Move. So they can be interrupted while scoring, and also damaged.

    Can you use the boosted then have a hoopa portal you to base and have the boosted do insane damage?

    • @shubhamjohri290
      @shubhamjohri290 Год назад

      Based on my understanding: the damage done by the boosted auto changes depending on certain distance thresholds. This means, for example, if the boosted attack had to travel a maximum of 1 metre to reach the target, it does X amount of damage. More than 1 metre but atmost 3, it does X + 9% X damage. More than 3 but atmost 5, it does X + 9%X + 9% X damage (for each threshold, the damage of the boosted auto increases by 9% of the base damage).
      This also means that there is a last threshold, beyond which the damage stays constant. So let's say, beyond 5 metres, it will do X + 9% X + 9% X + 9% X damage. So it doesn't matter whether you are 6 metres away or shooting halfway across the map after taking a Hoopa portal -- the damage won't increase beyond a maximum value.
