- All cutscenes from Bungie's Destiny featuring Mara Sov, Queen of the Reef-born Awoken. I greatly appreciate the design of this character and hope she survived Oryx's blast and that we'll see her again on our future adventures. May the Traveller's Light shine upon you, Guardians.

And it wasn’t insanely rare to actually talk
After the gorgeous ending we got for this entire saga, it's much easier watching vanilla stories from early Destiny. It was never always perfect, but now knowing where it was headed, it's much easier to forgive. What a journey!

I sort of agree but I would have preferred for there to have been a consistent vision from the start, so that the finale would have been planned from the beginning

5:08 is one of my favorite lines from Destiny. The Queen's delivery on that line was perfect.
I honestly love how when it came to the TTK cutscene that it kept flickering to Uldren over and over. And now seeing the role he has to play in Destiny 2, it's like Bungie knew what to do with him the entire time. Like his ship crashing on Mars because the moment Mara closed her eyes at that last moment, that was her protecting her own brother from death.

I don't see how Uldren accidently revealing that he is trying to PREVENT our death hints towards Cayde's death.
Cayde's death wasn't even conceived at this point in 2014 dude. Forsaken came out in 2018 and was leaked prior to that by revealing Cayde would die

after playing d2 I can really tell how much the visuals have improved over the first game, especially since I have been playing d2 on pc.

I used to think she looked regal and distinguished. However the derp-esque face at 3:39 has me seriously rethinking that description.
Her facial expressions during the cutscene when you return with the head support this
I miss long cutscenes with a lot of dialogue. I find a lot of the modern Destiny 2 expansion/season cutscenes too short and lacking extended dialogue, so they often feel rushed and unrewarding during major story moments. Like the Savathun exorcism cutscene for example at the end of Season of the Lost; it was short, lacked any proper dialogue and ended abruptly without any meaty exploration.
They’re always like two minutes long now. 😭
I know what you mean. Plus, its always cool to see our guardian in the cutscenes.

The original ghost had a much more how you say manly monotone compared to north's. Our current ghost sounds like a fairy, aren't ghost mechanical? So why not keep the original or give us the option to change our ghosts' voice
Gabriel Torres exactly. Considering nolan played nathan drake he had a pretty deep voice. I just don’t understand why he made it so high pitched as the ghost. Also the high pitched ghost doesn’t sound like it fits the overall story and atmosphere of destiny. Dinklage sounded very deep and grimm fitting the atmosphere of destiny.
From what we heard before destiny was out. It was that Peter himself was too busy as well acting for game of thrones. It was rumoured to have supplied his voice lines by call as unbelievable as that sounds. And had to eventually refuse to continue due to the pay being low.
Ghost was a mute in the dark below and house of wolves.
I loved dinklebot. Can’t think of ghost any different.

How far we’ve come, huh?
Her development from this critical, aloof, distant monarch to a collaborative, trusting ally is one of the best things about the destiny story.
This Mara and Final Shape Mara are completely different characters and it's a triumph how well it's been done over 10 years.
Instead of aiming for the fallen, why not aim for Uldren?

I prefer the direction of the scenes in Destiny 1, it's more intriguing and unique. D2 has really boring cinematography. Shame there was no story in D1.
There is indeed a story on D1, but it's barely told, the story of the base game is about the Vex and their manipulation of the Darkness in the Black Garden.
D1 Has an amazing story, it's just not told well.

Even at 720P, the quality of these cut scenes are 480P at best lol.
These long cutscenes where our guardian talks alot more than our Ghost, is so better than what we have now.
I know our Ghost was speaking for us when the Witness but for us to not say a single word to the Witness ourselves kinda felt disappointing.
We are THE guardian. The one that slayed countless gods and foes and when the Witness questions our loyalty we say nothing.

See! I knew there was something not right with destiny 2 cutscenes, they were treating my character like he can't speak, but I remembered this cutscene so I tried to look for it and here I am watching a guardian speak... SMH normally

If there’s one nitpick about Destiny 2 I still have is that our guardian barely has any action of doing anything.
At the end of the saga we only get two cutscenes where we contribute to anything.
I often come back to watch old destiny videos, just to somewhat relive what was lost from destiny for me

I agree and I haven't even played d1. I can somehow understand why people were so into it.
It’s the art design, music, and atmosphere. That was D1’s secret ingredient.
D2’s foundation is just so bland and generic, it’s lost what made the first game so special underneath the surface.
