I am a petite with an hourglass shape, so I feel my best wearing dresses (especially wrap and fit & flare ones), skirts + tops/ shirts and linen trousers + cotton tank tops in the summer, and jeans + jumpers and corduroy jumpsuits during winter.
Notice that Cindy is very, very thin and tall. The same clothing on someone 5’5” and Cindy’s weight of 125-130 ish would not look the same no matter how well tailored to size. That seems to be forgotten. She’s not curvy which many are after menopause and more so with decades of gravity working-How many in the world have her combo to start with? I would love lots to have my shoes match something in every outfit, but I don’t have a vineyard either for income. No mention how much work she has had done on her face -fillings, Botox, surgery? Products from The Ordinary are terrific and straight to the point/no extra ingredients. If you buy retinol that’s what you get- not lots of water or scent etc. Still being pushed to be tall and extra thin. Older women 50’s+ need some reserves btw to help against osteoporosis (starts in ‘20’s ( supplements -D, Calcium, Omega3, magnesium, C in high amounts -ask your Dr.) and breakage not problems for her yet but more so every year over 60. Let be fair here, Cindy looks like a model-most do not ever-. I did not like the pasty coloured T shirt at all on her. A lighter colour in pink, green, blue-to bring out skin tones would be better. I am sure she has staff to scour the world to do the matchy idea. A belt can do that, neckerchief, scarf ( not as a shawl) not just shoes. Blue jeans blue Chelsea boots etc would be great.

So there must be other examples, not only a model from the 90s, with the best proportions and the lush hair. Estrogen tanks when you are in menopause, it makes you hair thin and sometimes no blowout can help you. A shorter woman with a rounder figure would not look good in a biker jacket. I would like to see more realistic examples for the everyday women.
I'm in menopause and my hair hasn't thinned, if it has, it's mainly a lack of nutrients! I had already gained a lot of weight on my stomach plus prediabetes and I got rid of it by changing my diet and exercising. You don't have to be a model/exmodel. A biker jacket or generally cooler clothes can also be worn by a smaller, chubbier woman and look more casual/youthful. In the end, it's always mindset! You have to do something for yourself if you don't want to keep going downhill, especially in terms of your health

Sadly this is still unrealistic as you picked a model type woman. Average women that is not a model or rich is overweight. Menopause and slow down in exercising, plus not having the funds to have the special creams or hair attention. Why not show an average woman who is slightly overweight and see how these tips help her. Just a thought

Try eating healthy, more plant based diet but with enough potein. Intermittent fasting is highly recommended, and not just for the sake of keeping a normal weight. I don't use store bough creams anymore as I discovered two homemade products that are extremely cheap, easy to make and more useful than most, if not all, expensive creams: flaxseed gel (I add a few capsules of vitamin e to preserve it for longer in the fridge) and rice cream (made in the blender from cooked organic basmati rice + vitamin e + honey). I do use spf (I wish I had started when I was younger) and differin gel twice a week.
True, I note that you talk about 12/14 being average, in UK, your size 12 is our size 16 as the sizing is different, but 16 is average over here, so virtuely the same in effect. I am a UK 12 (US 8) and 5ft 8in tall at age 70. I was bullied as a teenager for being so tall and skinny, but now I feel lucky to be below average size and above average height. Still difficut to dress as smart as Cindy though, especially if you live in the countryside, no blazer or heels for me, I need a waterproof/windproof jacket and shoes that cope with mud and rain!
It can be done. I mean the weight thing. I'm 55 but a small size 8 (U.K) sizing. Same if not slimmer then when I was in high school. They say you have to drop 200 calories a day from your diet and excercise atleast 20 min a day and lifting weights makes a huge difference 😊
Cindy Crawford wears a uniform, what I mean by that is that she is always wearing pants/jeans, coupled with a stylish top, modern jacket, belt and stylish bag. In every pic she is wearing the same arrangement but mixes up shirts different jackets and belts. She is stunning, you show a great example of 50's and dressing with modern age-appropriate style but Cindy won the gene lottery. I tend to wear jeans alot myself in my 50's so it was nice to see what shoes/sandals she pairs them with.
Ladies, add walking and drink lots of water daily. Avoid alcohol and excess sugar. Excess weight will make women look much older (try some intermittent fasting).

The reason I assumed, is that this way, one can see the shape and cut of the garments she is talking about, to wear. If she used a fat dumpy lady, you would not be able to see the style, cut, shape etc , which is the idea of her video. Find a good piece and wear it to rags, then find another piece. I found a fabulous little black, crepe? jacket, a bit shorter than I would have liked, but the sleeves had a nice ruched effect and I didn't have to alter them. The little jacket has no buttons, no pockets, is fully lined, never crinkles or looks slept in, and was on sale! I wore it every day on a 2 week, multi country family trip in September last year, and wear it to town almost every week now winter has passed. It makes me feel smart looking, even with my joggers on and my garden pants, if I have to race to town for some garden things. I'm amazed at what that little black jacket can do.

Skinny jeans usually have a skin tight hem around the ankle. If you look again, the hem is straighter and you can still fit four fingers in the opening. I would call those slim, not skinny.

The funny thing is they are still sold under a different name, “slim straight,” thank goodness and now the flared skinny is available, “slim flare.” Yay! I still believe that the wider the leg, the shorter I look. I feel swamped with all that fabric but maybe I just haven’t found the right pair. 🤷🏼♀️ It’s getting harder and harder to find v neck tops and dresses, too. I have always looked better in V-neck. It’s elongating and those with especially long necks would look better on round neck but those also accentuate the neck and at my age that’s another reason to dislike them.

Try thrift stores and second hand stores. There's no reason to buy retail when your on a budget. None of my clothes or shoes have been purchased in a traditional store (ok $1.00 flip flops at Family Dollar or Dollar Tree every summer 🙂) It's truly amazing what people give away, just look down the racks for quality fabrics and well made leather shoes, purses & beautiful accessories. You can do your blow-out at home. In Europe a very small proportion of women goes to have professional blowouts except for special occations or when we get a Haircuttry anyhow… otherwise we do it at home in the morning… 😊 same for having our nails done.. at home 😊
No one has to be rich or have model looks to take care of their body by eating right and exercising. Posture is important. Also, I think that many women really dry out their hair with chemical applications. As we age, we need to keep our hair and skin moisturized.

Cindy is beautiful, but she always looks outdated in those low-to-midrise skinny jeans, wide belts, etc. The surest way to look older is to desperately hang on to the styles one wore when younger, as she does. I’m nearly 64 and most women my age still wear skinnies/leggings and the long, square tunics or big shirts of the late 90s, when we were in our 30s, that’s why they look older than they could look. We don’t have to wear what doesn’t suit us, but fashion moves on, choose more modern styles.

There are plenty of lower raise jeans if you look for the more traditional jeans brands. Or but a slim mid raise model and then with a size or two above your normal size, then they will be “low raise”.. 😊 but make sure to stuck up now when they are generally coming back in stors..

I really like Cindy's look except for the Jeans - too much - over kill. Like most people - so many are dependent on jeans. It is now a boring look. Styled correctly the look can work but not for every occasion. I love a good pair of dress pants and especially a pencil skirt. You do not need to wear high heels and jackets with these items. A kitten heel and a few great blouses will stretch these look endlessly. Just think outside the jean box.

Try thrift stores and second hand stores. There's no reason to buy retail when your on a budget. None of my clothes or shoes have been purchased in a traditional store (ok $1.00 flip flops at Family Dollar or Dollar Tree every summer 🙂) It's truly amazing what people give away, just look down the racks for quality fabrics and well made leather shoes, purses & beautiful accessories.
(I understand that used clothing and shoes are too yucky for some people 🦠 etc.)

You can do your blow-out at home. In Europe a very small proportion of women goes to have professional blowouts except for special occations or when we get a Haircuttry anyhow… otherwise we do it at home in the morning… 😊 same for having our nails done.. at home 😊
No one has to be rich or have model looks to take care of their body by eating right and exercising. Posture is important. Also, I think that many women really dry out their hair with chemical applications. As we age, we need to keep our hair and skin moisturized.

Cindy is beautiful, but she always looks outdated in those low-to-midrise skinny jeans, wide belts, etc. The surest way to look older is to desperately hang on to the styles one wore when younger, as she does. I’m nearly 64 and most women my age still wear skinnies/leggings and the long, square tunics or big shirts of the late 90s, when we were in our 30s, that’s why they look older than they could look. We don’t have to wear what doesn’t suit us, but fashion moves on, choose more modern styles.

There are plenty of lower raise jeans if you look for the more traditional jeans brands. Or but a slim mid raise model and then with a size or two above your normal size, then they will be “low raise”.. 😊 but make sure to stuck up now when they are generally coming back in stors..
Wy are we looking at an older woman who has the body of a young person? Of course younger fashions look good on her. This is not rocket science. How about an older woman who was never a SUPERMODEL? I really like Cindy's look except for the Jeans - too much - over kill. Like most people - so many are dependent on jeans. It is now a boring look. Styled correctly the look can work but not for every occasion. I love a good pair of dress pants and especially a pencil skirt. You do not need to wear high heels and jackets with these items. A kitten heel and a few great blouses will stretch these look endlessly. Just think outside the jean box.
