I am looking into a visit in 2025 and have viewed many gorilla trekking videos. Yours is the first video that lives up to the title. Thank you for the realistic journey from the trek to the bugs to sighting.
You spending your hard earned money supporting their tourism provides education resources for the children. You are blessed beyond and deserve to enjoy the fruits of your labor plus you are kind, and beautiful. Thank you so much for sharing your story ma’am.
Thanks for a great video! I am overwhelmed by what you shared. We are planning a trek for next year. Your video even moved me to tears at the sheer majesty of these creatures.
I was looking for a video that actually talked about and showed the hike. Yours is the best. You even included elevations and temperatures. I will be going to Uganda and your insights for what to expect are invaluable. But the best part was, at the end, you, sharing a moment of very sensitive reflection of life and your place in it. Thank you Ms. Parks. You, and your fear of snakes, will be with me on my trek.
What a beautiful video! Was researching for an upcoming trip to Rwanda and your video is not only helpful but so lovingly produced. Wonderful! Thank you.
absolutely amazing and captivating. thank you so much for 1. inviting me and 2. putting this together. this definitely brought back some great memories
This is amazinggggg, I always wanted to do this experience but thought it was so much money and not worth it. I loved how I learned so much about Uganda that I never knew about before. You are a master storyteller and it was soooo good that you got your friend Al to come.
Thank you! Same! Well I always thought it was worth it, but I just didn’t think I could afford it 😅. But back then I was mainly looking at luxury travel agency quotes. You can book directly with a tour company in Uganda (what I did), or you can even do the drive yourself and rent a Jeep if you’re adventurous and go with a group of people. Would save you some dollars.
I went gorilla trekking June 2024. My trip was up the side of a mountain straight up for 2 hours. We stopped to rest often. I was the oldest in a group of six women and I had to lie down at times. It is really a rough trek. I thought I was in shape. when we got there, we saw the silverback and the mothers with their babies and they paid no attention to us at all we sat there and took pictures and videos and they finally started moving and we followed until our time was up. I would love to go again, but it was a tough thing to do. 16:35
I have booked an Uganda Rwanda trip for early next year. By far, this is the best short video I've watched of the iconic gorilla tracking experience. Thank you.
Thank's for showing this video, awesome! But I must say, this hike is absolutly nothing for me, so, I am glad I could join you on this tour via youtube!
I cried watching this! I want to do it so badly, if I can just get past worrying about poisonous snakes and insects. Do you know how readily treatment is available if something gets you?
Do it! You only live once! Potential dangers are everywhere. Don’t let bugs and snakes stop you. I saw no snakes the entire time, I just talked about them a lot because I’d seen them at a sanctuary a few days prior lol
She made me feel more confident about going due to armed guards. I don’t worry about the gorillas but worry about kidnappers and being held for a ransom which I’ve heard happened to Americans. GoPro on headband and porter to help film would have been worth $50 in gold.
Depends on whether you book a tour package to the park or self drive, and what level of accommodations you want, how many days etc. A permit to trek in the park in Uganda is $700 so it will cost at least that. Plan to spend between $1200-$2500 on average for a package.
Thank you for showcasing our country.
I swear to you when I look into the eyes of these majestic creatures I see my ancestors.🙏🏾👍🏾 Great job
Thank you so much 😀

Thank you for the beautiful video. How many hours did you hike before seeing the gorillas?
About 2 hours but it depends on where the gorillas are. They happened to not be too far on that day 😊
Very well put together

@@KLajoi thank you! I think September should be a good month!
Beautiful video

Awesome Video was the Covid Testing hard to get for the Gorilla Trekking
Thank you! No, it was arranged by my tour provider.
Thank you for the excellent video. I hope to see the gorillas early next year in the same national park. Happy travels to you.
The quality of this video is that of an expensive tv-program. Not someone with 500 subs. Well done.
Thank you so much!
