I was a kid growing up in Australia and wasn't even an England fan, but I still had that Gascoigne number 8 top. Iconic shirt and player.
Im a Malaysian right..but Euro 96, Britpop and Trainspotting are huge influences in my life.
I wish I can hear how you pronounce the word "right" there.. Hahaha..
Are u expecting a Malaysian or fake brit accent? Cos i can do both haha@@khairulanuarsidek6992
1996 what a year ... Loved it.
The Euro 2020 trophy is really homesick. In fact it has never come to it's home. Please -reunite- _unite England and the Euros for the first time._
It's good to look back and remember the past every now and again. History is important. Memories are priceless.
Gary Neville taking about TA and SP in the changing room was amazing. Fills me with pride.
What a tournament!!!! 😍⚽
It's coming home
I was an 11 year old behind the goal when Gazza done over Colin Hendry and this England Scotland game is on my birthday. It’s fate another big win coming
I was 19 in 96 best summer ever football coming home amazing weather. Bet this bloke hosting doesn't even remember any of it he must be only 25 himself
Concur mate, it's a feast of football. I was 16 back in 96. They should take someone senior that enable him to relate to his/hee experience in 96.
He's 36
I was 10 years old during the tournament and I remember it as if it were yesterday. The atmosphere around the tournament was so infectious: there was so much optimism, there was the sun, the sense of occasion and, most importantly, it was a period of fun with wild celebrations after each game we won. It was such a good time to be around. If only we'd won the damn thing 😆
He's 36, like me. I was 12 at the time too. I remember it very well. Don't see why he wouldn't. That said, I think getting an older person - someone who was in the mix of it at the pubs, etc - would have been more special.
Stand up and be proud.
How I wish I could go back to 1996
O ren ishi’s entry music at the beginning 👌
I was just thinking how many times that jump cut sequence has been recreated. Truly iconic cinema!
Quality idea for a show 👏🏻
Qualllllityyyyy maaaaaate . Mug
I quite like Gareth Southgate. He has stabilized the culture of the group (respect, unity, no star ego issues). He navigates the very HARSH English media well and protects his team. That's 70% of the job of an NT manager.
Tactically he is no Guardiola, but how do you expect a manager to not play back 3 with a defence which is so unstable?
Yes the defense is unstable, Maguire can't run and tackle, John Stones gets dispossessed and is just weird and Mings is just bad except in the air and a bit of ball playing. That's not the main reason as the players complementary and one easily makes up for the weakness of the other. So, the defense is actually very stable.
The actual reason is because Maguire likes to brrrr up the pitch sometimes. The defense gets exposed a lot from the counter pressing. England also attack in the flanks which requires the defenders in the sides to go off position sometimes which is very convenient to do with 3 at the back.
@@shambhav9534 absolutely concur with you on that. And in 2018 England didn't even have a decent holding mid, which may or may not now change with Rice. Let's hope for the best!
@@palashrawat401 If Rice stays down, he leaves the midfield empty and if he pushes up, he leaves the defense exposed. It's a decision to be made every second. I've seen no 22 year old do that correctly all the time. England leave the lower to mid midfield entirely up to Rice.
In West Ham, he has Soucek and 3 at the back and can play like nothing in the world matters and do his thing. Basically, he doesn't have the responsibility for the entire lower midfield.
3 at the back still seems better.
pretty sure he wants to make up for destroying Englands best chance at a trophy in a long long time
@@jinz0 well at anytime a team reaches a stage where a defender or goalkeeper has to take a penalty to keep their hopes alive...the team has made some mistakes elsewhere
Did they finish this?
Where's the rest of this?
Gareth Southgate is such a decent person
But a crap manager
@@browngeorgebest2943 and worse penalty taker.
Marxist
What of losing ?!! Brilliant !
Next, interview McManaman.

@Jay Michael Errrr....whaT...errrRr...aGed REally...errrrR Lol Well?
If I remember correctly, England didn't win this tournament. Yet they speak about it more than when they won the World Cup!
it's called passion, you wouldn't get it, soyboy
Because there are barely any '66 World Cup winners left alive, and the ones who are can't remember it anymore.

This host is 37 that's bollocks
To make the electric batteries for these vehicles they emit more pollution than a regular petrol engine would running for 125,000 miles . FACT.
I was with you until the emissions nonsense. Can't we just go back to football without politics?
We need more rainbow footballs, pink boots and kneeling!!
It's not politics. It's PR and branding. Relax.
@@mansnotbot4160It's bollocks
The electric vehicle: why does everything have to be a politically correct lecture these days? It's condescending and arrogant. Sky producers wanting to be "relevant", but it's condescending because it implies without Sky's (or any media outlet trying to be "relevant") paternal direction, we common people would be too stupid to see the value of electric vehicles. I'll probably buy an electric vehicle over the next few years, but I'll do it because I know it's the sensible thing to do, not because I've been lectured and patronised.
Firstly, where's the lecture?
Secondly, you mean you've magically gotten your knowledge without any lectures?
Thirdly, the information doesn't need to be relevant if it doesn't take the limelight and is good.
It supports Jeremy Clarkson′s theory that you can't watch anything without this subject being shoved down your throat.
Pure propaganda.
More empty gesture politics. Football is for getting away from bloody politics, least it used to be (and no, Guardian readers, poppies are not politic - this is new).
@@shambhav9534 Yes it is very possible to attain knowledge without lectures. I Read books, decide whether I agree or disagree, I observe the world around me and analyse, and come to my own conclusions! Indeed I would add relying on lectures for your knowledge is unimaginative. As an individual with free-will it is incumbent on you to decide what is right or wrong, on what is the meaning of life, and not just accept what you've learnt in the classroom. But thanks for your comment, I appreciate hearing your point of view and have a good day my friend.
@@bruno5137 I think I got your point. So, for you, lecture and information-giving aren't the same. If so, you're using the wrong words. With your meaning of "lectures", I hate them too. But small things like in this video which aren't toooo much is fine for me.
Dont care about football anymore when grown men are kneeling embarrasing themselves before games. my son wont be watching the euros. Football is dead.
Such a snowflake aren’t ya
Ohhh so sad a knee scares you. 😭😭😭
snowflake!
Are you embarrassed when grown men kneel before an unelected monarch?
Actually, why are you embarrassed by the actions of other people?
It's over in a few seconds. Get over it.
BLM may be a nutty organisation. But taking the knee is absolutely inoffensive and fine.
Clown.
Croatia will knock you out, again... :D
Drop the masks ffs
