    Brilliant as always. I love how you could design a gripper that opens going down and closes at the bottom for a stronger grip.

    I notice the pink gear travels 180 degrees for one pick and place. And the pick/place movement is 1/2 of that (90degrees).

      These angles can be changed by changing the parameters of the four-bar linkage and the belt drive.

      The green bar, that connects the pink gear to the rest of the mechanism, is transferring linear movement, not angular movement. If you change the size of that bar, you can change the resulting angle in arm.

    Really interested in these timing belt pick and place mechanisms. Trying to figure out the pulley dimensions. Shouldn't they be the same size? Both are rotating 90deg, so wouldn't the smaller pulley have over-travel?

    How to calculate the right diameter of the pulleys in order to get only 90° folding of the orange thing.

      If the two pulleys have the same diameter, the orange thing doesn't change direction in space, meaning it oscillates 90 degrees relative to the yellow thing.

    Stupid... nowdays people using actuator with rotator for pick and place it's easy for product package change for running production... rubbish design...can't use when placing to second point or different positions
