    Glass is endlessly recyclable. I can put it out with my weekly recycling, but very little of it can be returned to the supermarkets for a deposit refund.

    The recycling process starts with sorting glass by color-clear, green, and brown-because different types melt at slightly different temperatures. Broken glass (cullet) is cleaned, crushed, and prepared to be reborn into new bottles and jars.

    Almost Everything can be Recycled, sadly most plastic and food waste go into the landfill, along with paper and cardboard. and a lot of plastic is shipped to the middle east or other country's to be recycled, but mostly get just dumped on the ground or put in landfills there. This planet would be a heck of a lot cleaner if everything was recycled and not just throwed away. the country was a lot cleaner before the government started controlling everything for profit.

    In UK, I broke up my double glazed window frame and took the glass out having been told, nobody recycles this sized glass as the UK don’t have the Technology. 😅 I was told to Chuck it in the Landfill waste.

      It's frustrating to hear that, as glass recycling technology is improving! 🌍🔄 In the UK, there are actually more options for recycling various types of glass than many realize, so it's worth checking local facilities!

    This was tried in California decades ago, and it was an unmitigated disaster, economically. Totally abandoned after only a few years. The real problem was that they did NOT have a buyback system, or tariff on the bottles, so people just through them away into unprocessed trash. In other states, where they had severe refunds on bottles and cans, this worked fairly well. The threshold seems to be at about 1/2-to-2dollars per bottle, depending on the product. Otherwise the cost of gasoline to take them back for recycling outweighs the refund cost. This also applies to the trash recycling companies, who have to pay extra for sorting their trash collections.

    • @Factory.Secrets
      @Factory.Secrets  12 дней назад

      Great point! A robust buyback system is definitely key to successful recycling programs. 🥤♻️

      It takes dedication from all links in the chain to make it work, for sure. And time. I'm from Denmark, our system has been evolving over 45-50 years and works pretty well. It's also been adapted to work with plastic bottles, well at least some types.

    Man will never save the planet! God, the Creator of everything, is keeping it! He will even make a brand new one in the future, only for those who serve Him and believe in Him. And that one will be forever and ever. Not like this one we have now, corrupted by sin.

      @@Factory.Secrets Glass recycling is not God's creation! This is man's creation.
      Now, although glass recycling is good for the environment, it will never save this earth. This planet will get close to be completely destroyed in a near future!
      This earth was created by God, is kept by God, and will be one day destroyed by God.

      But I never said that we are not to respect that nature that God gave us. That's what we should do. But man by itself cannot do what only God can do. This is the point.
      Now keep your dog in your yard, cause I keep mine in my yard. That's the way it goes. God doesn't keep my yard. I do!

      @@MiNa-kv3lp People already do whatever they feel like! And nothing will stop them! Pollution will keep increasing until Christ comes back on this earth.
      So Jesus Christ will make this earth like new, when He will appear at His second coming, (which is very close) to reign on this earth from Jerusalem, for a period of a thousand years. There will be real peace on this earth for the first time, since the creation of man.
      And after the thousand years, God will destroy everything that exist and create a new earth and a new heaven, where there will be no Sun, no Moon, and no Stars, for eternity to come.
      So keep taking care of the earth, but never think that we will save this earth. We won't! And keep your dog in your yard, as I keep mine into mine. I pick up the poop on my dog, in my yard. And you should do well to do the same.
