    The most brilliant mechanisms for rotary to linear motion were discovered during the steam age, or even before. Check out the Cardan and Peaucellier mechanisms.

    EXACTLY what I needed. I can use my own cardboard versions to show 4th graders how current electroromagnetism in coil of wire (moving magnetism, basically) uses rotational motion to create motion in other directions. Thank you!!! @racketman2u, you are right re: steam. Human ingenuity baffles and inspires me, as a teacher.

    poor compilation.... The most important mechanisms are lacking: swash plate and Cycloidal drives

    non mettete in considerazione che con un gioco di leve ( ( 6 ) insieme a qualcosa che non posso dire ottengo una rotazione 1 a1 questo lo potete vedere su RUclips e scrivere moltiplicatore di potenza

    con le leve non e stata fatta vedere basta andare su RUclips e vedrete un sistema meccanico che funziona scrivere moltiplicatore di potenza e noterete la potenza che sviluppa tale sistema

    Disagree with crankshaft. Example shown converts linera motionn (piston) into rotational motion ( crankshaft) , not viceversa

    2:04 - But will the disc rotate in one direction if the force is applied to the frame and not to the disc??? It seemed to me that the mechanism would only work correctly if the disk rotated, and not vice versa. After all, the frame can move in two directions, and the axis in the frame can turn the disk not a full turn, but only half.
