What a voice and perfect playing! She is gorgeous, as a singer and as an actress. And the (usually) cheerful Mozart can be so genuinely haunting. The aria and the performance are a jewel.
What a wonderful voice and interpretation, the best I've heard so far. And this mise en scene seems to really fit the sadness and depth of the music. I agree with the idea that this is a metaphor of a bigger, deeper loss. Maybe that's what Mozart hinted at, with such a moving piece. I find this singer has made the most of it.
I LOVE the production. It shows the nobility in decline... just as the play that was banned by the emperor. And the singing is formidable !! Buy this dvd !!
Cher Wolfgang !
L'ho perduta... me meschina... ah, chi sa dove sarà? Non la trovo... E mia cugina... e il padron ... cosa dirà?
I refer you to the libretto, in order to find out just how very ,very important is that pin, and why. Not a dressmaker pin, one of those ornate pins that where used in the old days. But its importance was paramount, and its loss a very grave affair.
Just sang this version of L'ho Perduta me Meschina for a vocal performance audition. I ended up smiling the whole way through due to nerves, and that Ab flat at the end was on key but disconnected sounding. I had picked two other songs and worked really hard with two teachers. I hate that I have to wait to find out until March 22.
I didn't make it in, and I was so devastated. I'm thinking of auditioning again with some other schools in mind next year. I had a bad feeling about this audition after one of the judges gave me a pitiful look.
No matter the dramatic appearance of the piece, that she says "I lost it,poor me!" about the pin that's visibly in her hair (to the viewer) makes it tragically comical...
There's one Traviata from the Salzburg Festival where Anna Netrebko wears red and everyone else wears suits, I have only seen pieces but I think that one worked out.
What kind of a productionis this? In the opera she is talkign about a pin that she lost that the count told her to look for it...Where do they come off in shwoing that she lost her virginity... I JUST LOVE HER VOICE!!!!!!! I will kepp listening to her since I have to sing this role soon
L’ho perduta, Barbarina's aria from Le Nozze di Figaro L’ho perduta, me meschina! I have lost it, woe is me! Ah chi sa dove sarà? Ah, who knows where it is? Non la trovo. L’ho perduta. I can’t find it. I have lost it. Meschinella! Ecc. Miserable little me etc. E mia cugina? E il padron, And my cousin, and the boss cosa dirà? what will he say?
Yes, she has lost a needle she was to give to Susanna in order to arrange a meeting. In fact, she has not only lost this needle, but also her virginity, that's why she is churned up... because she can't get it back, of course;-) That's the best.known interpretation of it. (Or at least my father told me, he's a conductor) I have to learn it, too, and I like it very much.
What a voice and perfect playing! She is gorgeous, as a singer and as an actress. And the (usually) cheerful Mozart can be so genuinely haunting. The aria and the performance are a jewel.

soavesia ilvento the aria wasn’t meant to be sad actually she’s like seamstress working and she lost her sewing pin that’s the whole song
Agree!
Lava_ LPS Bullshit, the Pin is essential to the Plot
OF COURSE !!!!!
L'ho perduta, me meschina
ah chi sa dove sarà?
ah chi sa dove sarà?
non la trovo
non la trovo, L'ho perduta,
meschinella!
ah chi sa dove sarà?
non la trovo,
ah non la trovo,
meschinella,
l'ho perduta,
ah chi sa dove sarà?
e mia cugina?
e il padron

I LOVE the production. It shows the nobility in decline... just as the play that was banned by the emperor. And the singing is formidable !! Buy this dvd !!
Quelle belle interpretation........
La meilleure...
1:32 (chills)
How beautifully haunting this production is! (Have never seen it done this way.)
I'm preparing this role right now.
Eva has a GIFT!
wow!!! beautiful music!!!
L'ho perduta... me meschina...
ah, chi sa dove sarà?
Non la trovo... E mia cugina...
I refer you to the libretto, in order to find out just how very ,very important is that pin, and why. Not a dressmaker pin, one of those ornate pins that where used in the old days. But its importance was paramount, and its loss a very grave affair.
Who is she? Amazing voice ❤️
this aria is way too short :(
effect with my eyes: creepy!!!
effect with my ears: beautiful!
In assoluto la mia versione preferita!
+Angelina Bartiromo same as you
one lovely piece of deepness among the sea of superficiality of Mozart Operas !
Do prefer the religious music he wrote !
i have to sing it on my terminal examination. i'd do it successfully, and... i fell in love with this song for the first time(L)
beautiful performance! if only i were half this good...
Is she Eva Liebau? She's amasing. What a fantastic voice for Mozart operas!!!
Fron now on I'm a fan of her.

So how did you do?
I didn't make it in, and I was so devastated. I'm thinking of auditioning again with some other schools in mind next year. I had a bad feeling about this audition after one of the judges gave me a pitiful look.
Schoolgirl325 Don't give up, learn to channel these experiences into your performances. Good luck!
I love this song, but I bet half of you have no idea what she's even saying. She's looking for a pin. That's it.
but isn't the pin meant to symbolize losing her virginity?
no its not
no its not
Fullmetal1890P yea I know and she is looking for the pin to seal a letter that the count is giving Susana I think
isn't it a key?
No matter the dramatic appearance of the piece, that she says "I lost it,poor me!" about the pin that's visibly in her hair (to the viewer) makes it tragically comical...
outstanding voice, and ridiculous production as always...
There's one Traviata from the Salzburg Festival where Anna Netrebko wears red and everyone else wears suits, I have only seen pieces but I think that one worked out.
she looks like helena bonham carter in sweeney todd.
and she sings beautifully. :)

L’ho perduta, Barbarina's aria from Le Nozze di Figaro
L’ho perduta, me meschina! I have lost it, woe is me!
Ah chi sa dove sarà? Ah, who knows where it is?
Non la trovo. L’ho perduta. I can’t find it. I have lost it.
Meschinella! Ecc. Miserable little me etc.
E mia cugina? E il padron, And my cousin, and the boss
cosa dirà? what will he say?

imini.. Good Luck!
i hate it when they "modernize" the productions
10 puntos! :)
Cool
😢😭🤧

Who is she? She's amazing!
@tissetatten oh, and I'm singing it in my singing lessons at the moment, so my teacher told me about it.
@SilverPinions sorry that my aunt posted this comment she uses my account sometimes the comment she put was not offensive was it?
Bellissima voce!!! Come si chiama la cantante?
@Lilya7 me too

Vabbé, ha perduto la verginità. Ma chi l'avrebbe mai detto? Come sono didascalici questi registi tedeschi!

Nooo. Guardate i libretto à la página kareol. Niente verginità
voix superbe .
.mise en scène ..bof
So, who raped her? This is so haunting. And it sort of makes sense: lost the pin, lost her virginity. I like it.
Her voice is amazing but the production sucks.
