If someone hits thumbs down to any of Waylon's songs they have to be deaf and have extremely bad taste in music. Waylon Jennings is one of the greatest singers to ever walk this earth. He was the king of country!

its so corny . she had to jump on the band wagon because country is so popular right now , you know people that play instruments and work hard all their lives doing coffee shops ,small bars , clubs , and fairs etc , doing their time . and then all she does is get all her contacts and producers to put out a " country " album .. its terrible

I lived in Arlington TX and my ex brother in law knew Terry Jennings. I was and still am a huge fan of Waylon. Long story short I wrote Waylon a letter and wanted to have him sign a picture for my dad for fathers day. I checked my mail and I won the lottery! I received 2 autograph pictures signed by Waylon! He gave one to me as well as my dad! My dad always said if you ever can play the guitar like Waylon you won't have to work!! I have many favorites to say of his songs! Waylon will always live in my heart and soul!! He was definitely a classic kinda guy! It was his way or no way!!

@Nothing But Lunkers he might have more money but his music is still not country and still sucks. The fact that he is so popular speaks to the low caliber of taste of people today. And I would imagine the majority of his fan base is female kinda like the Male pop stars of the 90s and early 2000s. People can like whatever they want. And in turn I can make assumptions about their moral character and intelligence level based on what I see. Luckily I'm rarely wrong

This music at this specific time at the Texas Opry was The Best of Waylon I ever saw.. These songs he did that day are hands down my favorite of all time, including every music band in history. I can watch these over and over and every time it hits my soul

No one sings like waylon and I admire he’s one of the only country singers I’ve seen with an electric guitar and a damn good band. I mean his singing is just insane, and the combos of the drums hi hats and the steel guitar and his little solos it’s just a different sound. The best one

Nobody can sing like Waylon did! that Earthy, guttral, country inspired sound, the clean sounds of the guitars, drums and that steel guitar. speaking of the steel guitar, that guy can play! This is country music inspired by real life and not the candy ass crap of today.

Waylon is the shit, but there are a few up and comers bringing back that sound. Sturgill Simpson, Jamie Johnson, and Cody Jinks just to name a few. They may not be National, but just like Waylon they are big in Texas!

Double time on the hi hats and the way the kick sounds. It's not just a straight beat. It's both in front and being the snare. That's so cool the way this drummer did it. I try to get my drummers to do this. I play in a three piece band and we try to sound as full as possible. I do all leads and vocals. Waylon will always be my favorite country singer and lead guitarist. RIP Waylon.

I regret not going to see him perform in the DFW , but I would like to see his son Shooter perform somewhere out there. But everything posted about this Outlaw was spot on . As a kid growing up in the 70's I was taking back hearing his music . His singing voice stood out to me . I love the way classic sound he had in the 50's and 60's also . I damn sure loved it when Chris, Johnny and Willie got together for some albums Anyway I wish he was still around , RIP Waylon .......

Waylon brought a new level of blues, outlaw, rock, and country to each of those and a whole new sound -- the Waylon Sound -- was born.
RIP, Outlaw, few have deserved it better.
