    Literally the best tip I’ve ever seen on YT. Would have never occurred to me to even try this. Even if you clipped them a little to make it more stable it would at least force the crown out so you could grab it.

    Unfortunately both my narrow crown staplers have dry fire lockout, so they wouldn't depress or fire without 5 or 6 staples in the rail.

    I’m down on my hands and knees trying to use pliers. But many of the staples are bend. Yesterday was my first day working in contracting as a helper. Not sure if I should buy a scrapper or a thingy with teeth to scrape and pull nails up.

  • @gabrieldacruz3150
    @gabrieldacruz3150 Год назад +1

    That only works if you can take the board apart in the Staples penetrate the opposite side but if you got staples with counteracting chamfers on the end they hook and they twist and that gives them even more holding power

  • @dp01

    Use channel lock pliers, a lot faster. Pull them out in the direction of the round edge of the pliers.

    • @TheSmartWoodshop
      @TheSmartWoodshop  Год назад

      Nope! Tear up the wood and it isn't easy to get the pull started. I will remove 10 before anyone gets one out using any other method.

    • @TheSmartWoodshop
      @TheSmartWoodshop  Год назад

      You need to watch again. 2 seconds or less using my method and no damage. "A lot faster" means pulling 2 or more per second.

    I can't tell--is it blowing them out the other side or popping them back out the way they came? It's too hard to see, and blurry when I zoom in. If blown out the other side, they could hit wiring or plumbing inside the floor...so I'm guessing they come back up. How does that happen, that they go up when pushed on with a force going downward?

    • @TheSmartWoodshop

      ? Maybe newer guns have changed. I have 5 staple guns and all will fire with out staples. In fact I have 19 nail guns and they will all dry fire.

    Ron using a air staple gun to remove staple is very dangerous because the old staple can rickshaw and hit you anywhere and even hit you 👁
