So great to see FightTips still going strong. This man has been a student his whole life and a true martial artist imo. That's what makes him a great teacher, and why I always look for the most recent videos. Your earlier videos gave me some killer kicks, but your new outlook on timing rather than speed shows that you really reached that 'next level'. Stay strong friend P.S. You shoulnd't talk too much to dolls in your old age :P
You’ve got a gift for teaching Shane. I’ve learned a lot of great stuff from great martial artists but you’re one of the most influential people to my striking knowledge and development.
One of my fav combos with jab is 1-2, 1-2, 1 feint strong jab to the head, and then liver shot. Manipulating my opponent's body to expose their weak spot.
Good to see you’re still making videos, as a now 20 year old who began to be interested in fighting as a teenager, I officially began learning proper technique and training and it’s really cool to look back at one of the first tools I utilized to learn how to throw proper punches and gave me a love for combat sports, keep up the good work
I'm 6'5", 270. Just shy of an 80" reach. Proud to say my jab is my most formidable punch. I can throw high volume, long range, and very stiff. Really disrupts my sparring partners. 75% of everything I throw as a traditional slugger/brawler is a lead left to set up my power shots.
Hi Shane, great content as always!! Would appreciate if you could release videos on how to prevent shoulder injuries while punching and injuries in sparring
shane this video is awesome, could you make a similar one for the kick? i noticed my kick takes ages to go back down. i dont know how well trained fighters lower their leg so fast.
hi shane, i have a problem, I'm a kickboxer and i have a long hair, and everyone knows that long hair is a disadvantage in street fights or ever combat sports.... i want you to give us so ways of hair braiding to avoid getting your hair grabbed in a fight , please gimme a heart if you read my comment and excuse me for bad English....
Yes, but it has to be minimal with the toes facing forward or outward -- otherwise, your leg will be too vulnerable for low kicks. So don't step too far with the probe step!
@@fighttips Hello Shane, I love your videos. You have superb high kicks; your agility with legs, balance and flexibility are outstanding. I've always wanted to watch a video of you having a few rounds of light sparring with a pure boxer: your high kicks against his boxing techniques (especially if the boxer is taller and heavier than you). Do you maybe have a video like that in which you spar with a boxer who has a lot of boxing experience, but no experience with kicks?
my jab is 3... at the start of the fight it becomes annoying later on in the spar cuz I make them get used to a tell and play on that purposed throw bad ones not obvious and and quick rights as I move my head out of the way cuz they comin and I know that I only how they don't throw a combo with a shovel hook up top cuz that's gonna hurt like till next week... later would eliminate that and just jab and check hooks... if they forget the right oh it's coming. but my best jab is probably just a 5 or 6? I mostly just throw it to block their sight I don't really care if it hits I know I'm wrong... but I ain't a pro and I'm an idiot lol. and I've sparred pros I been hit by counters sucks to chew on those days and you feel liked hangover when you are not.
Even with all the matches I've watched and rewatched, I continue to ask. Why do fighters extend their arms with the palm foward as if to telegraph catching a jab? I'm not referring to guaging the distance, but the habit (maybe strategy is more accurate) of motioning a wax on, wax off movement of the palm.
excuse me to Shane and people who watches this video, does Shane have a video that teaches how to deal with an opponent that is constantly backing up or going backwards or away? thank you 🙏
If an opponent backs away, there's not much to do but try working them into a corner, cutting of their possible angles of retreat and then exploding in on them to pin them there. Not much else to do unless you have a reach advantage over them in which case them voluntarily backing off is actually an advantage for you.
Hey Shane, does muscle slow you down? Does it impact on cardio?, I'm 5' tall so my muscle frame are quite blocky, i realized that my attack are significantly slower than other fighter, is it because of experience, like muscle memory, or because my muscle are slowing me down? I've only been training for 1 year and my opponent is more like 3-4 years. I feel like i get ragdolled and thrown around very easily, his punch and kick were lightning fast and hurt so so bad. I start to feel not so good about having muscle and doesn't know how to use it.
How many kg ? And how much of it is bodyfat ? There is different type of muscle, you can get big but only have slow fiber, or genetically you might just not be gifted with nervous system being able to contract every fiber all at once, both of these you can work on to get better tho, no need to get discouraged, it’s just the journey, and even tho your journey is not UNIQUE cauz I mean, we are a lot It’s still something that is about you so you should always strive to work on your issue ! Gl man
Having big, dense muscles can be great for being able to absorb more damage compared to a slighter frame seeing that muscles are essentially natural armor. But they can also be a liability if you don't train your tendons and ligaments to be able to move that bulk around quickly and/or you don't train enough cardio to be able to sustain operating your muscles in intense bursts of activity. "Explosiveness" is important for making your strikes actually count. As far as your training partner being more experienced than you, that is also a big factor. In addition to probably also having trained specifically for speed, they're likely a lot more efficient at working the biomechanics of their body to achieve power through acceleration rather than bulk. At the end of the day striking power is pure physics according to the Newtons second formula of "Force = Mass * Acceleration", so being able to capitalize on both mass and acceleration yields a lot more power than relying mostly on mass. This is probably where you currently feel like you are lacking as you have not learned how accelerate your limbs optimally yet. Also, don't underestimate what your own strikes feel like. Your partner might have felt them well enough but might not have commented on it out of a sense of pride. :)
Nope when ya got nothing worth saying and clogging up comments you are playing a game for little babies wanting attention and wont be invited back for most dangerous...tournaments...Ramsey is laughing at you lol....
As you can see you re not first Litt ll e Boy...doesn't count either cause ya got nothing to say.. We don't care about little babies wanting attention playing a stupid game and clogging up comments

Once heard that if a fighter has a solid, fast jab, they'd become a very dangerous fighter. Solid advice as always Shane, thank you!
You’ve got a gift for teaching Shane. I’ve learned a lot of great stuff from great martial artists but you’re one of the most influential people to my striking knowledge and development.
🙏❤️ Appreciate the kind words, Gabe!
Shane whens the next banger vid.
I get countered on my jabs a lot. Great video. Excited to see how it helps.
Shane is goated honestly 👊🏼, been watching since you first started the channel. Love the growth mate 👏🏻

Thank you for all the tips you shared! I can tell those come from tons of experience!
Wow thanks so much! Dedicated for life to paying it forward 🙏
I've been out of combat sports for 6 years. I'm so glad that I've come back to the game and Shane is still doing fightTIPS! Lets go!
George Foreman once said that Boxing was an easy game if you have a jab.
It's for sure an easier game if we have a good jab and we are taller than most of our opponents. 😅

You’re a cheat code….
Sheesh, that’s like fighting a guy holding a spear. 😄
Love the whipping Jab for Boxing & Kickboxing technique!!! 🐐🥊🙏

You are a really good coach. When you are older you will be a great coach for your students.
I’m learning the fundamentals of boxing so this video is right on time. Thank you! 🤙🏾
I think Bob doesn't throw jabs cause he got no arms! LOL This drill set is great for speed, strength and endurance!
I would like to see Shane sparring with Goro. This guy can hold guard and use other 2 arms to hit😂
important one
And And Best Wishes Of Guru Poornima Shane 🙏🏼and your team 🙏🏼
Great stuff! Not to sound disparaging but to be seemingly so young you're one of the best.
Hi Shane, great content as always!! Would appreciate if you could release videos on how to prevent shoulder injuries while punching and injuries in sparring

I think it was a bit, kinda like the famous "two words; find your sword" from hercules lol
Idk what that means "mate" , but let us JAB you in you're face to where you can't breathe and then talk to Coach Fazen about gab 'mate"
@@Countdownsmiles no this is just good technique
@SaintGermain Onwukeme wassup
Wdy mean by this sir respond please bc it sounds like you're talking shit
appreciated, thanks
Thanks, Shane.
For me what helped was practicing extending my arm as fast as I could with the step.
Very nice vid
THANK YOU!!! I WON MY FIGHT THANK YOU SO MUCHHHH
It would be stronger and faster if you step in and point with your hip and begin the strike just below your shoulders. Also turning your front ankle.
I thought the title said job more dangerous, but I guess in a roundabout way this describes that too
I enjoy your videos
Nice jab
I love that you practice on a dummy that's quite a bit taller than you.
How can I use more Combos in a fight? Because I am not Secaucus to finish every combo I start
Help me please
Shane Fazen the GOAT

Bob's got a better gab than me
Like from Egypt ❤
The trainer Ryan needed for tank🤷🏾
Is the probe step good for Muay Thai
Yes, but it has to be minimal with the toes facing forward or outward -- otherwise, your leg will be too vulnerable for low kicks. So don't step too far with the probe step!

Hey Shane any offers for the USDC?
It would be cool to see you in that.
Lack of confidence wouldn't have been my first guess for Bob's unwillingness to throw the jab, considering what else he's lacking …
He's not one to make excuses
@@fighttips Yeah, he looks more like the strong, silent type, who can take a punch without even blinking, let alone complaining.
Its J..A...B.
No-one said fighters are smart but damn!
Thanks for the comment 😉
hi, i wanted to ask you, if you will compete again? if yes which sport, boxing or muay thai
Free Bob, Bob move your hands if you are held there against your will 🥺
0:08 gab?
great video coach
if i say there are footwork and lessons that make this video without content am i crazy
Would you be able to do kidnapping self defense, like from being hand over mouth defense
I read job ☠️
bro said G A B lol
"G-A-B" xD
I don't think Bob has a lack of confidence, I think he has a lack of arms
