My husband (51 y.o.) just had open heart surgery (he’s doing great) I got to the hospital today and as we sat here I played todays video and when he heard Laura’s happy greeting he chuckled and said “so glad I’m here to listen to that every morning!” Garden video is our morning tradition❤️
@Jennifer Dupont, sending hugs and positive vibes to your husband and you. I said a prayer for you both, during your husbands recovery. Many many many more GA morning routine videos together.💖💙💞
Not sure if this is new or if I have just started noticing it, but the zone map that Ken pops up when you say the zones for plants is REALLY helpful. Those little touches make your videos so educational and practical for this newbie.
Hey Laura and Aaron! Did I miss you showing the tulip and daffodils near the cut shed/ meadow garden. I've been waiting and waiting to see how it looks with all those bulbs. I can't wait to see them! 😊 thanks
I am wondering if it wasn't a huge success since most of the bulbs were short ground huggers. A tiny glimpse looked like weeds were being invasive or the blooms were miniscule. I know there has not been a video. Meadow type gardens are notoriously difficult to start since weeds find them irresistible.
Video on a Saturday morning again! That means it’s serious planting season! So excited, hope we get more Saturday videos. The new varieties look beautiful.
I love Saturday videos. Any day without a Garden Answer video is a sad day. Thanks for covering drip extensions. I am looking at putting in drip this year.
"Hope I didn't get a bunch of dirt in (irrigation supply line). Nope, I think it looks pretty clean." I love it when Laura doesn't stress over the little things. As a new (perfectionistic) gardener, it's helped me to be much more relaxed. Gardening and life lessons! 🙂
I thnk the most valuable things I've learned from Laura when I started watching a couple of years ago is to be daring with gardening! Not to be too afraid to mess up. To put things where they may or may not need to be moved! My gardening friends have started to seek me out for advice now and I always advise to be daring 😂 "Give it a try!" I say 😂
Oh, Laura and Aaron have video on Saturday, it really mean spring season is coming full force ☺️ Great to see all you working on and giving us ideas for our gardens. Can't wait to see and wondering how you will do formal walkways and beds around Hartley ☺️ Brick or gravel?
😭 your videos are part of my morning routine- wake up, feed the cat, make some tea, watch Garden Answer. I decided to do some heavy cleaning this morning and couldn’t wait to sit down to watch a video, until I realized it was Saturday and there was a good chance there wouldn’t be a new one. Resigned, I checked my subscriptions anyway, and low and behold, we were all gifted a boost of serotonin after all 😂💗 but truly what a light your videos shine! Especially on this overcast and rainy day in Indianapolis. 🥲🌷
I live in mountainous northern New Mexico and deal with daily deer pressure. One of the two or three truly deer resistant plants in my flower garden is hyssop (the mule deer here even eat my alliums). It, naturally, has become my favorite! The smell (anise-mint), the grace, the color (gray-green leaves, salmon flowers), the size, the pollinators (hummingbirds FLOCK to it) are wonderful. Looking forward to buying a new variety next year. Thanks for the heads up!
The way you describe how you want to place your plants and have them look it’s like watching a master painter paint an amazing landscape. Thank you for all your amazing videos and showing us the stunning plants 🪴. Your videos are a bright spot in my day and there’s no words to tell you how much they uplift my spirits and keep me going. God bless you and your family I feel truly blessed to have found your channel.
I’m not sure I’ve EVER felt as frustrated in my garden as I was when unraveling my new drip tubing! I was a wreck! Literally, my blood pressure is rising just thinking about it. You were definitely more smooth than I was! 🤣. And thank you for posting on Saturday… you made my morning! 🥰
Hi Laura! I just started putting drip in my flower beds and have been having the hardest time with unraveling it. I thought to myself “Laura doesn’t have this problem!” This video made me smile cause it’s shows the real process of gardening and that even Laura can have the same struggles that I may have. Lol now I want to go work on what I was so frustrated to finish. Thanks Laura for the inspiration ❤️
You make my mornings so happy. My little patio pots do not compare to the lovely ones that you have shown us, but I have added more variety to my pots this year. Thank you for beings such an inspiration
I started agastache (blue indigo, and golden jubilee) in my winter sowing containers. I have potted them in larger containers but they are not quite ready to plant out. I’m excited to see them in my garden.
🌼Good Saturday to Laura and Aaron and all GA friends. The yellow really pops in the garden space, another beautiful combination. Thank you for making my day at work so much better, especially breaktime! Enjoy the weekend everyone ☕️🌼🌞
This is what I like about her videos, showing some of the basics multiple times and multiple ways. It is finally sinking into me how to add drip irrigation. Now I just need to get to do it.
That hose! 😉 my husband complains about how to roll/unroll cords and hoses! I had to stop the video and show him it’s not just me! We had a good chuckle at Laura’s reaction 🤣 Adding Agastache to the list! Thank you
Love the new perennials! They will look gorgeous all grown up. Laura, you make the connections for the drip tubing look so easy. I always have a hard time connecting them. 20 years of doing massage & my hands are not as strong anymore! Have a great day.
Thanks for mentioning the way you ran water at your old place. It's helpful for those of us working on a smaller scale! Although I do still find it interesting to see how you do things now in your bigger garden
I really enjoy all of your explanations about the plants but, as a new, learning gardener the explanation about how you plant the plants ( at soil level, below or above the soil level, with fertilizer when planting or after planted etc.) is so very helpful for me too. There is so much I find I don’t know & you are such a good teacher.
We live in rainy Pacific Northwest Washington and have no irrigation system. We have a high water table and I mostly just water by hand when needed, but I’m always fascinated watching Laura put in drip watering system. It’s an intricate skill and is so interesting to watch.
@Betsy VanWeerdhuizen, Laura sure makes it look easy, doesn't she? I would love to run drip in several places of my backyard. I am intimidated to attempt it, though, at 61 years young.🥴 Especially, since I live in the Arizona desert, which has a lot of kaliche in the ground. I guess we both just need to take the leap of faith...
Hello. Your videos are very inspiring. We are from Puerto Rico zone 12ve. My son Zamier which is 12 years old follows your channel every day. Also made some.projects you have done.He has learned the names of lots of.plants. Thank you so.much for such a wonderful inspirations.
Laura and Aaron gives me so much confidence in gardening life 👩🌾 they garden everything in the easiest, simplest and smartest way possible for us viewers to understand also have fun and enjoy it all in the same time 💐👩🌾💐
I have a purple Agastache. It’s one of my favorites. The scent of the leaves reminds me of licorice. The blooms are so long lasting and covered with pollinators. No exaggeration. I’m excited for this bright pink one!
I love the deep gold of the "Bit O' Honey" and those leaves how beautiful. I would love to see how y'all map your grid system. I am not sure if I missed that video if you made one. I will look at the history. I have seen almost all your videos I will check back on your drip system how toos
Beautiful and exciting! I love how you explain the drip system!! So excited for it to warm up here, we are a zone 3b and we finally hit 50 for the first time yesterday but back down to the 40's and rain again. Thank you for all you and Aaron do it is so appreciated!
Those are beautiful plants can’t wait to add them in my garden next year btw thanks to you and Jenny my garden is so beautiful this year you guys have taught us a lot and I appreciate you, Jenny, Jerry and Aaron. I got to meet Jenny and Jerry at their garden center earlier this month.
Thank you for the information on the drip irrigation, and reassuring that it’s fine if you go off the grid a little bit. I really value your experience and advice for my garden.
💜💚🤣🤣she said watch this Aaron, smooth!!! Love it lol! I say the same thing to my hubby to! Love ya Aaron but us female Gardners/ moms oh we got moves!!!
Yay!! Bonus video! Also you must have some strong hands. Just finished my new drip in the front yard, in a grid, and it's way harder to push the tubing on those barbed fittings, but you make it looks so easy. Thanks for all your knowledge!
Good morning! You should check out the Double Decker Echinacea. They have some very interesting blooms on them. Pinkish in color and would look beautiful in that area!
Thank you for your educational and beautiful videos. I live in FL but I am trying to help my daughter and son-in-law with their yard in Pennsylvania. They only want perineals because they are sooooo busy. So your videos are helping me to understand the plants in zone 6. They don’t understand yet ‘right plant , right place.’ Which is why some of their plantings from last year are dead 🧐.
Maybe what they really want is shrubs and such more than perennials. Perennials do require that maintenance (cutting back, dividing) that they are trying to avoid. I’m sure you understand. I hope you can make a trip to see their garden! 😊
Laura, I find it really helpful when you share your thoughts on the irrigation set up. It has helped me so much not to be intimated by the process, as a matter of fact after finding your RUclips videos a few years ago I converted my vegetable garden on drip ;) Thanks again for your help.
Love seeing the new plants. The area is looking so good, and I can't wait to how they look in a month. (My only complaint is that the videos are too short. If they were an hour long I would love it. This isn't really a complaint, I just love the videos and look forward to them so much that I hate them to end.) Thank you for making my day a lot more cheerful. You are truly appreciated!
Love the new plants, especially the variegated Heliopsis. Those 2 colors will look great together. Looking forward to video about top mounting Hoselink :)
I know it's an old video but I have 2 Meant To Bee's and need to plant and had to check out your video. I was so cracking up watching you unwinding the tubing then you say, "Aaron is dying laughing right now" then I belly laughed. "Opps, I just stepped on an echinacea, I hope the echinacea are tough". Very entertaining video. Echinacea are incredibly tough because I've done my best to kill them over and over, not on purpose just lack of sense lol. They don't and won't die even with my black thumb. I only plant in fabric pots so it'll be interesting to see how big the Meant To Bee grow. Thank you again for the valuable info and your natural fun self.
Good morning, Laura ☕️ The leaves on that plant!😳👏🏻 Added to my never ending list 📝😂 BTW, the grass is looking amazing 🤩! Great job, Aaron! Have a Blessed Day 😊🐈
Laura you make EVERYTHING look so easy.. Thanks to your videos I ran drip, just like you do, in my flower beds🙌👏 but man oh man, was it hard to put the cuplers in😳 I was sore for days😅
Laura, I’m loving the new knee pad. It looks like mine 🤪 The Heliopsis leaves are beautiful and remind me of leaves on some indoor plants. I can’t wait to add them next year.
The first garden answer video I ever watched was “planting 8000 bulbs in the orchard”. Does anyone know if there’s been a video update on that yet?? 💓 Would love to see it! I watch your videos daily with my morning coffee! Cheers!!
Thank you Laura and Aaron for another great video...love the new perennials to look forward to in 23...during the video you mentioned when living in your Townhome for many years that you used a drip line irrigation, I'm a little curious on how well it worked or if any pics, ideas especially for small spaces like townhome situation. I live in across the country suburban Georgia in a Townhome in which I often find some challenges keeping my small space garden and containers well watered especially in our dog days of Summer...Enjoy every RUclips video...
The foliage on your new heliopsis is very similar to that of Heliopsis Lorraine Sunshine which I planted years ago. Very long blooming. Hope the foliage on this variety is a little more stable and doesn't revert back to green. Looking forward to the new Agastache!💝
Prayed for you too! Get better and help Jennifer plant! 🪴
❤️🙏🏻😁
Prayers for a fast recovery! Glad too he is interested in GA! God bless GA family🙏✝️❤️🌸🌿

@@Etianen7 I believe Ken is who edits the videos 😊

Hey Laura and Aaron! Did I miss you showing the tulip and daffodils near the cut shed/ meadow garden. I've been waiting and waiting to see how it looks with all those bulbs. I can't wait to see them! 😊 thanks
Yes, I was wondering the same thing!🤔
I am 99.99%sure they didn't show it yet.
Same here waiting haha, only get to see them when Laura posted on insta a dwarf bloom haha
I know, I thought I missed it too. I don’t think 🤔 they done a video of it.

Video on a Saturday morning again! That means it’s serious planting season! So excited, hope we get more Saturday videos. The new varieties look beautiful.
Good morning! The ad before my video was a Gardner’s Supply ad with Laura planting seeds in a tray ☺️ RUclips nailed their audience with that ad!
Mine was just a shelf with a grow light 😂
I’m in the UK 🇬🇧 mine was a Tesco advert (Supermarket) 🤣🤣
Mine was also Laura ☺
I had no ad at all at the beginning - Guelph Ontario Canada 🇨🇦.

I cannot wait to get my hands on that Heliposis next year!!! OMG, it is sooo vibrant!
What beautiful plants. Love the leaf colour..just beautiful
Beautiful leaves on the heliopsis! Both flowers are gorgeous!!!
I always love these sort of plant spotlight videos.
You work the smartest of anyone I have ever seen!
Absolutely stunning new plants 🪴 really looking forward to these next year 🌸💕🌸
I love how much fun you two are together! You're both extremely talented and an amazing show together!!
These two varieties look fantastic! Looking forward to see how they do through the summer ☀️ 😀
Watching today trying to inspire my tired aching body to get back outside and finish mulching. Your energy and enthusiasm give me a boost!
Didn't expect a video on Saturday yey 😍 lots of love Laura and fam from Philippines 😘😘😘
Laura, I find it really helpful when you share your thoughts on the irrigation set up. It has helped me so much not to be intimated by the process, as a matter of fact after finding your RUclips videos a few years ago I converted my vegetable garden on drip ;) Thanks again for your help.

Love the new plants, especially the variegated Heliopsis. Those 2 colors will look great together. Looking forward to video about top mounting Hoselink :)
Those are very pretty. I will have to get some next year.
I know it's an old video but I have 2 Meant To Bee's and need to plant and had to check out your video. cant wait for these plants next year!! perfect colors for my garden and my zone!!
I want ALL the plants. Agastache not hardy for me (zone 4), but that heliopsis is!! Yippee! Beautiful combos you are curating in your South Garden!
