As a dedicated Xbox player who utilizes the Elite Series 2 controller, I believe the Victus controller presents an excellent option for me, primarily due to its identical stick and rear button layout.

@@chacazulo1987 I wish it was that simple. I am pretty sure scuf offers a six month warranty, which is just terrible. Disregarding the fact that I think the reflexes solution to four back paddles is clunky and pretty crap , after spending so much on controllers, I need at least a 1-2 year warranty. What controller would be best for long term so that I dont get stick drift? like the pro bfg would be the one for that since I can just switch out the sticks and not buy an entirely new controller.
Weird how I haven't seen or heard anything about this controller until now when it's an official controller. I bought the Edge controller a couple of months ago, and it would've been nice to at least have one more controller to evaluate at the time of purchase.
The one reason why it requires a dongle to play wirelessly instead of the normal bluetooth way is also how Playstation consoles (at least PS4) handle wireless pads. Pad players can't disable their bluetooth connectivity on their own, so sometimes, you'll see a PS4 pad interrupting a fighting game tournament. Having a dongle like this probably prevents that, and having a pure wire option really helps fighting game players. Also, Victrix also makes arcade sticks, which is why they have the fighting face button layout for this pad as well. They are great in their contribution to the fighting game community
@merrydingoes youve got some fgc knowledge, just what I'm looking for. I'm looking into this controller because I'm a big FG player, and the PS4/PS5 dpad is just god awful for me and flakes the simplest of inputs. I've used an Xb1 to PS4 adapter for years, because the Xb1 dpad has all the individual clicks for each direction and never misses a beat for me. Just got a PS5 the other day for sf6 and upcoming mk1, tried giving the dualsense a chance but it's not working out + there's no Xbox to PS5 adapters out yet that work with PS5 versions of games. Do you think the dpad on this controller, or the one on the razer wolverine would be my answer? Like have better dpad registry and/or have the solid individual clicks in it?
@gyaroxx7829 unfortunately can't answer this question for you, as I don't own the Victrix pad, and I'm not pad player for fighting games (I use levers). I personally think the PS4 pad is rather good, especially after trying cheap 3rd party pads. I was mainly going through reviews on this pad, as I was interested in pads that have a thumbstick for dpad inputs, like the Hori PS5 fight pad, and I was wondering if this Victrix pad could do this (it doesn't seem like it does).
I planning to get the the victrix next month because the dpad on the ps5 controller is positively abysmal while playing mk1. Can the right module be swapped so the thumbstick is on top and buttons on bottom? Wondering what having both sticks at the top would play like. Also wish it had vibration, that adds a lot to games and its one of the nice things controller has over PC.
No, and that's the only downside for most people, but I still love it, some say the material isn't as high quality, but if it was, the price would be more, I play lots of types of games, from racing, sports, the odd FPS, and fighting games, and this controller can do it all.
I had the vitrix Xbox controller and was impressed with it, however the main issue is had was stick drift. It started drifting heavily within 3 months. I managed to get a knew on the warranty, but had the same issue with the replacement. I would rather them invest a little more in quality control.

I actually just ordered this before watching your review 😂 First thing excellent vid very clear 👍 I am pleased with what I heard. Been wanting a controller with rear paddles for some time but refuse to pay over 200 for any of them!!! Got this for £150 which I think is more than enough for any controller! After watching this I eagerly await delivery 👍 I will probably do a small vid myself on what I think playing Call of duty! Cheers.
This would be a good controller if they sold modules, but they don't so when that ish starts drifting it's time for a new controller. That's why I bought the DS Edge
Lol wrong move dude. You know ds edge is not immune to drift? People have complained about it happening despite the "feature" you paid over $200 for to swap the analog stick out for an extra $20. Fuck you give me more money says Sony. No reports or mention of drift with this controller.
3 months later still no problems and support from Playstation with firmware updates. Victrix has problems, doesn't look good, they don't sell modules and no adaptive triggers which are needed for some games. Very right move on my part, not sure why you're coming at me. Buy what you want kitten
Great video sr, I learn lot about, just quick question when you have the chance, what pro controller do you recommend for ps5? I come from using a astro c40 for my ps4 as my first pro controller but im looking for similar experience, I appreciate and thanks 👍
Get the dualsense edge. I own about 4 now about to have a 5th one coming in the middle of October. And a custom shell and don't forget to upgrade the battery.
I use the BattleBeaver customer controller which let you design it on their website and pick exact positioning of up to four rear buttons. It's amazing as it has all the features of a normal dualsense bar the haptics. I still bought the Dualsense Edge, but the battery on it means I use it less than the BattleBeaver 🎮
Well scuf, and many others, takes a stock playstation controller and mods it, thats why it works as a stock controller would, turning on/waking the console, having adaptive triggers, dongle-less connection, and rumble
So for the edge controller you get: Replaceable thumsticks, worse battery life, will have stick drift every so on, two back button, for each game you can make your own settings and change the volume right from your controller for 200$ Victrix pro controller comes with: About 16H battery life, a much longer cable, can have either playstation or xbox layout, a fight pad, doesn't have an audio nor a mic, 4 back buttons instead of two and it can have hall effects (immune to stick drift) for the same price of the edge You really love to make anything that is playstation brand as perfect as possible not saying a single bad thing about it when it clearly dose
Wait did they change the DPAD from the time of your review to now a cheap disc thing? Or is that proper DPAD you're using just one of the options in the box?
I have a DualSense Edge that I am using as a normal controller. Nacon Revolution Pro 5 to replace my Scuf that have an issue with R3 and L3. :) I am thinking to try this one as well, as I love 4 back buttongs. Its like $200💀
less than 200 which is cheap for a pro ps5 controller
I got it for 100
@@miamidestinationstravel2697 same i found one a tier refurbish for only 100 so i will buy it
that’s literally every pro controller what did you expect
Doesn’t vibrate though 😂
Cheap “pro”
I actually just ordered this before watching your review 😂 First thing excellent vid very clear 👍 I am pleased with what I heard. Been wanting a controller with rear paddles for some time but refuse to pay over 200 for any of them!!! Got this for £150 which I think is more than enough for any controller! After watching this I eagerly await delivery 👍 I will probably do a small vid myself on what I think playing Call of duty! Cheers.
People have been having a problem with the stick drift, I am stuck in buying this or the edge, have you had any problems with drift yet?
Interesting controller to be licensed by Sony
Yes it’s great to see PlayStation licensing 3rd party controllers.
Can you do both joysticks on top?
No
This would be a good controller if they sold modules, but they don't so when that ish starts drifting it's time for a new controller.
It costs 180 buck how is that cheap💀
“Cheaper”
Bro I went on Amazon it literally goes for 180
No, I mean it’s cheaper than the others. Not that’s it’s cheap.
@@SpawnPoiint oh ok
Get the dualsense edge. I own about 4 now about to have a 5th one coming in the middle of October. And a custom shell and don't forget to upgrade the battery.
Ps5 pro controller, keep up the good work man
Thanks man, I appreciate that 🙌
What do you recommend as tv or monitor for ps5
Tv I’d go for an LG OLED for a monitor I’d look at an UltraGear or ROG
As someone who plays a lot of controller games on PC, I would really like this controller for playing those games ngl.
5:10 when I tap the back button. I don’t flash at all
Hold Back center button WHILE pressing back paddle once. That will get your controller to blink for a mapping choice
Would you recommend this over the razer if money isn’t a problem?
Razer is much more expensive.
Loved this one.
Thank you 🙏
Halo infinite on ps5
This controller is good for me❤
love the color
I use the BattleBeaver customer controller which let you design it on their website and pick exact positioning of up to four rear buttons. It's amazing as it has all the features of a normal dualsense bar the haptics. I still bought the Dualsense Edge, but the battery on it means I use it less than the BattleBeaver 🎮
Hold Back center button WHILE pressing back paddle once. That will get your controller to blink for a mapping choice
Definitely interested in this controller, would precision rings and kontrolfreek grips work with this?
Having sticks and the d pad that appears to function like the sega d pad seems cool. Can you confirm that's how the one top functions.
Ps5 pro controller! Nice video!
Well scuf, and many others, takes a stock playstation controller and mods it, thats why it works as a stock controller would, turning on/waking the console, having adaptive triggers, dongle-less connection, and rumble
So for the edge controller you get:
Replaceable thumsticks, worse battery life, will have stick drift every so on, two back button, for each game you can make your own settings and change the volume right from your controller for 200$
Victrix pro controller comes with:
About 16H battery life, a much longer cable, can have either playstation or xbox layout, a fight pad, doesn't have an audio nor a mic, 4 back buttons instead of two and it can have hall effects (immune to stick drift) for the same price of the edge
You really love to make anything that is playstation brand as perfect as possible not saying a single bad thing about it when it clearly dose
DualSense Edge it's one of the best controller I ever had (and had more than 8 Pro controllers). The only 'issue' I have is that there are only 2 back buttons. Everything else it's perfect: weight, feeling etc
this looks like it can be a good fight pad for fighters. the dpad and fight pad module sre something i can really get behind. especially since i always prefer my controllers like that when it comes to fighting games.
Are you going to do the RAZR one next.
This is pretty decent as I am burning through my 4th scuff controller now
Just bought one,1 day shipping can't wait to give it a go.
Switching from the xbox since day one to the ps5 pro this controller looks godly for me lol
Does it use a DS4 mainboard though? I'm asking because im curious about gyro as it truly is a game changer for aiming
I was debating on picking one of these up... but might go for the duel sense edge.
Do that.
might get it just for the fight pad... but I just bought the nacon revolution 5 pro and the razer wolverine v2 pro wireless 😊
I gotta have offset thumb sticks 😊
This is gunna be great in helping me with my arthritic fingers
Looks great, but does it get stick drift constantly like the dual sense controllers do? I’ve been through 3 dual sense controllers in 4 months due to stick drift.
Take care of the controllers dude
@@staychill8969 I’m 62 years old and play games like Hogwarts legacy and Witcher and I do not beat my controllers….i just get drift regularly and I have no control over that. I even wash my hands before playing. I’ve had to buy 3 controllers in the 4 months I’ve owned my PS5. If they are gonna sell lousy controllers they are gonna get drift I guess. Glad you don’t have the issue apparently but I certainly do and it’s not my fault.
I just bought Victrix and Hori Octa, will see which one to keep. Will use them for Tekken 8 as dualsense dpad is letting me down.
i dont like how i cant map the back button to the right analog stick i can only map it to R3
What's your top 5 picks for pc controllers i really like to know
There's a big issue in that apparently if you want to use it as a PC controller you have to flip the button on top of your controller. But if you do, you can't use the headset jack on the controller. It's a really flawed issue.
