Looks suspiciously like the Astro C40, but thats definitely not a bad thing, I loved that controlled aside from its analogue issues.
Yeah that's the most important part though. They gave so many of those away they just stopped making them

Domed stick always to left stick. Dont know if its just me but its easier/faster to push l3 with a domed stick and in shooters it usually sprint :D might be preference thing
I got the edge since there will hopefully be hal joysticks. 2 back buttons is enough for me atm. It's replacing my dualsense. I like that control freaks fit the edge. This controller looks awesome too. For cod I don't use any haptic feedback and have a headset.
you dont want hall sticks most likely , its no drift sure. but three times the minimal deadzone feels weird.
@@IssaFIre672 interesting, I had no idea. I don't want three times the deadzone. I added back buttons to my dualsense and I think I prefer the placement of them compared to the edge. Maybe I'll just swap the sticks for replacement potentiometer ones in the dualsense.

i actually prefer domb on the right stick as the longer stick which allows ur finger to hit the edge right, especially as they wear down. left side short concave fits the finger and u hold it a lot more for running etc... I'd be concerned of longevity. My ps5 controller i've had since release is still perfect, I've had so many issues with Scuf reflex I would never recommend (note I had great experience with the Impact Ps4 variant) Sony tends to atleast put out quality.

Dome stick to the left always. It is the thumb you need to move to press up, down, left or right buttons. Domey sticks are not as grippy normally but that is a good thing for the left stick. If you like the concave stick, now you have two for the right one which is more important and grippy. You never want to raise your right thumb (X, O, square and triangle are assigned to back buttons).

Waiting on mine to arrive…in transit but delayed due to a winter weather in Texas, been in Texas just about all week. The edge is nice so far. I’ll be using both over the next few months, I like them both for different reasons.

Whatever you do just don't place it in or around a toaster. Or try and plug it into a foreign outlet as this will damage the controller and void the warranty

I use the Astro c40 and is the best controller I ever had, people say they break pretty fast however I had mine for 3 years and never had stick drift
Yep still rocking the c40 as well. Have a backup but have never needed to touch it. Too bad astro doesnt have ps5 controller
Same. I love my c40 but it’s not compatible with ps5 version of games so I’m hoping this controller is similar

@user-up2og1sq6n well I got it but I took it back. It’s a great controller but the thumb sticks are a little too small for my liking. And when you layout it out like a ps controller, the thumb sticks are more closer together than the standard dual sense.
Should I use the dongle over the wired method ?
me personally i like the short dome stick for the left stick, and the tall flat stick for the right.

I was gonna get this but pdp replied to me today saying they do not sell spare parts yet. Also the adjustment software isn’t ready yet either. That has put me off. I’ll probably just go for the edge.
I actually pre ordered victrix Pro first, then found out about dualsense Edge and when something went wrong with my order I just got the edge instead and I've been loving it but it only has 2 back buttons where as victrix has 4
I had a controller with 4 and found myself never using the other buttons. So for me it’s not a big deal
Dom sticks are for rotating or games you use your hands to move while pressing the buttons on your right hand. Or flickin
I was really digging every feature you listed but no haptics is rough.
Can you try to play Returnal on this controler. If there is no haptic, you should have problems with gun modes, which are triggered by haptic

they have opposite options idk why they cant add rubber triggers and padding for the others duel sense just to me another xbox controller buttt the moduler controller reminds me of the razer one

In Apex there's a thing called super gliding where you press jump and crouch at the same time.
When you updated on pc did you have Steam installed on it? There’s a conflicting issue with drivers that don’t allow updates if steam is on your pc. Waiting for the fix

i'm pretty interested in that too. would be sick for people who would rather repair the controller than buy a new one.
too many of my controllers die from stick drift around a year in and I don't really have the skills to solider in a replacement sensor.
So I just bought the Dual Sense Edge. I love this controller and this is my seventh pro controller for the PS5. These are all the pro controllers I own

I love all of these controllers but all of these controllers does something that the other doesn't. For instance the razor wolverine V2 controller has six extra buttons which is very convenient for games like call of duty and it has the trigger stops as well but it doesn't have the haptics that the regular PS5 controller has. The scuf reflex is a great controller. It has four paddles on the back and being able to switch between three profiles is great but the only problem is it doesn't have trigger stops. When it comes to controllers the only controller that checks off everything on my list when it comes to an all-around great controller is the Xbox elite series 2 controller. I have one elite series 2 controller because it checks off everything. Trigger stops haptics for paddles and it even has software to fine-tune your aim like the dual sense Edge does. This controller looks great but does it have everything probably not.
I’m already getting stuck drift in my dualsense edge
Really thinking of getting this one instead of the edge. The Elite Series 2 is still my favorite controller at the moment super comfortable and for the amount of options and features it offers at a reasonable price point. The $200 price tag on the edge combined with the 5 hr battery life and lack of features compared to other pro controllers, only 2 back buttons, no stick tension adjustment of any kind, no charging dock on the carrying case etc. It just seems it offers too little for $200 plus tax.
I think this victrix bfg pro one is better than the edge.
I love my elite 2 controller its so hard to use the ps5 controller after using the Xbox elite V2
You're absolutely right. Sony only did it, because they know they've a legion of fuckboys who'll buy their garbage, regardless of its value, just like Nintendo.

Bought this and returned, this controller is built very cheap and dead zones are sensitive.
Ordered dual sense edge instead.

L2 R2 triggers are too high. It’s very uncomfortable trying to not hit the triggers. Same with the back buttons, you’re constantly hitting back buttons or triggers. I took the controller back & bought the edge. So glad I did.

I recent picked this up and did my own review video too. The controller is solid but I do have some complaints. No rumble feature in a $180 controller is kind of insane. I also don't really like how close the shoulder buttons and triggers are. Other than that this is easily the best controller I've ever used. It took some getting used to but man for fighting games this game is GREAT
in a controller that’s geared for shooters and fighting games why would you want rumble tho?

No issues. They feel good. Just enough click and not too easy to accidentally press. Theu fit the curve of the controller nicely.
Can you power on the ps5 with the controller? If so, will it work via wired and wireless mode for powering on?

Just got this as an early valentines day gift. I guess it's cool but it feels like it doesn't actually do that much for the price. I'm especially disappointed that it doesn't seem to have any sort of turbo function but maybe that's because it was made to be tournament legal?
I don’t know man, I’m actually poppin off of apex because of it, but it takes a while to get used to, if you’re unhappy which game do you play that makes you feel that way?
@Wave got vibes I've changed my mind since I've had more time to use it. I haven't gotten used to using the six face button setup when I play street fighter v yet, but this has worked great for mw2. Again, I wish it had turbo and maybe some features from the normal ps5 controller like rumble or trigger feedback, but overall I think this controller is great for a strong no nonsense controller.

I think so. If you dont play fighting games that feature is mute. So the remapping and left joystick placement is the highlight
Id like to see this against the razor control that was released as well. Does the PS button power console on and off or nah? For GOW i like my extremekit buttons i added, i use them for my L1 and R1 and noticed i was having more fun with combat

No Hall effects on the Victrix. I've been stalking this controller and that was almost a deal breaker but I ordered it anyway lol
One MAJOR selling point for me is if you can buy a new joystick. For the duel sense edge you can buy new joysticks when they do wear down. But can you buy new ones for the victrix controller?

Got mine in two days ago and I am just really unsatisfied with it. The buttons on the back are really poorly placed and the controller feels really cheap. Have been trying to return and PDPs return policy is worse than this product. If you have used it, they will not refund with a return.

Anyone arguing over Xbox vs ps layout needs to realize it's just a personal preference from what you've played with more. I have both next gen consoles but after being a lifelong Xbox fan after ps2 it always feels uncomfortable using playstation controllers but I can still play fine.
Has anybody figured out how to turn on the PS5 from sleep mode with this controller? I have the dongle plugged in and nothing happens. Just blinking lights but ps stays off.

Do this controller work on ps4 ?
This controller has hyper sensitive triggers, that my idle grip would set them off, and the software to set dead zones on them hasn't fully launched the customization features. all it does is update the firmware.
What about Stickdrift?
Still can't swap anything modules out as of June 24th 2024
they should have made it so both analogs could be swapped around
