Wow. He just adored that horse!! I know he doesn't feel lucky right now - but there are few people that are so blessed to have a friendship like Eric had with Hickstead. A terrible loss for Canada and especially for Eric.
@HorseJumpingLover321 yea, I actually know the girl that owns him. I seriously adore him no matter what. He is my rolde model and idol in life and riding. He is pretty much what keeps me going and he (Him and Hickstead as a pair aswell) are my in inpiration

@magichorse18 Horses take congratulants, and are used to being man handled, it's natural. I saw this in person, it was magical, Hickstead deserved all the credit that Eric put on him after the last round.

Erics and Hicksteads relationship is amazing, They were truley one of the best horse and rider pair ever! Condolences to Eric
God doesn't need to give this horse his angels wings, he can fly on his own.

I was there, it was amazing to watch
